It’ll take you places you never thought you’d go!
Cons: it gets uncomfortable on long trips.
Pros: bulletproof off-road ability, retro looks, it’ll take you places you’ve never been before.
I’ve had mine three years and no problems at all. The only problem is deciding where to go next!
Purchased in June 2021 at Jeep Dealers.

230k on the clock and still going strong
I use this car every day and goes off road at least one weekend a month. I haven't modified the engine in any way. The only issue I have had in 230k kms has been the 4wd transfer linkage and the plastic bushes. Only things I have changed on the car have been belts, oil, air filter. Only mods are a 2imch lift and bigger tyres. Most reliable car I have owned.
I don't take my car to the dealership to be serviced tho, since its double the price of every where else and they never seem to have parts.
Purchased in March 2021 for $43,000.00.

Was ok when standard
The car was ok when it was standard but not any more, I put in the most highly rated spring coils with Rancho shocks and it rode like a brick. The 8 ply all terrain light truck tyres did play a role however even with passenger tyres it was still bad
The take away from this message is i don't recommend this as a daily driver. Even when it is stock based on my experience. Especially if you have back pain. Will either buy an fj cruiser again or a prado 150.
I had a 2014 wrangler unlimited sport 4 door petrol, for an everyday car stick to independent suspension and not a live axle
Purchased in June 2021.

Absolutely love this beast
Nice smooth drive with a 6 speed manual that keepsvthe revs down. Got the 70 year anniversary model with leather interior and it looks Mikky Mouse. Nice high ride, great flares and a pretty ballsy v6. Black on Black, all the fruit. Gunna try 4wd this weekend Wonnerup Beach. Giddiup.

Problems that can leave you stuck up the creek without a paddle
Overall its been a good car but it has had a couple of major issues though. One being the control track light and ABS light constantly on and putting the engine into limp mode. All this while travelling out west, well away from any sort of mechanical service. Turned out to be faulty crank angle sensor wires. This was fixed under warranty after finally making it home travelling 3500km in limp mode. Now, just out of warranty it has sprung an oil leak. Turns out to be a cracked oil cooler housing. Looking online it is a common problem. Not...Read more
only in Australia but in the US. but sorry sir, that will be $2,000.00 bucks to fix. Hang on, its a known common problem, why isn't it covered even though its out of warranty. Not to mention it will take up to 2 weeks since as usual, Jeep don't have parts. I guess I will have to walk everywhere. i would never consider another petrol powered jeep. Perhaps a diesel, but considering the 2 problems I have had are both issues that could leave you well stranded or with a completely dead and damaged engine if you are travelling i don't think I would. After all, it is Australia and outback there isn't a service station or town every 20 or 30km. I mean, I never had another 4wd or car that had faulty crank sensors or cracked an oil cooler under 4 years old. Back to Nissan or Toyota for me when I get my next car i think.Similar opinion? Jeep Wrangler. Awesome
5 out of 5, reviewed on Sep 09, 2014
It is the best feeling to own a Jeep Wrangler, I purchased A Gecko coloured Wrangler 4 door, one of the last sent to Australia in that colour. This colour has turned a lot of heads and had a lot of comments and strange looks. The jeep boasts a powerful engine which is responsive when needed. Off road performance was very surprising being very capable at getting up and down mountain trails. If you want a fun drive then ...Read more

Well put together and fun to drive. Plenty of options to choose from
I like the JK 2013. Fun to derive. Feels sturdy and great off-roader.
Like the fold-able top. Not particularly easy to fold/unfold but looks and feels great when open.
When wet need to be more careful as it tends to slip a bit when accelerate. Put new tires last month and feels better.
Love it. Especially if you go offroading
My one is diesel and it is even better.

It's a tank but I do miss some luxuries
Performance is great although it doesn't like rain. When I go to turn on a wet surface it pulls as if it wants to go straight.
Interior- great. Could do with a bit more storage eg. Some drawers under the seats or side doors. Even cup holders are minimal.
It's definitely built tough. Feels sturdy and well put together. Running costs are on the high side but that's what you would expect from a car of this size with that sort of power.
The handsfree makes a bit of a weird noises during calls but the rest is great.

Don't buy a Jeep!
I'd like to thank Chrysler and their trained mechanics at Know Chrysler in Knox VIC and also Northern Motor Group in Bundoora VIC - you have no clue how to fix your own vehicles!!!
I was charged over $1000 to replace a power steering hose - and had to wait 12 days as apparently Chrysler discontinued support for my vehicles engine and power steering system?!! Knox Chrysler order new parts twice and they didn't fit my vehicle, then had to wait in Chrysler Engineers from the US to tell them how to fix it. I'm not a license mechanic but maybe ...Read more
you should have tried a hydraulic hose shop down they street?! And to Northern Motor Group - you charged me hundreds to fix my check engine light - which turned out to be an electronic fault in the turbo actuator - you said it was all fixed, then when the customer service representative drove it out of the service bay, the CEL came back on and the problem was the same as when I dropped it off a week earlier. Today you replaced to whole turbo for thousands of dollars, when I picked the vehicle up it was perfect - for less then 20 kilometres - when the CEL cam backlights on and the vehicle lost all power and went back to the same condition is was when I dropped it off to you (the second time) two days earlier. As an aside - these aren't minor or the only problems I had - on purchasing the jeep with a Mopar lift installed by Werribee Chrysler - the steering bangs and knocks. Northern Motor Group determined it was the "aftermarket" lift kit that was hitting the frame of the vehicle??!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

