average at best
This stick vac worked really well for the first couple of months even on long dog and cat hair! - although there are clogging issues at times due to the small intake.
We had it repaired once during warranty as the power button was sticking.
Occasionally have had issues with the charging plate - needs cleaning to ensure a good contact.
now what lets it down however is wouldn't you know once outside of warranty battery rapidly dies.
we can now get less than 3 minutes out of the vac before it dies.
replacement batteries are not available and you must buy the entire dust buster unit instead.
i'd say save your money and buy a Dyson.. sad really i have always used the hoover brand.
Purchased at Godfreys Physical Stores for $250.00.

Don't buy it
As with many reviews below, poor design lets the product down. Clogs easily and is difficult to get the head off. Average suction, on both carpet and tiles. The battery stopped working not long after it was out of warranty.

Poor quality product
Paid $199. Godfreys praised it extravagantly. Battery failed in less than two years. Suction performance poor on most surfaces so it was rarely used. We went back to our old handheld vac.

Waste of Money
I do not recommend buying this product at all. This vacuum lasted us approximately 4 months before it completely lost its suction. We were always vigilant in emptying the Hoover every time it filled, however, this didn’t seem to stop it from dying. We paid a fair amount of money for a highly disappointing product. We have now purchased a Dyson cordless vacuum which we are absolutely loving, the quality is so much better than Hoover.
Purchased in January 2021 at Godfrey’s Tamworth for $180.00.

Don't waste your money
Poorly designed. There is a very small suction hole unlike the more expensive models with a wider spinning head. Can't handle concrete and wooden floors as well as some rugs.
Purchased in June 2021 at Godfreys for $199.00.

Poor Performance and Unrealiable
I purchased this product with high confidence from Godfreys - They raved about how good it was and its the ultimate cordless vacuum and its very close to the Dyson with 1/2 the price tag. We decided to purchase it. It was working fine in the tiled areas, (though not good on carpet), once it hit 12 months and 1 week, it started to stop after 1 minute - No matter how much we charged it. I took it back and they said "It is over the 1 year warranty and this is expected for a cordless Vacuum - They are all the same,. even the Dyson's" - I wasnt to h...Read more
appy as its not a $99 Vac, it was $299. I explained that it needs to be fixed, they tried to offload another one to me - Which was a joke. They decided to repair it with chnaging the battery - which costs $120. However they did change it in good faith. Now I am going through it again, same problem, though it s only 6 months since it was changed. To be honest, if its that expensive, then it should be coming with a better warranty or at least a replacement warranty on the battery, if its a known issue. I wouldn't buy one again and dont encourage anyone to do so either. A short life for an expensive product. It seems a lot of people have expericenced the same issue, reading through the reviews. I will be taking it back today to seek compensantion for another product.Purchased in October 2021.

Useless on timber floors
Very disappointed with this "vacuum". It just pushes dirt, chips, etc around on timber floor. Works better on carpet but only average. It's only saving grace is the detachble part which is handy on leather sofa and in car.

Poorly designed.
Bought from Godfrey's in Nov 2018 and having used it several times since on our mainly woollen carpet floors have found it doesn't pick up the fluff etc at all well due to a restricted passage between the head and storage area. This design causes blockages very easily and therefore suction is lost. Also having to remove the quite small dirt container often is a nuisance. Cannot recommend this unit and would rate it lower if possible.
Purchased in November 2021.

Excellent unit until its NOT(after 1 year 3months)
Absoult mint vacuum(wait for it), easy and fun to use, quick and easy to charge. Robust, solid and powerful enough unit that tackles most jobs(good luck vacuuming up small pebble like stones and small nails and the like but.).
Dust bin fills up quick which requires a seemingly easy and trouble free clean, one push button release, a easy pull to remove the main filter, a couple twists and taps on the edge of the rubbish bin and its clean enough to quickly reverse the process and get back to bussiness; I'd recommend once finished with the vacuu...Read more

Waste of money
Don’t be fooled by the salesperson on this product. Good to zip around the house with, but found that items were spitting out from the head instead of being sucked up, resulting in going over the same spot 100 times. Constantly need to clean the head and rollers to get minimal performance out of it. Spend a bit more money and buy something that performs better.

