Hi just wondering how my tap on the front of my expanda works please I have the water mains connected but when I turn the tap on no water comes out please help.

Hi Sam,
I have a tap on the draw bar of mine and it runs from mains. Was it installed from new ? Or previous owner set it up ? You might need to trace the line back to see where it goes to. It possibly could be connected to your water tank under your jayco. Have you filled the tank and tried to turn the tap on ?
Cheers
Dan
It is probably just typical unreliability, pretty sure it should just come out when you turn it on
Thanks guys after turning tap on and waiting a couple of minutes it worked think I was a little inpatient

We have a 2012 Jayco Expanda 17.56 we are wanting to get Storm Covers for each end. We have privacy screens but wanting the storm covers so it protects the beds etc. I am having trouble finding some to purchase as our local jayco business says they only have them for 2016 models and upwards.
Any suggestions of where I can purchase them from or know a pattern/design where I can get some made. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Lyndal

I have a 2008 Jayco Expanda 16.49-1 and it does not have a battery pack installed. I require information on what I need to do to install a battery and charger for this model? I will attempt the install myself. I had a look at the fuse box and transformer under the seat near the air con compressor and there is not much to see, just a cluster of various electrical cables in conduit running into the back of the box and one 240 cable coming from the box to a power outlet nearby. Where do I start?

The jayco box is a charger and 12v supply . Connect your battery to the pos and neg terminals at the back of the box and you will have charge and 12v supply.
An isolator switch of the pos batt terminal will be required so that you can have 240 running without overcharging the batt.
Hope this helps.
Hello Larry, thanks for your reply. Does fitting an isolator switch mean every time 240v is running I should turn the isolator switch off? I thought the Jayco charger which I believe charges at around 10amps would have reduced it's charging rate when the battery is fully charged, I also thought it would be necessary when running on 240 to leave the isolator switch on so the battery can actually receive a charge, isn't this how the battery will be charged anyway?
