Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Took the time to make sure we bought the right mattress. Did not push us to look at the most expensive mattresses. Answered all our questions and interacted (with great patience) with our kids.

Need a new caravan mattress and was the only place in Newcastle where you could test them out. Service was great and made to our measurement. Only took a week to make which was quicker then estimated. Would highly recommend.

We purchased four single bed Siesta mattresses for the kids and Belissimo Duet 2000 mattress for us (parents). We also purchased base with drawers, bed head and linen. All this was delivered from Newcastle to Sydney without a hitch. All the staff we spoke to at Newcastle were friendly and extremely helpful (as were the delivery guys). They answered every question accurately and gave advice without trying to up sell. We changed the quote several times and had no problem - all our changes were made efficiently. The most important thing...the beds are super comfortable and look amazing!! Could not fault this company.

I purchased my makin mattress in December 2018. Excellent service from Kay at the Adelaide store. Also, called them a few months later to enquire on "comfort promise", &, without hesitation my mattress was picked up by 8am, & re delivered by lunch time. All reconfigured as a firmer mattress. No extra charge. I recommend makin to anyone looking for great quality & service. Local to!! Best night sleeps now. :)

Purchased the Bellissimo 2000 in February 2017 and found it firmer than expected but still very comfortable. A change in personal circumstances required the topper to be adjusted. After contacting the store this was able to be done for free using the customer comfort promise . This adjustment process was extremely easy and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

From first contact to delivery-excellent service. Shopping for a new mattress can be somewhat daunting given the number of companies selling product. Staff provided friendly unbiased advice and we selected 2 “Natural Wool Latex” Mattresses. Of course “good old double sided” as well! It was just a pleasure dealing with everyone in store. We needed a certain shape and size mattress made for our camper trailer. The one it came with was uncomfortable as it was foam. I wanted a sprung mattress but it was near impossible to find. After a week searching online for a low height innerspring mattess I discovered Makin Mattresses. They were so easy to convey my needs to and told me within a few hours that they could do the size and shape I needed.

The mattress was ready within a week unlike another company who'd advised a 5 week turn around.

Staff are amazing to deal with and the manufacturing of the bed is of a very high standard.

I love my new mattress and pillow top, after 11hrs nightshifts I sleep better and wake up without a sore back, both mattress and pillow top are locally made which is great and they beat all the rest hands down