Charging issues
I love this machine! I find it does a brilliant job picking up my dog's thick long hairs off the wooden floors and works well to clean mats too... but the reason for my low rating is:
We purchased our machine in Dec 2016, worked great for a few months and then started losing suction, then the on/off switch at the top of the stick didn't work. It went in for repair and that only solved the switch problem, still lack of power and then it eventually wouldn't charge.
It went in for repair with Godfrey's again and when we went to pick up we di...Read more

this is so light weight and excellent for me to use as im in a wheelchair, the swivel head is a great idea. love the idea i can take off the handheld piece for lounges. it is wonderful for carpet and vinyl. i dont like the idea of having to empty it so often

DONT BOTHER
Purchased this three weeks ago, pathetic performance, suction is very poor, on the other hand if want a cleaner that picks up dirt and deposits it a few feet further on, this product excels at that.
I have a combination of carpet and tiles, it is equally bad on both surfaces

Pretty reliable, compact unit for small areas
We bought this for a small apartment. The floor is a mix of carpet and vinyl and we keep it pretty clean, so we've never really put the vacuum cleaner through its paces. It does a good job of picking up most dust and dirt and the groove in the rotor at the bottom makes it easy to cut loose the hair that always gets stuck.
The dust catching container fills up pretty fast and needs to be emptied frequently but being a bagless vacuum it doesn't cost anything, its just a pain.

Going well...but had a hiccup.
Purchased this vacuum early 2017 and was very happy with its performance until recently.
Two days after doing my initial positive review, the vacuum suddenly stopped charging.
We took it to Godfreys where they plugged the stick unit into their charger and it seemed to charge up. We assumed, based on that, that our charger needed replacing; it was sent away for repair. Ten days later we picked the vacuum up and were told that the handheld vac (which housed the battery) had needed to be replaced completely.
Since getting the vac back we've no...Read more

Durability issue
Purchased in may 2017.
Found it easier to sweep and mop hard floors but that is fine I mostly wanted something to be able to quickly do our 3 (tiny) bedrooms as was taking longer to keep plugging in the vacuum cleaner than actually doing the job....
Initially very pleased with performance. Light and easy to use and did a good job for the price.
However after 6-7mo it just wasn't sucking up as well and I had to start going over same place multiple times. I gave it a good clean and even changed the filters thinking that might be an issue. It ...Read more

Hoover Ultra Performer ZL1306
Rubbish, Purchased this stick vacuum from Godfreys as they gave it a good wrap and had high 22.2v power. 1 year and 2 months later and the vacuum is dead. I took it back to Godfreys to check and they said the "motor head" has died and will cost $150 to repair. Not worth it when we paid $200 for it initially. I asked if there was a trade in option and they offered me $10. BTW most stick vacuums have a two year warranty where as this Hover only has 1 year.
Never buy this model!!
Cheers...

Good quality and performs well
I bought this stick vacuum a few months ago as I got tired of stepping on crumbs in the kitchen ;) As a comparison I've had a number of stick vacs in the past, including Electrolux, and some generic store brand - neither could hold a candle to this Hoover.
It has to do it's work on thick carpet, lino, and a rug, all of which pick up cat hair, dry cat food, dirt and leaves, and everyday kitchen mess like breadcrumbs and escapee cornflakes! So far it has exceeded my expectations. It has good strong suction and two modes of suction as well whic...Read more
h is handy when vacuuming the rug I switch to the lower setting. The bag can hold a fair bit and it's easy to empty. The vacuum itself is a little heavier than I expected but it's good too because it means it really gets into the carpet. It seems to be made from good quality parts as well, it looks and feels expensive, it wasn't a cheap purchase and I can see why. The only tiny issue I have with it is the charger can be a little tricky to house the vacuum into until you get used to how it works, it's a little bit un-intuitive, but that is a very minor complaint. Overall I love this vacuum and it does a great job of keeping the house tidy in between regular vacuums.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great little stick vac
This is a great little stick vac which we use to quickly finish up after the robo vacuum has done its thing. Its light and easy to use and tucks away while charging. Suction is good although I only have hard floors so this is rarely an issue for me. I like its modern look and that I don't have to take out the full vacuum to clean up broken glass etc. Hoover has never disappointed me and I have a few of their products that have always performed outside of expectations!

Hi TJ G.,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.
As the batteries are soldered into the handvac they are not sold separately, due to this it is more economical to have it sold as part of the handvac assembly.... Read more
