Don't waste your money
I had to replace my Dyson after it died after 12 years of use. I have been told by a couple of people that the Dyson brand is not what it used to be so thought I wouldn't replace it with another Dyson. So into Godfreys I go. Sadly I have bought a bit of rubbish. It is so not worth the $949.00 I paid for it. I have only used for a max of 6 times. Yesterday I noticed a piece of plastic had bent. It seemed to be so hot that I could not touch the back of it. I don't want a house fire! It is under 3years warranty. Back to Godfreys and of course it d...Read more
idn't overheat in their presence. Told point blank that I had bent the plastic. Two points spring to mind. 1. They are so dismissive and turn it straight back on to you. So I am a little concerned that the warranty won't be worth anything if their attitude to date is anything to go on.Time will tell I guess. 2. It confirms my thoughts on it as a cheap plasticky piece of rubbish. I can bend plastic! Didn't know I was that strong and I have a broken leg and all! Regret not putting a bit more thought into my purchase. I'll eat my hat if I get 12 years use out of it, like my Dyson! PS the hose is flimsy it turns on itself all the time. It has a real short cord. The filters need washing all the time. The suction is good but it is only newPurchased in November 2021 for $949.00.

Disappointed, Terrible waste of money
Regal Hoover purchased in Godfreys Adelaide. Where usually had good sales and service.
Instruction Manual in sealed bag.
Used for second time today. Told electric lead was 10m it in fact is ony 5m.
Hose kinks easily. Cleaner does not follow well on our short pile carpet.
Got stick vacuum, which can be used as cordless dust buster in the price.
Frightened to open and use.
Regal car attachments are said not fit cordless Stick Vac/dust buster.
Disappointed as purchased 3 weeks ago and feel l cannot take it back.
Purchased in March 2021 at Godfreys.

Best vacuum
This is the best vacuum I have ever purchased. It is easy to use and a breeze to empty, as well it has a long retrackable cord. The suction is very powerful and I no longer have the dogs and cat fur left behind. All the attachments have a place in a unique hanging bag.

Best vacuum ever
This is the best thing I have ever brought. The vacuum has a powerful suction that gets deep into the carpet. It also came with several attachments so i can vacuum my curtains, bookcases, lounges and even my mattresses. It works well with picking up pet fur as well. It's really easy to clean.

Sorry, looks nice but not worth it
We've had ours for 3 years and it looks all very nice and Regal but I'm so sick of cleaning the filters. We went all in and bought the whole package. I'm not happy though, it seems I am forever cleaning out the 3 filters I can get too, the fourth one at the rear does not come out and I'm sure is clogged with dust. Also, we have three long haired people in the house, it does what it says it will do and pick up all the hair but after every time around the house, I need to clear the turbo brushes of all the hair, very frustrating. The big wheels k...Read more
eep falling off while moving around the house, it's been back three times under warranty for different repairs, and needs another repair yet again. Now, the suction is so low, it hardly turns the mini turbo head. So, the $1299.00 I spent on it was a waste. In frustration, I bought a similar style of vacuum from Bunnings for $129.00. OMG, it does everything the Regal does except it works with twice the suction and half the effort. In conclusion, don't waste your money on the Regal.Similar opinion? Happy with its performance
We purchased this product after two previous Dyson Models. It is certainly as good as, if not better. The power cord is thinner but longer. It certainly picks up a lot of dirt, I need to empty during and after a house clean. Our house has a carpeted Living, Formal Dining Area. Four large bedrooms and an open TV area. I don't find a lot of use for all the attachments but on the few times I used a few they were very practical. It seems less prone to get a twist in the hose than my last Dyson. Like the Dyson, the filters are very effective, but you do need to check and clean regularly. I bought spares with my initial purchase and swap the main with a fresh one when I clean the previous. The lights are useful when cleaning under tables etc.

