My2019 eu30i keeps going to overload I ran a cig inverter welder from it at low amps and I was told this could have caused damage to the inverter ? I have replaced the spark plug and rectifier in the hope this would fix the problem but it didnt I am not sure what to do next .
I have a new Honda EU30IS generator. Page 33 of the owners manual shows circuit protection reset push buttons.....my unit does not have these. What happens if I overload the generator ? I am located in Victoria Australia.
Hi, I’ve recently bought a brand new EU30IS and have just changed the oil, not It will start and run for a short time then cut off.
Also, the key jammed on once and flattened the battery, will the battery charge when the genny is running?

I just changed the air filter, and the oil, and the generator ran fine. On the second start up, there is a fair amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust, and a very rough idle. Any idea what the issue could be?

Read mores it could be an issue. Probably would run a good quality 95. Generally I found the Honda were over sensitive to such issues.

It depends on the load but I found 8-10 hours thrashing the thing with high loads

i need a reliable generator to run my whole van as its my only home i am disabled so need one no heaver than 30 kilos so i can move it as i move around alot ive been told to buy a honda eu30i but cant find weight can u help me also honda has a eu30i handy which would b better for my use n disabilities and can u help me i need to know the weight of the uniots
The eu30is has a dry weight of 60kg 13kg for fuel and 1kg oil brings the grand total to 74kgs! Try for the eu20i less power more reliable and cheaper and also weighs in at about 25kgs full of fluids also it's quieter
I have a EU30iu and thought it would do the job at 12.5 amp max, but my compressor which has a 7.5amp, motor won't start with this generator. I want it to work but it won't. Is there a way I can get it to fire the belt drive compressor, obsiviously the start draw is too much. If not would the EU30is with the 196cc motor do any better?
Terry, very late to the party sorry, the Motor sounds like an old one, most motors draw 6 to 10 times full load current on start up. So, at 7.5 amps Full load current, that's potentially 60 amps draw...
Read more (at 8 times FLC), so no, it will not start it. I suggest a newer motor, low current cap start/run, or a bigger generator.

Dissemble carbon and clean with carry intake cleaner replace all gaskets and you should be in business

Read moreputs will not have the same inverter, meaning that they will not communicate with each other, it may also result in damage to one of the generators, and/or risk to the operator if one overloads. We tend to recommend that you only parallel units of the same wattage.
