Mine arrived within the three weeks as stated. However, it took awhile for a friend (which I recommended, recently) to receive hers. Perhaps, six to eight weeks. It appears that they have difficulty sourcing the model. Best if you get in touch with supplier.

Yes you need to contact import appliances. Mine came 3 weeks

Hi there,

Most of the time it takes between 1 - 4 weeks to source products from the manufacturer. Once they arrive in stock at our warehouse in Belgium we prepare them for shipping and express shipping to Hong Kong only takes a few days (3-4).
The products for sale on our website are the same or very similar to the models you'll find in your local stores.
But please don't hesitate to contact me ([email protected]) if you would like more info or have any further questions on specific models.

Hi Jean,

Thank you for your interest in our Neff products.

For repairs that are not warranty related or for repairs after the warranty period, you can just contact your local service agent.
All appliances sold on our website are very similar to the appliances sold local, so there shouldn't be any issues.
If you can e-mail me your full address then I can look up the closest Neff repair agent for you.

Please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail ([email protected]) if you would have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Micha

If anything needs repairing, etc. would Bosch service engineer in UK be contracted to carry out work? Are there any other import charges to pay other then what is mentioned on your website? Are gas hobs compatible with the UK?

We are considering buying a NEFF induction stovetop plus oven from Importappliances, and would be interested to hear from others about their experience of getting a local electrician to connect them. Any problems or issues? Thanks for the feedback.

1 answer
Jason
Jason

The only issue (apart from ensuring the physical dimensions fit the space, clearance below the cook top and bench type as normal) is that induction cook tops can require a higher capacity circuit to operate than may be there with your standard cook top. This may mean an upgraded circuit capacity could be required, which could be a simple thing or a very difficult thing depending upon the wiring in your kitchen. I recommend checking with your electrician before you buy the unit to ensure all is OK with the circuit to avoid any potential nasty surprise of that type.

Hi. Some of your products, ie: Siemens kitchen appliances have 5 year warranties when purchased in Australia. Is the two year warranty generic "EU" or a genuine manufactures coverage?

2yr manufacturer's warranty for the IA purchased products. Do the price comparison and you'll see that warranty differences are a red herring. I could have bought two of everything from IA for the price of one bought in Australia. Local suppliers have extended their warranty since the entry of grey imports as an attempt to protect their market share. You decide.

ImportAppliances
First L.ImportAppliances

Hi Scotty,

Thank you for your question.

ImportAppliances is a Belgian company, we're selling appliances direct form the European manufacturers.

Most manufactures (ie Siemens) in Europe only offer 2 years of manufacturer's warranty.
They do sell an extended warranty plan, but that's only available for customers within Europe.

All appliances sold on our website are very high quality though, so the chance that you would ever need the 2 (or 5) year warranty is very small.
For more information about our warranty please check the website: http://www.importappliances.com.au/warranty/

Please let me know if you have any further questions, you can contact me on [email protected]

Hi Liz,

Thank you for your questions.
I had a look but couldn't find a user manual for this dishwasher (we never sold this model), but I would recommend to contact AEG Australia (http://www.aegaustralia.com.au/Support/), they should be able to email you a user manual.

Why do you not have a registered business name or Australian company? You should have a registered BN to do business in Australia. Even your previous trademark application has lapsed.

Hi there,

ImportAppliances is Belgian company and ships appliances directly from Europe to customers around the world (see our website: You can compare us to most other webshops based overseas which ship to Australia. The main difference is that, unlike other webshops, ImportAppliances offers free shipping and pays for any Aussie import taxes (http://www.importappliances.com.au/import_taxes/).

Please get in touch via e-mail, phone or chat if you have any further questions or concerns.

You would need to contact Import Appliances direct to answer your questions. Regarding the shipping, the price quoted on the website includes shipping and, I think it specifies anywhere in Australia. The warranty appears pretty much on a par with anything purchased locally but you can always ask a question by contacting them on their website http://www.importappliances.com.au/ You will receive an answer very quickly.

These questions should be directed to the seller of the appliances for warranties and transport costs.

The address on the accompanying invoices had an address in Belgium but, as you can see from the Import Appliances website, the importer is based in Australia. I suggest that, if you are concerned, you make an enquiry on the website, they are very prompt in replying.

Thanks for your question.

ImportAppliances is a Belgian company, if you're buying appliances on our website, you personally import them into Australia.

For personal imports there is no need for Australian certification. These certificates are only required for goods which are offered for resale in Australia.

ImportAppliances guarantees that all products sold on our website are safe (all appliances have a European CE-mark) and can be used in Australia.
All electrical appliances are compliant with the Australian voltage and frequency. Just mind that electrical appliances need to be hooked up by a licensed electrician, as they don't have a power plug.

If purchasing a product for private use, it can be purchased from overseas. If purchasing for on-selling or for a company to be used in the business, it must be purchased in Australia. Check with the Workplace Health and Safety office in your state for a ruling if you need more information. We were told in Queensland it wasn't illegal to purchase from overseas for private use, however they did recommend purchasing in Australia. We checked with our electrician that he was happy to install before going ahead with the overseas purchase. The price difference made the decision to purchase from overseas an easy one.
