Can I get a repair kit for the Hills Garden Sprayer, 1 Litre. I have 3 now that won't pump up, I might go to the bigger sprayer, if none available, as it looks like they are available. Thank You, Susy.

Hi there, how do you attach the lance? When I insert it and tighten the screw it still just falls right out and spray goes everywhere. I have read manual many times and even tried forcing the lance piece in hoping it would lock into place but it doesn’t and keeps falling out.

I have a 16l backpack sprayer. It wont stop spraying when I release the trigger. Have pulled it apart and is leaking everywhere now. It would be useful to a have a youtube video on how to fix these things but don't seem to be available. Have contacted Hills but they don't seem to have a spare trigger handles. Was told to buy a generic one or speak to a hardware repair service person. Bunnings/Mitre10 don't have these spare parts and don't service units. Anyone out there able to help before I toss it into landfill and buy a different brand?

Hello fellow Aussie. Here is a link to the assembly instructions. Be sure before you start that you go gently on the plastic threads. I hope this helps. Kind Regards.

Good Afternoon Britt,

Thank you for taking the time to review our product. I would recommend contacting our friendly customer service team through our email [email protected]. If you could send us through a photo of the lance and the connecting pieces you have. From their we can review the setup to confirm everything is there and correct. If it is not we can find a resolution to get the unit working.

Also thank you 'Aussie Consumer' for providing that extra advice.

Many Thanks,
Hills Customer Service

How do you unblock the nozzle on the sprayer

Aussie Consumer
Aussie Consumer ·

Hi Ros, I’ve cleared blockage by removing the actual nozzle then ensuring you’ve got pressure, press the discharge to clear the pipe then put the nozzle back on to your desired output. I can’t say that I’ve ever had the actual nozzle itself blocking before but if it did I’d be inclined to rinse it and blow it out backwards with breath. I hope this helps.

Good Afternoon Ros,

Thank you for contacting us. We recommend to remove the nozzle and disassembly the nozzle assembly to be able to rinse them thoroughly. We recommend to use warm water to help loosen any debris that may be causing the blockage. If we can help with anything else, please contact our friendly customer service team on 1300 327 293 or alternatively email us at [email protected]

Many Thanks,

Sometimes when I spray sulphur or copper powder dissolved in water, I get a gel like build up on filter.
I simply remove mesh filter and hold it under warm running water whilst scrubbing it with a toothbrush
Works a treat.
To avoid bbuild up, always run fresh clean water through system every time you finish with your spraying.

Have Hills 5Lt sprayer and the sprayer handle wont switch off. As pumping air into sprayer the water comes out the nozzle Lance and you can place the switch in any position and it wont stop water from spraying. Would it be the plunger assembly (298) in the handle or perhaps the (313) pump valve at bottom of pump barrel. I replaced seals in handle but couldn't get the plunger out- is there a secret in this as maybe the problem.

I just bought a Hills pressure garden sprayer. I WOULD like to USE it !!!
I can't get it open to put in the spray !
Found a site that said "turn it counterclockwise...it will be hard...but just continue till it opens"

Well this one is NOT opening...any hints please ?

spudatthebrook
spudatthebrook ·

try filling the laundry tub with hot water then dunking it in, holding it {the pump section] upside down for about 10 minutes until the plastic is hot, try, by hand [turning counter clockwise] if that doesn't work get a friend to hold it and use multi-grips or Stiltons to unscrew it, good luck!!

Hubby had no problems with this part of the unit. If you haven't already opened it, recommend you take it make to your supplier for assistance or refund. We have changed to Solo! Good luck

Have only used it a few times, it's good.

I used the (new) 4 litre Hills Garden spray a couple of months ago, cleaned it and put it away for another day. That day has come and now I can't get the thing to work. Took off the brass end and tried to clean that but not sure what else to do. Don't know what that green button is for underneath the wand but it must have some sort of use? Can anyone help please before I have to buy yet another spray?

Tom N
Tom N ·

Unscrew green button. A spring and valve is inside. Take long nosed pliers and slowly pull valve out. Valve has "o" ring on it. Clean housing, lubricate "o" ring and replace. Tom N
