Great convertible laptop but screen glass can break easily
I bought this after many positive reviews around great look and performance. I've had it for around 10 months now and the glass at top has started cracking despite not receiving any impact. For a convertible it should have stronger glass as the screen needs to be usable.
Great performance, keyboard and everything else though

Good Laptop, STUPID TOUCH PAD, horrid touch pad.
This laptop is really good, well built and fast (i7 model) but what the heck was HP thinking when they designed that huge as touch pad (size of a I Phone 6). This touch pad is the only thing wrong with this laptop but mate TOUCH PAD SUCKS!! THE RIGHT CLICK IS SO FAR AWAY!! But every time you go type normally you just seem to hit it and messes up your document. I couldn't even write this review without clicking with my palm on some random site. Again, THE TOUCH PAD IS THE MOST STUPID SIZE IMAGINABLE HP HAS LOST ITS BRAINS WHEN THEY DESIGNED THAT...Read more
TOUCH PAD. DON'T BUY IF YOU WANT TO TYPE WITH OUT SMASHING THE SCREEN :) Though the touch pad is very responsive but way to big. The only other problem i have with it is the fan can sometimes come on when your typing on a sticky note, other than that it is quite a nice laptop. But seriously, touch pad sucks....a lot.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

So far it's just good but room for improvements
I have been using this laptop with my wife from the start of this year and it is good. I have been using it close to 99% as a laptop rather than as a tablet or ever utilizing it's touch screen. This is purely because of how poor the touch capabilities react. Naturally scrolling can trigger a tap which makes browsing or working on anything just not pleasant. Flipping it on it's keyboard faced downwards also feels slightly awkward but it can hold itself up if you are watching a movie. Other that that nuance - it's pretty good and get's the job done.

Good overall
Been using the HP Spectre x360 for the last couple of months and it leaves a lot to be desired. Performance is on par with most ultrabooks and its slim bezels (ie. Small dimensions) is very convenient when carrying around in a backpack. Battery easily lasts for a full day without needing a recharge.

Well built workhorse, though the it's not built with other than use with kid gloves...
I've been very happy with my HP Spectre X360 since we bought it last year. The specs are perfect, it boots up quickly and doesn't overheat like traditional laptops can do. My only gripe is that the aluminium casing surface marks very easy, and the screen now has some scratches on it, even though I am meticulously careful with it. The screen obviously isn't made from 'Gorilla Glass' or any other tough glass that's used on smartphones, so I'm rather disappointed with it in that respect

was going okay
Purchased the spectre and it did everything that it said it would do. Love the touch screen as very hard to go back to a normal screen. Resolution is great and very clear. Just after a year just past warranty it packed up. Had to have it sent to a service centre that was offshore. Had issues with the courier company but that is another issue. Got the laptop back and it is still not working as it was. Now it has completely shutdown and can not even start it up. Great laptop but now have my reservations.

Lives up to the hype
This computer does everything I need it to do. It is zippy with quick start up and so light to carry. The only down side is the windows operating system that I am not a fan of. This however has nothing to do with the performance and features of this unit. The screen is clear and responsive. Very happy.

Fancy but not perfect
As with the other reviewer I find this machine to run very fast and is very quiet with ssd. Very impressive inside. Screen is also excellent and the machine is a good size. I also agree however that the sharp edged design makes it a bit less ergonomic. I also find a little awkward to open but find the keyboard ok if not brilliant.
Battery lasts much longer than any other laptop that I have owned.
I have had this a year now and overall I would say that this is an excellent touchscreen laptop but a bit too fancy pants in the design.

Love hate relationship, so far...
The Spectre 4111tu is a mixed bag that will please and annoy in so many ways.
First up, the screen is the best I have ever used with excellent viewing angles, colour and touch responsiveness.
The weight is a really nice change from a heavy 15.6 inch with an extended battery and the battery life is very good.
The overall speed of the laptop with Windows 10 is excellent with really fast boot times
BUT, there are some negative points;
- the hinges are a little on the soft side and when it is open, the screen can move when you don't intend i...Read more