09 diesel 4 Dr
Had for two years and done 50km in it, haven't had one thing happen yet, drove it after xmas to Flinders across to leigh creek and up onadatta track past lake ayer to coober pedy all off road and to uluru, then off road again through tribal lands to Alice springs, used bitumen back to adelaide . After 5000km while towing a caravan the whole trip I can't fault the turbo diesel, love this bloody car, it ain't a super model in looks but once you get one there is no other car that catches your eye. Except a wrangler with a chick driving.

Fun to drive, but crap customer service
Bought our Jeep new at Tynan in Miranda, NSW. Did everything to sell us the car, but customer service has been very disappointing.
We love the car, despite having to replace four door & bonnet hinges due to rust and the poor customer service. Off road the car is fabulous, while on road handles very well. The only downside is the thirst for petrol, very hungry.

Wait till you have it for a while. It will fall apart
An excellent 4WD and also very good at towing the off road camper trailer. However, mine is a 2009 and it leaks, I've replaced door seals already, mechanically I have had to replace switches and parts that you would not expect for a new-ish car. It's bouncy and rough but good fun, just don't expect it to be hassle free. Parts are very expensive including tyres, battery and just about anything else with a Jeep badge.

Best purchase ive ever made!!
Purchased my Jeep Wrangler 1 year ago and I have only had 1 problem with it Leaky Roof which Jeep did replace the seals and it hasnt leaked since. Leaking roof wasnt too much of a concern as you can take the carpet out! So no big deal! Fantastic in the way of having a soft top roof which is Amazing and its so easy to use! I have upgraded the suspension to flexy coils! Great for towing! Also upgraded to new HID headlights as the standard lights where pretty dull. I love being able to do so many modifications to it! Making it unique to any other car... I could talk about my Jeep all day im so in love!

Loved it - surprised by handling, quiet and fun
Rented one in Canada, as you do, and drove around for a week on the Banff National Park. Up and down the Rockies on the Icefields Parkway, down through the Kicking Horse Pass and some off the turf tracks. Needed to go slower off the turf. It was a 6 cylinder petrol 4 door. 11 L/100Km. Plenty of power. Enjoyed the sound system and the huge selection of stations on the Jeep entertainment system.
Felt safe with the roll bar. 4 adults and luggage a breeze. Overall it was fun and I was surprised how well it handled around really windy roads ...Read more

Simple.....don't get 1!!
Customer service terrible. Constantly something wrong with it. Zero spare parts in the country apparently. Called advising of issue & exact part required, booked in to repair 1st available day which was 10days (surprisingly this was not the shock considering how often mines in for repair!!) shock came when they called to tell me what part they needed & it wasn't available for 2months! I told them what part to order when I booked it in!?!? Cost of repairs higher than any previous car I've owned. Wiring lume short, $1500 to trace & repair! What's...Read more
wrong with Pull out old 1, put new $25 lume in. Safe mode for simple issues that not effecting driving is really helpful when miles from anywhere!! Save your sanity & get a second hand land cruiser (or if a convertible is what you want, get a wheel barrow, far more useful!!)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Overheating issues
I have had overheating problems since new on any warm day going up any incline. Dealer refused to do anything about it. It caused 2 timing belt failures = 2 top end rebuilds taking 3 months to get basic parts. Had to fight to get it fixed both times and my Jeep had a full Jeep Dealer service history. I love my Jeep (when working) but don't trust it. I would not take it on a long trip far from a mechanic. I carry lots of spares since parts are seldom available in Australia and can take months to get. Jeep does not seem serious about customer service or support in Australia.

Only get this vehicle if you are Awesome
It doesn't handle like a modern road car. In fact, it does nothing like a modern road car. Anybody who thinks theirs will be different to the one they test drove (even the shortest of test drives) is a complete moron. How about the losers who pick on its fuel economy - you can't be serious, its a 2 tonne square box, it can never be good. Hwy is even worse than the city because of the wind resistance at speed. It's unbelievable off road, even in its most basic factory setup. You can't look at it without smiling. It's not the sort of car y...Read more
ou are "weighing up" against other SUVs, because it's not like them. If you are weighing it up against another SUV, buy the other one you are looking at because you don't get Jeeps, and you will be disappointed. You will be happier because the other SUV drives like a Toyota Corolla, which is what you really want but society insists you must now have an SUV. Exciting things in life aren't practical or comfortable. Huge grin factor for a very reasonable price. Most capable off road vehicle without having to do all the red-neck modifications. I'd like it to have telescopic steering adjustment, and slightly wider/deeper front seats (the latter may be dealt with in the models with leather seats).Similar opinion?