Great
Very happy with it would highly recommend it. Picks up all the dirt and unseen grime.
Its light weight. My daughter can use is easly and enjoys that that actual vaccum head lights up...you can buy a spare part for the side that screws on and its so you dont have to really use the baggless part of the vaccume. Definitely a plus for me

Constant blockage problem
Having paid for a whole tray of attachments I never use I find I have a vacuum cleaner that cleans well whenever it is not blocked. Unblocking the hose is a major problem. There is a bent handle end which cannot be removed because of the electrics running through it. This means you can never pass a firm rod down to drive a plug out. It is a really problem. The next blockage occurs in the jets and getting to these is a major needed a special long skinny screw driver and quite a bit of handyman skill. My conclusion is a lot of thought went into the bling like the red lights but less thought went into the practical design.

Absolutely Fantastic - Go to Godfreys at Preston
We have owned 3 Dyson's in the past and have had bad experiences with them all. Was convinced by the guys at Godfreys at Preston (427 High St, Preston VIC 3072) to try out the Hoover Regal, ended up getting a bargain deal with them for $650 plus a free Hoover Steamy Wonder Steam Mop. With a little barter, we got the price down form $899 to $650 with the free mop. My wife was so excited when she got home she vacuumed the entire house. She was absolutely blown away by how great it is and was shocked when she was sucking up so much dust, dirk and ...Read more
crap that the Dyson had missed over the past year before it blew up on us. The Hoover Regal is fantastic just as much as the guys at Godfreys, I highly recommend them. Barter with them and walk away with a great deal!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Vacuum - Touch Pricey
Great power in this cleaner...really happy with the suction. Had Miele machines before this one but wish I'd switched sooner. We have heaps of carpet in the house 5 bedrooms Lounge & Theatre room - mid pile length.
I need to clean the head constantly as it is NOT a sealed unit as I requested from the sales guy and my daughter's really long hair gets wound around the rollers and stops the head from turning then burns out the rubber drive belts so I am constantly cleaning it or getting hubby to replace the drive belts.
Noise of the machine is low.

A good general cleaner
The vacuum itself is absolutely amazing. Great suction and the powerhead gives that deep thorough clean we all love. The only downfall this cleaner has is the hose and wheels. The hose is prone to get shorts in it and that is based on the rubber around the wheels which makes it a little harder to pull behind you.

Unbelievable
I’m amazed by how good this is. Always a Miele family they no longer make a powerhead machine deal and we switched to Hoover. With so much carpet and two dogs I am so impressed. The carpet felt like it had been freshly shampooed. The amount of rubbish that came out of the carpet was frankly shocking. The unit is light to pull around and the additional hepa filter gives you great satisfaction being able to see the fruits of your labour. Filter saves on bag usage as bag only collects fine dust and hepa collects big particles. It’s early days yet but I love it

Sucks as hard as the Price Tag!!
We’ve carpet and very short tight pile rental spec carpet and this machine really sucks the dirt and rubbish from deep in the carpet. My Fiancé sheds an endless supply of 5ft blonde strands that the Regal loves to spin into yarn with its power head. You do have to remove and clean the roller and maintain the machine like it is your fiancé otherwise it’s performance will degrade faster than usual but that’s like any good tool. I paid $1200 and got a free Bissell Spot Cleaner that was selling for about $300 so I feel I got what I paid for. Steppi...Read more
ng up from an old fabric bagged red and blue thing I bought from Kmart for $89 back in the Triassic Age it really was top notch. The white LED Lights are obviously an improvement on the older models with red LEDS in the Power Head. The Accessories box opens up like a ‘Vacuumaniacs’ Treasure Trove (edit: Vacuum Nymphomaniac) all fancy and neat which makes storage a breeze, the door hanger for them is a cool idea too or was it a Vacuumaniacs Superhero Costume I cant really tell...... some want to model it and get back to me?? Hahaha no but seriously........ great machine, you just have to look after it like a princess and fingers crossed no regular trips to Godfreys yet after about 8 months. Do yourself a favour and get on down to the Warehouse that always seems to overstock itself - And grab yourself a Hoover Regal!!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Not worth the money for the mess
So I have had this vacuum for a year, and only because we have an air compressor at home (not everyone is fortunate to have one) ((and lucky the salesman said I could use one on it)) I have been able to clean it and unblock it when needed. It does do a great job on pet hair and fine dust in carpets, but the turbo head doesn't fair very well on hard floors and to use the hard floor attachment the suction just isn't there.
Now, onto the attachments! If you should happen to knock your wall or cornice, they leave a red mark which is difficult ...Read more

Value for money
Godfreys periodically have a big bargain on Hoovers. I purchased this vacuum cleaner in one of those bargains. The power of suction is really strong. I have not used a compatible version of Dysons, but felt like I do not need to try Dyson, paying a couple of hundreds more. This vacuum cleaner does its job excellently. Very satisfied. Only thing is with the power code, which does not seem to be long enough.

