Goldstar RV Caravan
I got my Goldstar RV Caravan 12th May 2016. I cannot fault Goldstar RV. Any time there has been a Warranty issue they have bent over Backwards to fix it.
I got my Van back from Goldstar RV. I could not be more pleased. They just done everything to my Van. They re- did the Electricals, Cladding and anything else they could find that was a problem. I asked them to do a few extras which I negotiated a price. They done what I asked and when I asked to pay for it. l be no charge". Shane rang me on numerous occasions telling me what they were doing. Shane and Petra and Management of Goldstar RV could not do enough for me. If your buying a New Van all Manufacturers use Australian and imported Parts. The difference between the Manufacturer's is there Warranty. This is where Goldstar RV excell. I am very glad I brought a Goldstar RV and I would highly recommend anyone to look at their Vans. Goldstar RV are a Credit to Recreational Vehicle Industry.

Similar issues; but not as bad as yours
Did you go as far as Fair Trading to get things rectified? I am looking at these options. There is a staff person that is very helpful; but her bosses are as handy as an ash tray on a motor bike. My van was supposed to be ready to go; but took 2 months to get to Qld. It wasn't filthy; but it wasn't detailed either. My van is different to the original photos as well, & it looks like it is a couple of years old; but plated 2018.

can't use it. The incorrect compliance plate was applied & now the van is illegal due to weights. I agree with the comments that Shane & Petra try to be helpful, but their hands are tied by Management. I have taken Goldstar RV through small claims & currently have an unpaid default of $3.9k against them (still not paid), plus I am waiting on warranty issues to be resolved. Great caravan very happy
We have had our van for for almost 12 months done many trips long and short and have loved every minute. Found a couple of minor defects which were promptly repaired under warranty.

Worst service ever
The caravan is about 4/10 totally different van than I ordered and the photos they sent, big bubbles in front of roof, leaks in front cupboard and front boot so fast it’s like a hose, blew 2 tyres after about 6000 km ( not happy) lots of smaller issues, wasn’t ready on time, payed more for freight than I was told, van was filthy when I got it. There’s not enough space on this page to mention the terribly bad service and lies.

Bad caravan and sales team
After a long process of checking out other caravans, we decided on a Goldstar from Adelaide, the sales man seemed really nice in the beginning. But I find him to me the biggest con artist. When the caravan was finally delivered after waiting 3 months from deposit which I was told would only take 3 weeks it came with lots of things missing that were written on the contract, plus some broken items, this was meant to be new. I wouldn’t advise anyone to buy from them. Plus we have lost our deposit, which I have been fighting about with them.

Value for money
I have a 2016 19.6 semi off road Goldstar RV. I have not had any issues with it, it tows fantastically and everything works. A similar speed can would have cost me $15-20 000 more. As a South Aussie I also love the fact that the dealer is local and approachable.

Very Happy Camper for over a year now !!
I’ve been living in my 22ft Goldstar Bravo for over a year now travelling from town to town with work.
I've now upgraded my aircon and fridge with the help of Goldstar
They also supplied a second fridge which works well in my vehicle !
The shell, fittings and accessories I can hardly fault.
I did have an issue with the antenna cable which has now been fixed.
The showers and washing machine is still going strong and great !
Regards the manufacturing I think the main frame and chassis are made in China however the bulk of my van was ass...Read more

No Gold Star for Goldstar RV and Caravans!
If we could have done less than 'one star' that would have been my 1st choice.
We did our research on new vans and this range came across as excellent value for money so we ordered a New Goldstar Liberty 19 ft van for some $48000.00 and we ordered online [early March 2018] to be delivered to WA from SA. Later phone calls and finalising the deal verbally, don't do it.
Original quote for delivery was $750.00 we were then forced to pay $2000.00 or we could go pick it up in SA!

Hey Nigel, thanks for your inquiry. The Goldstar Liberty Tourer is a lightweight, easy to tow caravan built using aluminium frames and high density compressed foam inside a one piece sandwich panel construction for the walls and the roof. Depending on the size, it can easily be towed, already set up for free camping and has industry standard appliances, fittings etc. Cheers

We have paid to have the van fixed ourselves, to make it safe and have sold it. It was a bad reminder seeing it everyday. It's put us off from caravaning, ever again.
Goldstar RV are crooks. The New Consumer Laws are going to fry these people.
