Does the job as advertised
I bought this around a month ago and it's fine. The ability to integrate with Google Home and the Smarter Home app is ok and works with other Kogan Smarterhome devices. It gives you current temperature on the kettle and in the app which is very useful.
It heats the water in a reasonable amount of time and lights up blue which is great in that we know it's on (except my son who is 2 likes the bubbles and bright blue colour and originally tried to touch it) and as its glass, it get very hot. s to use the app or say "google turn the kettle on" is very convenient (you can also set it to turn on automatically EG 8am and like clockwork, it'll work. The only main negative is that the lid is a little flimsy from straight out of the box. You have the push the button to one side for it to open (sometimes multiple times) on the top. It does feel a bit cheap that way but it only cost me $59. For a kettle that is also smart, it's quite cost-effective. The only other feature which it advertises but I can't seem to be able to is to keep the water at a certain temp for up to 4 hours. It may work but I can't figure it out. The only wish I had for that function is to only keep the water hot for up to 1 hour (I wish I could configure it to be on for an hour in the morning while my wife and I are getting ready to go to work. One feature I would like it to have is to let us know when its empty as it will turn on with nothing in it. The one wishlist feature I wish it had was for it to be Samsung Smartthings compatible for more in-depth automationPurchased in January 2021 at Kogan.com for A$59.00.
