I wish I could give negative stars
Bought lg ac a few years ago had nothing but problems with it. Then it finally needed a service as it broke down completely, it took approx 12 phonecall for lg to respond to my warranty claim Now I have been waiting for a part for over 5 months from them to get it fixed ( the unit is only 2 years old )
I will never buy lg again ..ever!!!
I'm telling everyone I know not to bother buying lg its a crappy product with no after sales. Be warned

Total rubbish
bought LG microwave around a month ago, used it for maximum 10 times, now stopped working. making funny noise and stopped heating. spoke to LG customer service and they were very unhelpful. plus ive purchases the 2 years extended warranty because i have no trust of the brand (it looked nice and my wife chose it). wish ive read the reviews earlier. LG never again

Heed the warnings people, this many 1 star reviews dont lie. Worst service ever. Fullstop
I have had a mobile phone in for service for 3 weeks and have been told lies day after day, been hung up on while on hold twice. Rude people and hopeless service department.
Still no phone, still no idea when I will have this resolved.
Will be interesting to see if product review publish this as I am having my doubts about there neutrality.

VERY SCARY !!!
I have been using convection/microwave ovens for the last 34 years. And very HAPPY with what it can do.
My first c/m oven lasted 16 years, it was a Panasonic, my second c/m oven lasted 14 years, it was also a Panasonic. They never gave me problems, they just DIED. When I could not find another Panasonic, I replaced it with a LG c/m oven of the same size, and that was 4 years ago. en, I noticed there is a big brown mark on top of the oven, initially I thought it was a rust mark, I took some photos and studied the texture of the mark, it became obvious that it is not rust, but a burnt mark. And it is right on top of the convection heating location. So, this morning, I rang LG, and talked to a lady, I explained what I discovered yesterday by accident, and I know my warranty is over, and I AM NOT LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT, OR COMPENSATION. I just like to tell LG of my experience, and they should have that as a warning of their product. If I keep using the convection, it might start a fire. I told the lady I would send photos of the burnt mark and my oven, and asked where to send to, but she is not interested. However, she suggested to have an LG authorised repairer to have a look, and I might have to pay for it. I told her I have lost my confidence in LG oven, if they are interested to find out what the problem is, they are welcome to have a look. All I can say, If LG not interested to find out what the problem is, they are not the company I would have confidence to do business with, just so glad I discovered the burnt mark by accident. And hope my experience would give other people warnings.

400 one star reviews say it all - DO NOT BUY LG
I hate to say that I have mainly LG products in my home and they were once a good product. I purchased a television in 2016 on the promise that it provide for the streaming services and in particular the Disney streaming service (now known as Disney+) when it is released. It was discussed that the television will be used mainly for this purpose and is in the main lounge room.

by the sales person who promised it would suit the purpose. How wrong was I, less than 2 years after purchase the updates stopped, how naive I was to think that shouldn't matter as I was promised. Finally Disney+ was available in Australia and I purchased a year's subscription and sat down with my 6 kids to start the Star Wars / Marvel and Pixar marathons, but no, services are not available on this device. Yes, the television is now 4 years old, but I have televisions in each kids room, the lounge room, the games room and the granny flat, some much older that have access to these streaming services, but it is something we do as a family that we all look forward to and the other televisions are much smaller and designed for smaller rooms. The customer service from LG complaints is an absolute joke, they are hard to understand, the line when calling breaks up and disconnects all the time and they just read preset texts that ignore any Australian Consumer Law Guarantees (Fit for any purpose that the consumer made known to the business before buying) and are completely void of any compassion to their customers. There is no ability to email or reply to emails which means lodging emails through the web every time you want to respond.1 comment

LG - "Just cope with it"
I have been trying to expedite the repair or replacement of a fridge that broke over a week ago. My wife is giving birth to our child on Friday and I'll be without a fridge.
LG only informed me of the details on claiming food loss 3 days after I reported it. They then said, "If you don't have receipts, take pictures on what you threw out". Are you kidding me! 3 days after my fridge was over 25 degrees celsius. I had already thrown the stuff away.

e manager contact us took 4 days. We attempted to contact both the assessor and LG to try and get it done quicker and both of these companies blamed the other for not doing anything. I keep raising that waiting (what will be over two weeks, if lucky) isn't great in my personal situation and now I have an email to say that "we all have to cope with the situation". BTW every email they send you is from a "Do Not Reply Email" which is great for consistency. Our case manager, [name removed], is rude and hung up on me after I requested that he see if we can expedite this process. Their customer service reps are all good at saying "I understand" but I might as well be talking to a computer because their actions do not give the confidence that they do understand.1 comment

Disapointed with LG Oled TV. 2 years and obsolete
We purchased an expensive Smart OLed TV in 2018. So we could use aps like netflix etc.
We tried to dowload the Apple Ap but it did not have access. Called LG and they said my TV was to old and only the 2022 version does it. Come on for all your so called genious why don't you just do a dowloadable patch. TV to old bloody hell. No good after 2 years.
Last time I will buy LG. Should have known better. The ladt LG TV I owned used to cease up if we used Channel 9. Apparently signal to strong for your TVs. You did a patch then after many complaints. Get your act together. Goid name comes with good service.