The best vacuum cleaner I've owned
I bought the Hoover Regal 9001PH bagged model. I am amazed with the box of equipment that comes with it and now I can vacuum clean places I never have been able to. To days before I got the new Hoover, I vacuum cleaned our carpet, so I didn't' expect to see such an amazing result. I have the Hoover Diverter Bag And Filter Saver, so I can can see how much there was in the carpet. I had to empty it twice for a little carpet 1.60mx2m. The powerhead it comes with is for carpets and wau.... What a cleaning experience. It just glides across my carpets and really gives it a deep clean. The LED lights on the powerhead helps as well.
Suddenly vacuum cleaning is fun.

Light and powerful
I have used quite a few vacuum cleaner from commercial to domestic one, when I first purchase my home in 2008, I use Samsung and after a house mate try it, he said it is not good, he brought his Wertheim with the powerhead in, straight away you can see the difference. I have used that for 8 years and very happy with the result, only problem is it is quite heavy, when I go to Godfreys to buy a new one because my old one is broken, they said Wertheim sale the powerhead license to Hoover... whatever, get this top of the line, bring home and try st...Read more
raight away, straight away you can see the dirt comes up from the carpet, I'm happy because that is what I expect, now the new Hoover is lighter and easier to maneuver, not that noisy like the old Wertheim, comes with all kind of head that I don't think I have time to use all of them, but very happy with the result. The trick of cleaning the carpet is what? Remember in the old days the people have to hang the carpet up and beat it or shake it, hit it with a stick, that is exactly what happen in here, so you need a powerhead, not a turbo head. Powerhead is the one with the power and it vibrates to shake all of the dirt out, turbo head is the one runs when there is a suction cause it to turn around, not enough power in my opinion.Similar opinion? Thank goodness for 3 year warrenty
I went to Godfrey's wanting an excellent vacuum, I spoke to the assistant and explained that I was willing to spend good money on an excellent vacuum that would keep its suction even in 8 or 10 years time, something that was easy to maneuver and lightweight. I have a mix of carpet and tiles, so I wanted a vacuum that was excellent for both areas
The assistant showed me the HOOVER ALLERGY POWER HEAD BAGLESS VACUUM and he kept talking about pet hair, well I do not have pets, he also showed me the HOOVER REGAL PREMIUM BAGLESS VACUUM CLEANER, he e...Read more

Dont bother with it
My partner and I went shopping for a vacuum and decided to go with the top of the range Regal Premium, it came with plenty of different attachments and seemed amazing.
After paying $1399 for it we were then told that they didn't have any and had to give me the floor model, I did not get offered any discount for taking the display model.
we had the vacuum for about 4 months and the power head started cutting in and out, we took the head and hose in and it was sent off and we were with out a vacuum for about 2 weeks.
It worked perfectly fi...Read more

Great hoover
I went into godfreys not knowing what I want and ended up spending $1100 and what a great decision. This vac is superior, it leaves the lines on carpet, due to the suck being so strong, comes with a zillion attachments and I absolutely love it. They also give you yearly services at no,cost with this vac! Great value for money

I have a Regal and twice the lights on the power head have failed. Once after a month and when replaced, after two weeks. The cleaner has not been 'abused' in any way infact if anything it is treated with loving care as the cost was great. has anyone else had a similar problem?

Yes the vacuum is a waste of money. The vacuum does not work. When we brought the vacuum we were advised it was a fantastic, but the suction is appalling, it does nor pick up anything on wooden floors and just shoots it out. If you move from wooden floor to carpet the brush head clogs up and has to be cleaned . A terrible piece of equipment, just a waste of money.
Thank you, Jack. for your comments. However I am still at loss to find out if anyone has had the same problems as I have had with the lights. Apart from the lights I find this cleaner very, very good. I have 6 cats and a parrot that make their share of the cleaning needed.
