Best bang for buck on the road!
Before test driving I was hooked on the Mazda CX-5. We needed to upgrade for our new family member. The Hyundai brand didn't even register in my top 5. But after test driving the 2015 Tucson Active X I was convinced & hooked!
For a start the car looks awesome inside & out. Its pretty much a 5 seater Santa-Fe. Its styling gives it an on road wow factor which stands out from the crowd. Inside its very comfortable with everything you would find within the competition cars with leather seats as a bonus. It has all the fruit when it comes to in ...Read more
car controls and the A/C works excellent for Australian conditions. Driving is a dream. Very quiet on the road and handles very well in the dry & wet. Very fuel efficient and less scheduled servicing required compared to other manufactures, Did I mention the 5 year warranty! Our car has done under 5k Km's but we are very happy with it to date. The features you get in this car are first class and match that of other makes. I believe its the best value for money SUV you will find (features vs $$) So why only 4 star rating? For some reason the Australian right hand drive model only received a 4 star ANCAP rating. I don't find the car unsafe in any shape or form as it has all the safety features of the competition.1 comment

Great car but a few niggles spoil the party.
I have an Active X with 5000k's on the clock. It drives very well and the steering, suspension and cabin noise are superb. The brakes are average and the fuel consumption is around 9L/100kms which is worse than my 2013 2wd Mitsubishi Outlander which averaged 7.5l/100kms in the exact same driving conditions. The Tucson has a nice traditional auto and it drives way better than the current crop of CVT SUVs. The multi function trip computer average fuel consumption is about 20% out and the bluetooth is so poor its unusable. I have contacted Hyundai...Read more
and they said a fix is on the way (as of late December 2015). The Tucson is not as roomy inside as the CRV, Rav4 or Outlander. All of the above are taller and have more interior space. The new Tucson has adopted styling cues from the Range Rover Evoque and the cabin feels wider and lower. When my 10 year old daughter sits behind me I have to move the seat forward, something i didn't have to do in the Outlander or my wife 2014 Rav4. The biggest disappointment is the stereo. I mentioned the poor bluetooth performance earlier but overall the stereo is a dud. The sound quality is superb but my cars unit shuts down intermittently and guess what? when I take it to a dealer I get told they could find a problem. Worse still is the safety warning screen that appears every time you get in the car. You have to manually accept the warning by touching the screen. Most new cars have similar warnings but the disappear after a few seconds. The Tucson doesn't and it locks the functionality of the stereo until you touch the screen. Perversely you often have to take your eyes off the road to accept the caution, therefore totally compromising the road safety message. If Hyundai can sort my dodgy stereo then I will be a lot happier with the vehicle.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great small SUV
Absolutely brilliant car. Noise is low, handling and comfort are great. Inside and outside looks great and the infotainment is really good. The engine has enough go if you plant the foot at times. Fuel economy seems to be as quoted so far. Leather seats in a low model is nice, plenty of room for rear seat passengers and in the boot. Seems to be a step up from the Mazda cx5 in almost all areas and comes with a 5 year warranty plus 3. The only downsides are that the phone microphone is a bit far away and volume at the other end can be quiet. Ther...Read more
e is an issue with the drivers footwell which means the car isn't 5 stars yet.. Should be fixed soon on new cars. Google auto software isn't available yet and only available on the base models... ??? Overall I loved it so much I will be getting my wife a diesel elite.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Brilliant
New 2015/16 Tucson a bloody good vehicle.
The smoothness on the roads and handling is excellent. Cabin space and cabin noise is wonderful. Only let down is Apple play software download is still yet to be available.
7.8L/100 is about right.
Service costs are low and so far nothing has gone wrong.

Update after 6,000km. This vehicle has no flaws at all. Built well. The fuel seems a little higher now; after a few tanks and the guage has settled, perhaps 8.5L/100.
Interior remains new and durab... Read more
Still no Apple Play!
Apple play is here and installed. Works nice with Siri,
Clearer voice calls and the start up warning now goes off automatically after 5 seconds.
Apps are great too.
