No Apple TV support.
LG don't support Apple TV for 1 year old TV.Panel is very thin and fragile.
Brought the TV in May 2018 from Harvey Norman.
I expected more from a $3000 TV.
Will not buy again.
Purchased at Harvey Norman for $3,000.00.

OLED perfection
Until I saw this TV, I didnt know what all the fuss about expensive OLEDs was all about. But colours on this TV just pop. Im also really impressed with the operating system that runs on this TV. I generally prefer an Apple TV as my media source but the built in apps and interface in this TV works well enough for me that I wouldnt need my Apple TV except my movie collection from the Apple Store. Hopefully LG will release the Apple TV app like Samsung have soon.
I would strongly recommend checking out one of these TVs if picture quality and true...Read more
blacks are important to you. I dont think I can go back to a regular LCD TV after this since its spoilt me and my wife! About the only downside to this TV is that the sound is not as good as expected. You really want some sort of external sound system to go with this to do the picture justice. Everything else seems to work well. Even the Wi-Fi is stable which tends to be unusual in smart TVs.Purchased in December 2021 at Harvey Norman for $3,400.00.

I seriously love my TV! But voice control feature is useless.
Ok so I might be a little overly impressed as my last TV was an Aldi's tiny thing from 6yrs ago (which was a great TV by the way!), but after using this TV for quite some time I must say it really is impressive!
This television is sleek and sexy. A barely existant border, classy stand and lack of gratuitous branding gives it a modern look and makes it less 'obvious' in the room when turned off.
The extremely high-quality resolution makes new movies and shows a pleasure to watch, as a lot of them now have special effects and action scenes, t...Read more
he eyes can focus and follow easily. But what is really cool is it enhances the visual quality of older movies and shows! This makes them nice to re-watch as you can see smaller details the televisions couldn't pick up in the era they were made. Live TV is clear and gone are the days of the footy being a bit 'fuzzy'. The remote is easy to navigate, and I am ever so grateful they haven't shoved as many buttons as they could manage onto it just for the sake of looking impressive. The Netflix button is probably the most used, and a really handy feature! As is the home button, which doesn't disturb what you are viewing when you press it. The buttons are adequately sized, logically placed and clearly marked. One thing I'm not sure of is the Amazon button, cross-promotion I guess? The biggest plus for me is how simple this TV is to use. It has a lot of great features that are easy to find, especially the settings which are in logical places. There are some extras which I don't see as necessary such as 'photo gallery', but it makes up for it in other places such as the ability to save web-browser pages in the 'home' menu. Also, I like how you can customise the 'home' menu as easily as re-arranging apps on your phone.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Incredible TV however be wary of heavily compressed programs
Stepping up from a 9 year old plasma flat screen, I was always going to be taken aback by the 4K quality of the OLED picture and Smart TV features. I have been, that's for certain. The TV is stunning to look at from every angle, and without the stand, is truly minimalistic without any branding at all. It looks incredible in "art" mode, displaying stunning art pieces in 4K.
The Smart TV features are impressive, so too is the navigation and UX (user experience) of the menus. Very simple to click your way around the inputs, settings and apps. Th...Read more
e bonus Netflix button continues to be extremely valuable to my partner as it is no-fuss. I can't comment on sound quality as it is linked up to surround sound amp and speakers. My only reservations have been around how the processor handles low quality/compressed signals for dark shows. The SBS drama "Das Boot" was almost unwatchable on the TV. It is so dark being set on a submarine - and no matter whether we streamed the show using the (very helpful) SBS On Demand Smart TV app, or via our Foxtel iQ4 box, the result was the same - blotchy blacks and greys that were very difficult to watch. It does not struggle with higher bandwidth content such as 4K Blu-Ray's via Xbox One S - they look stunning. Overall I've been very impressed with the TV, the Smart apps and general usability. The value for money is great too.Purchased in November 2021 at Harvey Norman for $1,995.00.