Do not buy a LG fridge
My wife & l spent almost $2000.00 on a LG fridge model GSL 668PNL French door fridge with ice maker in January 2018 l can't not believe that only 5 months after the 2 year factory warranty is has stopped cooling & freezing this is not a $25 toaster its a $ 2000.00 fridge the life span of any decent fridge should be at least 15-20 years l also have a Westinghouse fridge purchased in 1993 & its still working & never had any repairs. After reading many many reviews on LG fridge complaints l found out to late that this a common problem with LG fridges reviews l read were from Australia & USA.

I was a regular LG customer (phone, washing machines, fridges, TV)... until I bought an expensive 4K NANOCELL 2020 TV which has a defect on the screen, and LG's team concluded that there was no issue with the TV and all the problems are from me, so no refund/exchange/repair.
That's a poor quality TV (if it is truly normal as they say), terrible support, terrible communication.

LG “Life is Good” after sales Service is shocking
NEW Dishwasher failed, LG organised a repair agent that came out 2 weeks later and replaced the part as a known fault, didn’t test it and guess what it didn’t fix it. Repair agent then failed to arrive on second visit, technician called to say he didn’t have the part. We called the repairer (Foreign speaking hard to understand) and they decided they needed the dishwasher a week at their workshop instead. Then after leaving me on hold for 10 minutes unfortunately came off hold by accident and could here him rustling and not talking to anyone returned and said we needed to go back to the repairer. Faulty product, terrible service
Purchased a microwave which stopped heating while still under warranty and was also well within the expected lifetime of this product. I then experienced the most terrible example of customer service I have ever dealt with. Here's what happened:
- Called LG Customer Care (foreign call centre) as per the instructions in the warranty booklet (note: ignore this!! go directly to your retailer as LG do not help if things go wrong despite advising you to go to them direct) who advised of the nearest service centre to take it to.
- Three weeks go by...Read more
with multiple phone calls to the service centre and they are unable to provide an ETA of the spare part required. - Contact LG Customer Care again who after having to push for assistance and not be fobbed off, advise they will be following up with spare parts and promised a call back will be received. They never called back. - Finally, the following week, due to all my chasing up, the service centre advise LG has confirmed there is no spare part available and this information has been forwarded to Customer Care. Washing machine is a fire hazard and replacement refused
I bought my top loader washing machine in July 2018. In Feb 2022 the electrical panel failed mid-cycle and filled my house with smoke. Wouldn't switch on, wouldn't drain. LG repaired it under warranty.
Now, in April 2020, the electrical panel has failed again - more smoke - only this time the pump has gone too, and the hoses are leaking water all over the floor. And this time, the machine wasn't even running when it failed - it just blew. If I hadn't been home to unplug it (thanks COVID-19), it could have burnt the house down.

Disgusting customer service
Bought a LG washing machine July 2022, not even a year old and still in warranty, 3 weeks ago washing a very thin $29 Kmart donor inner like I have every week for the past 10 months using the same cycle options, machine was on final spin, smelt smoke got up to check machine would not stop spinning, stuck on 1 minute to go, turned machine off at wall, unplugged it, opened lid, donor was smoking and hot, with the excessive spinning it got caught on the top! uld not listen to me at all, was not interested in what happened, went to turn machine on and dead, took photos and left, would not tell me what was wrong or what happened- 3 weeks later, numerous calls to LG finally they came back and said it was my fault for overloading the machine, tried to say my side and he said review was done and not their problem, the machine holds 8.5 kgs, the donor at best even wet would weigh 5kgs- it’s very thin, absolutely disgusting customer service, we will be going to the ACCC to get our $800 back, LG not interested at all in working with their customers to ensure they return.1 comment

We bought a LG front loader washing machine and paid for the installation as well. They came installed put the machine on for a test run and waited a few minutes then left. As soon as the cycle finished there was a small pool of water in front of the machine. I called customer care (Manila) and found them very hard to understand got disconnected 4 times very frustrating. In the end they sent a service man out he turned up on time was very professional. He couldn't find where leak was coming from so we are getting a new replacement machine. So fingers crossed the replacement is a good one, or I might choose a Bosh next time.

LG Customer Service Not
Microwave died this weekend,while still under warranty.Spoke to 4 different customer service agents to finalise details of purchase.Told me to carry it to Service agent for assessment.There was no consideration or policy change given for pandemic, quarantine restrictions, ability to lift heavy item or self isolation. In times like this you find out what product to buy & what not. It certainly isn't LG.
After reading all these reviews, I'm not alone in my frustration & disappointment.
Update 5 May 2020. Matter has been resolved with LG.Unit returned & credit provided.

TV LG 75UM7600PTA never worked screen bleed
Brought a LG TV 75UM7600PTA plus many other white goods and electrical goods for a house renovation well over $14k all goods work well except the only LG item the TV all items installed by a professional builder and his team. Terrible customer service bad quality products
We purchased a top of the line lg vacuum about 7 mths ago . It has broken 3 times been away for mths and we still dont have it back !! We now have to go through accc to try to work it out . The vacuum was over a thousand dollars !!! Poor service poor products !!!

Absolutely Horrible
Been in contact with LG for over three months regarding cash back from a fridge that was still in warranty and staff have said it has already been paid but unable to provide a statement and keep telling me that they will contact me again in 24-48 hours. You can never get in contact with anyone as there is only one number. Staff don't care about customer service. They have been absolutely horrible to be in contact with. I discourage absolutely everybody from buying a single purchase from LG unless you want to get ripped off. Absolutely disgusted.
