Smooth driving
From the outside, the hatch back has a sharp look. Has the sports car outline especially the rear end. Doors are a bit tight, so have to use a bit of strength to push it open.
The car engine is even quieter than Toyota cars, which is perfect. Steering wheel has light feeling to it, so it turns smoothly.
Touch screen doesn't freeze or glitch, however it is very distracting if you want to change a song or adjust the heating/cooling while driving. You have to go through few settings before getting to what you want. Not like old school cars, yo...Read more

Just a good looking car
The VTi-S Hatchback car has the looks and internal space to make the car a medium size car with exceptional fuel economy and handling reserved for more expensive cars. The car has some features like keyless entry and a push button start. The audio with 8 speakers are exceptional for a car in this class. The boot space when compared to other cars in its class is much larger than the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai i30 or the Mazda 3. The road handling is excellent in both dry and wet conditions. I have not had to fill the car since I bought it and have not taken it anywhere near a highway but it has very good seats in both front and back. The only thing I could complain about is the lack of enclosed storage in the main cabin.

Good features and roomy car
Bought this car 3 weeks and done 500km on it so far.
Good technology features package, love the apple carplay and android auto that allows me to do a lot of things from mobile.
Driving experience is smooth and quiet, gentle most of the time but the turbo engine will deliver instant power whenever you need it. Fuel consumption is really good for a 1.5L petrol engine, I have 6.5L (90% urban driving).
Electric driver seat but it'd be good to have memory function.
The digital speedometer is great with a lot of information to choose from, but th...Read more

Love it!
Only had for 1 week. This car drives exceptionally well, beautifully in fact. It's smooth and quiet and feels like it's floating along with fantastic direct steering. Power from the 1.8 litre motor is more than adequate and the auto transmission is ultra smooth. For a semi mid size sedan the interior room is very good. There is ample leg room especially for back seat passengers. The drivers seat can be raised or lowered as can the steering wheel to create the ideal drivers position and comfort. I really like the dash layout and soft coloured li...Read more
ghting. The digital speedometer is great along with a wealth of various information permanently displayed. For the size of the car the boot is enormous. A brilliant safety feature is the blind spot camera affixed to the left hand side mirror. It automatically displays rear side vision on the large central screen when operating the left indicator or can function by pressing a button on the tip of the indicator arm. In my opinion the beautiful sleek body design and overall quality places the Honda Civic above that of all other makes in its class. So far I've only travelled 550ks so it's to early to comment on reliability and running costs however fuel economy appears very good.

Best car I have had ever
The new Honda Civic is the best car I have had, so happy with the overall performance. On a trip I am getting 4.7 litres per 100 kms and around the city 7.0 litres . I am so happy with the running cost especially at this time with the high cost of petrol.
The car is so quiet and smooth on the road and I open the sun roof and feel and hear the breeze.
The entire interior is great, radio, air conditioner and GPS so easy to use. I am not a very tall person but my family say even with the driver seat pushed back the overall legroom in the car is fabulous.
My car is a very dark blue and I absolutely recommend Honda to all.
I was very lucky to have Yuki Wang the best ever Car Sales person at Nordic Honda - Adelaide.
Thank you Honda.

Fantastic, sports like, car
Driving Honda Civic is only a pleasure. Easy to drive, fast on take off and very quiet. Camera in the passenger side mirror is the best improvement I experienced for many years.
Interior is a huge improvement to what I experienced in previous Honda Civic MK9. Not only very roomy, but very nice, modern and advanced. With touch screen and that additional side camera this Honda Civic cannot do wrong for the price it's offered.
Very reliable and economic. 7 lt of petrol per 100 km on average that's not too bad for a sedan.

Amazing car
I have a Honda Civic manual,
We drove that from north to south along the East coast of Australia. Amazing comfort, that was the first pro which made us buys this car.
Very economical, and we love the comfort of driving. I am impressed by the stability and especially when making turns.
On the downside, I would believe that it is suitable to city driving but still good for interstate drives (with a cruise control).

Love this car
As soon as I saw the new Civic hatch, I was in love. There's five models in the range, I went for the VTI-L with a 1.5 litre turbo engine, and CVT transmission. It also has paddle shifters if you want a more hands on drive, and an eco mode Handling is good, it's smooth to drive, and the turbo engine has some grunt. Some might find it a bit noisy, but I love the sound of it. It's more of a medium sized small car, which gives it a spacious feel in the front and back. The boot is also the largest in its class. Dual zone climate control, lane wa...Read more
tch, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights, rear parking camera are standard on the VTI-L. The interior has a quality feel to it too. I test drove a few small cars, and none came close to the driving experience of the Civic. I couldn't be happier with it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Big Change... to the outside.
My last 6th gen Civic lasted me a good 20 years and it was still going. So when the 10th gen came out with all new design (and good reviews compared to the desasterous 9th gen), I figured it was time for an upgrade. I had compared it with the (also redesigned) Hyundai Elantra and the (oldish) Skoda Octavia. I had picked the Civic Sedan for its exciting design, included technology, and claimed fuel consumption. And I'm glad I did. I got the base VTi model as I'm old school and don't like all the fancy gadgets or a computer telling me how I shoul...Read more
d drive. The most obvious difference is the size of the car (and the boot). It is almost a mid size car which is good for interior comfort and rear leg room. Takes a little getting use to when parking. Glad they have included the reverse camera in the base model. But would have preferred the parking sensors and blind spot indicator in the mirrors (not that distracting camera system) as well. The suspensions are well tuned and it is low and stable so it feels confident on the road. The gen 2 CVT is much better and smoother than most other CVT out there. But I think the technology is still not advance enough to replace a dual clutch gearbox just yet. As an A-to-B car, it has more than enough power, even with 5 people onboard. I had to pay $300 for the black grille on my 2018 model. Since the mid-cycle redesign in 2022, the black grille came as standard. A little disappointed I had to pay extra as the original chrome grille looks horrible. As are the two optional spoilers for non-RS models. The Civic is supposed to look sporty but instead the tiny spoiler turned it into a duck. My headlight level had to be adjusted as they were too low. I would have thought that was checked when it came out of the factory.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Has anyone experienced problems with the airconditioning not functioning properly in 2016 Honda Civic 1.5 litre turbo model?
Mine can take up to 15 minutes before cold air flows on a hot day and then cuts out again if I turn the fan down or change airflow direction.
Similarly in winter, the a/c doesn't effectively demise the front windscreen as the cold air doesn't cut in for ages.