A great TV!
Amazing picture! Easy to set-up and easy to navigate. Was fortunate to purchase during a sale period so keep an eye out! A sound bar is recommended for when watching movies. A great T.V.

Amazing picture quality, smart remote is great!
The picture is the stand-out feature with this TV and the reason I bought it, its simply amazing. The sound quality was also surprisingly good considering how thin the TV is.
It has 4 HDMI inputs and 3 USB inputs which is more than enough. Also it has both WiFi and a LAN cable port, but I have found the WiFi is fast enough to stream HD content without any issues.
The TV runs webOS which is always fast and responsive and I've found the smart remote great for selecting TV shows fast with its pointer abilities. It has apps for all the main strea...Read more
ming services. I've had the TV since August last year and still loving it. The only downside to this TV is that it costs more than pretty much every other TV out there but you pay for quality and this TV is top of the line.Purchased in August 2021 for $3,498.00.

Excellent picture quality. Only downside is the panel is very thin and so fragile.Owned it for an Year and love it.
Smart TV features works like a dream. Sonos integration working perfectly. Can control via the LGTV app. Excellent picture quality. Built in casting works with YouTube and other apps plus with windows 10 PC/Laptops.

Great picture but doesn't last long
Brought the TV in Dec 18. Sparingly used for the next 2 months. Great picture quality and Web OS is good. It suddenly died one day while watching. No picture. Tried next day, saw picture appear for 10 seconds and no picture at all after this. Called Harvey Norman, they suggested I speak to LG, who asked a local contractor to check it out. Few days later, he tried to fix it, changed some board, but did not work. He took the TV away for repairs at his workshop. Stated that it maybe a TV panel issue. Poor quality and service. Beware.
Purchased in December 2021 for $4,000.00.

Ready for the future
Great tv. Clear picture on new shows, now just waiting for some of the shows to catch up to the technology. So easy to use and connect up to Netflix with the remote button. Good sound quality and clear picture. Good compact remote control too. Very happy with the purchase.

Totally worth the money
Using this one for about 4 months now. Got it from JB HiFi on sale.
This TV is best in it's class. LG keeps it's picture quality standard almost consistent among all models and this one is almost as better as E8.
Also, with the latest WebOS update, I can also control it through Alexa and it works like a charm. Apps load fast enough too. It also comes with the freeview and channel 10 apps, which gives yet more options.
The sleek design is a pretty good plus point too.
It does take a few extra minutes to connect to WiFi sometimes though a restart solves the issue.

Unwatchable and LG customer service very poor
This TV has a lot of potential but it cannot handle shades of dark grey or black. Picture appears pixelated in dark scenes whether it be streaming or live tv.
Good operating system easy to use but not much use if picture is unwatchable.
Have tried to get action from LG customer service but their customer service is rated zero stars. Supposedly I have a case manager but they will not tell me who it is and several efforts to contact LG to resolve case has resulted in no return contact since initial contact. Been weeks now.
My first LG product and will certainly be my last one.

This is the GREATEST TV Ever!!!!!
This is just the BEST TV Ever!! Beautiful Picture the likes of which I have not seen before. Movies, TV Shows, DVD's etc all look so much better than anything that I have seen before. The Unit is very well made - paper thin screen - metal base that actually makes this TV very stable and Very Easy to Set-up. Had it for a couple of weeks so far and couldn't fault it. The Smart side of this TV is super fast compared to other TV's I have owned and very easy to operate.

Questions & Answers
Timasked
Has anyone else found that this television pixelates in dark scenes? This is particular during streaming but also on live to air. The television essentially can not distinguish between shades of dark grey and turns large blobs of the screen black in dark scenes.

What you are describing is artifacts from low quality streaming bit rates. I have one of these and it is the best at low light scenes but cant produce what isn't there.
Thanks. Except it was doing it on 1080p and 4K. LG after 3 months of haggling replaced the screen and it no longer does it
