I have owned this mower for 2 months now and i think it is the best mower i have owned, i had a John deere L100 before i purchased this machine and i spent most of it's time in the dealership. the Husqy gives a very good ride and great steering, i have not had a single problem. Thanks Husqvarna
Seems to be a common problem with this batch of mowers. Similar experience; less than three hours easy mowing and some belt squeal [common, I am told ] then there was a metallic rumble so shut down and called dealer to take the thing away [two weeks gone now].
Told yesterday we are amongst a number waiting for a new mandrel [or spindle] as the deck belt is set too tight from the factory. I understand there is now a bulletin telling dealers to reset belt tension at pre delivery.
Not happy as I need to keep on top of the lawns with the fire sea...
so it came home late yesterday; with the replacement spindle after husquana first supplied another copy of the original; defective part [excuse given for the delay].
Now to wait for the grass to dry out to see it it really is the words best mower!
-+ok, now at 18 hours; touch wood no furthur problem, and no apology from the manufacturer either.
It is a nice machine to use; but I have little confidence as to longevity

So Husqvarna have just released new model mowers in Australia. And One of the big reasons I bought this mower is because it's got a five year warranty. If things keep going the way they are my mower will spend a lot of those five years at the dealer.
I drove the mower off the trailer once I got it home and turned it off to fill with fuel. After filling it with fuel it wouldn't restart. Spoke to the dealer and he said it's probably flooded. He said let it sit for 20 minutes and then try again. I let it sit for 20 minutes. Wouldn't start. Let it...
Ok so here is a bit of an update. Firstly I'll say that I think my dealer has been good and done the best he can. Although I'm not convinced I'm not being told the odd white lie. (During my shopping p...
Read morerocess he told me that he does a thorough pre-check on the mower before he sells it and that not all dealers will do this. I cross-shopped at another Husky dealer and he said ALL Husky dealers are required to do this as part of being a licenced Husky dealer). The mower spent two weeks at the dealer getting its issues sorted out (mostly). The dealer said that my quill/spindle should have had ten bearings but only had four and there was no grease on the bearings where there should have been. Got told it came from the factory like that and that I was one of an unlucky couple to have this issue in Australia (no way of knowing that's true).Working all good now. Haven't used other ride-ons but it seems like a good machine now that the teething problems are sorted

Just spoke with technical chap at Husqvarna on the central coast as still no result from the dealer; all I got was confirmation of the spindle /bearing problem.
I did not tell you that when it was de...
