The toaster is finished nicely and has a button activated toast lowering function. After the cycle is complete us rises in the same slow and smooth way after which it proceeds to beep a short note to let you know. While it's toasting a blue LCD screen shows you a countdown bar.
Apart from the above-mentioned party trick it has a crumpet and a keep warm feature.
Having said all that, the main why buy to justify the extra cost over a $30, a $90 or a $120 toaster is a nicer smoother more premium look and feel. It is expensive and feels several no...
Read moretches above a lower tier toaster. It fits well with other nice gadgets. If that's important to you buy it. You'll feel the inner glow that top quality gives you. If you pass this by you'll be safe in the knowledge that all you are missing is the non functional stuff that's a nice to have but not a must have and the extra cash remaining in your pocket could help you get over buyer's remorse.Purchased in at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for $195.

We've had this toaster now for around 4 years and it's never missed a beat. Positives are that it toasts quite evenly, though for me only the higher settings are useful. I still find it interesting that the toast lowers slowly into the toaster and then raises automatically at the end. This toaster will handle fairly thick bread and crumpets, and has settings for frozen etc. If you have a modern kitchen the red colour might suit your taste. The negatives of this toaster are the long toasting time, I feel this toaster is pretty slow to brown your...
Read more bread, and worst of all is the very loud beep when the toast is done. I hate this feature and wish there was some way to switch it off. I'm usually the first person up in our house and the loud beep is unwelcome at 6:30am. All in all it's been a reliable toaster, if you can live with the beep!Purchased in at Myer.

Nothing very special about this toaster. It is overly large compared to the majority of toasters on the market, so storage will be a concern. The display stays on far too long after completion of toasting which equates to energy wastage. The audible beep at the completion of toasting is just a tad too loud - I am comparing it to the Kitchen Aid kettle, that is much quieter. Timing knob controls are 'sloppy' to the touch - maybe require a better 'snap-to-time' feel. This toaster just says... Made in China... without a lot of Kitchen Aid quality ...
Read morecontrol being present. The User Manual details 'Care and Cleaning' but in a limited manner. It states... 'For detailed information on cleaning the toaster visit our website. Why the heck even print a manual (paper wastage) when you are asking users to go to a website.Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $289.

My toaster trips RCD when I press the toast down button. It does this on both sides. It is fairly new maybe less than 2 years and not used much.
