I have been a member since Jan 2020 I believe. I do not use the main gym or PT, I just don't enjoy it. I joined because the class timetables were good and fit around work. Unfortunately classes finished too early with competitors. I have really enjoyed the different classes, I also took a use any gym package meaning I can use any Goodlife accross the country. This has been paticularly handy when driving home from Brisbane to GC from work. If the traffics busy, I have Carindale, Logan or Coomera en route. I can do a class instead of hitting traf...
Read morefic. Most of the gyms are really helpful if you tell them you haven't been before. I've found all the classes well run, and have been feeling much better after doing them. Facilities (change et) are ranked adequate to good depending on gym. I think having the use any gym is super helpful and worth a little extra.

Really loved the one in Toowoomba, curious what the Ipswich one is like
I signed up in Toowoomba with really friendly staff, and I love the equipment and the 24/7 access. For what I'm paying a week I feel like I'm getting my monies worth. Haven't had a chance to check out Ipswich since I moved yesterday, but I hop it's as good as the one in Toowoomba.

Payneham Goodlife is a great gym, the classes are fun and engaging. I did join to use the pool but that is not easy now because they have lots of kids swimming lessons there now. My only major gripe is the amount of litter around the building. I have mentioned this to reception before and they did follow up and clean the carparks free of rubbish however within a week it was back to the usual bad situation of lots of litter. There was a used nappy in the carpark near the entrance which sat there for a few days before anyone picked it up and put it in the bin. Please Goodlife if you are reading this clean up your act for the environments sake.

I have been going to the Goodlife Dernancourt Gym for over 2 years now, and have enjoyed the experience. Lots of equipment so generally you dont need to wait at all for an item. Would prefer if there was more boxing items available to users such as boxing bags. I pay $13 per week which is very attractive price considering i go 4 times a week, so for $3.50 a session that is very very good value!

My recent post of unauthorised money withdrawn from my account has been sorted out by the Bundall Goodlife manager. I was hesitant at first, but am currently doing the trial. I am still considering signing up after my trial as the equipment is new and working well, plenty of room to accommodate for the members. There does need to be more pilates, yoga and rpm during the peak time for mums who go after kids are dropped off at school though. I am older than most so I don't have any interest in most of the classes run by the young girls, but there are plenty of other classes to chose from. RPM very popular and gets filled early, so they need more sessions. I'm very happy with my outcome after the manager resolved the issues.
The gym is good. Good classes. The creche has TV which I didn't like. The creche is only
till 12pm. Otherwise it's good.

I have been to a few different Goodlife gyms in Brisbane and always find the service friendly and a good range of equipment.

I’ve been a member at Fountain Gate Goodlife since it opened. It is clean, has great 24:7 facilities, a good range of gym equipment and Les Mill group fitness classes. I’ve never had a problem there over the years so just writing this to counteract all the whingers. At $13.95 per week it’s great value.

This gym is well equipped and has a good range of free weights, machines and floor space for training and stretching. Has a good range of classes too.

I have an all access clubs pass and it is great value for money. I love the range of classes available. I pay $15.50 per week. Goodlife have a habit of charging different prices for different people so make sure you haggle.

I have been a Goodlife member for about 4 years now and usually train at Subiaco or the perth CBD clubs. I am always feeling welcomed and incase some problem arises with payment or other admin it had always been fixed. Moreover, I had recently recvived a free week as compensation for a small mistake they made. The facilities are clean and in a decent condition and the weekly price of $16.9 seem reasonable to me considering the steam room and spa which I use regularly .

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I was a member in Parramatta Goodlife Health Club for around 18 months and didn't had any issues at all. It has ample space and the only health club which has sauna and steam rooms.
I totally recommend it.

My experience with Good Life has been outstanding. I can't speak about the staff or facilities at other locations around the country but I can say Good Life in Myaree is a fantastic facility with more than adequate equipment and very clean change rooms and wet areas. The staff are helpful and friendly if you need them and when you don't they leave you alone to get on with your workout.
I do laugh when I read the complaints on here about contracts. It's very simple people don't sign up and commit to a contract if you cannot keep your side of the commitment. The terms and conditions couldn't be any clearer.

I've been a member for the last 3 years at Fitzroy Vic. Great personal trainers and friendly staff. I've also done 3 of the 12 week challenges and had great results.

Positives: I joined Goodlife when I moved area and had to therefore change gyms - was CBJs as Mt Gravatt - Kessels Road (fab gym!). Overall I've had a great experience with Goodlife. Great facilities - love the saltwater pool at Morningside. And I've really loved the classes at both clubs. The club was rally helpful too when I wanted to put on hold and later cancel my membership due to dealing with my father's terminally ill health. The staff on reception are friendly.
Negatives: I was not at all impressed though with the workout progr...
Read moreamme given when I first joined. It was pretty rubbish really and very light on - and the feeling was more that the person wanted me to book in to do personal training with them -at an extra cost. At my previous gym, the workout programme was brilliant - wish I had thought to grab it from the filing cabinet before I left! At previous gym the fellow who ran me through a personalised programme was always checking in with me when I was there - just to check how I was doing and asking if I had any questions or needed help. Not so with Goodlife - you're on your own - completely from day 1. I don't mind that so much - but it would have been nice to have had a more personal touch. Currently considering whether to return to Goodlife and do the 12 week challenge. I do love that pool! I wish I lived back near my old gym - it was so personal - loved everything about it.Questions & Answers
Can I ask which Goodlife Health clubs in Perth WA have a swimming pool ??
My home club is in Bibra Lake which has a pool. I have just upgraded my membership to be able to use all the Goodlife gyms in Perth..
Bibra Lake Pool is great but has been out of action for months and the LIES about repairs are laughable. Ring and ask about pool!
Why do you think it is ok to charge members for kick starter packs, 8 week challenges and quarterly coaching yet the trainer does these UNPAID?
This seems very dodgy. None of the crap they are leads to the trainer or business building hours you are profiting extra on top of membership and rent charge to trainers as well
Are members aware that the trainers pay rent to the gym to work there? They aren't employees even though they are wearing a goodlife top. They are paying a $1600 contract then from 3 months onwards $300 plus a week rent to work there. Kick starter packs or jump start packs which the gym charges the member are done by the trainer as unpaid sessions. The 8 or 12 week challenge which the gym charge members the trainer does unpaid. Quarterly coaching which some members receive again is done by the trainer for free. This gym franchise is using trainers as unpaid labour and dodgy employee entitlements.
Bit late but it's standard to charge rent to trainers. Trainers can work for salary but it tends to be better to just pay rent and collect all your earnings yourself. Goodlife has one of the highest r...
Read moreents, but they also have some of the best PT support networks like lead generation lists and business training seminars for their PTs. And all these challenges and quarterly sessions etc, unpaid as they may be, get a potential client in front of a PT for them to attempt to convert into a long term client. Getting clients in front of the PT is the most surefire way of getting ongoing clients.
