We had a couple of problems where the Warrenty team have been very helpful. Big Thankyou to Mitchell whom was extremely helpful.
Faults now fixed.
We are very happy with our Xt12HR and would recommend MDC.

The worst after sales support!
I purchased a new xt12 off road van, it has been to 2 mechanic shops and spent a further 21 days in the MDC showroom for repairs and is still not right. The communication or lack of is very unprofessional and they will not apologise even after they clearly make promisses they never keep. stay clear of they company as there after sales support is not there!

00 to me each time to cover sloppy warranty work and a poorly delivered van in the first place. Over 21 days you called me twice, i asked for emails of the work completed before the van left the workshop but MDC (you) were too busy to give me that. Difficulties customer service had with me - are you kidding ? im still waiting a call from Vaughn and anything in writing from you on replying to my initial email of warranty issues (half of which didn't get completed to minimum standard). Occasionally things go wrong in business and normally the business is apologetic and bends over backwards to help its customers but MDC did not in this case as i waited 3 weeks for the van to be picked up and 21 days you had it to fix "minimal issues". Maybe if i had received a handover i may have been more aware of making modifications but again this didn't happen. Be fair - you guys have my 40k and i have a van20 weeks latter still with issues! any chance ill get my interest back I've paid? for a van that is not what i paid for? Ive been patient and stayed off social media but enough enough.......

Excellent caravan.
I looked at the MDC caravans and trailers at several camping shows. I was at the Melbourne show and decided to buy the Forbes 13+. The sales man was helpful and very knowledgeable. He gave me almost an hour of his time before I was satisfied that I had all my answers. He was even happy to take phone calls and text messages to answer further questions. Living in NSW my caravan was transferred to the Sydney store once it was built. This was easy and the pick up was easy. The demonstration was thorough and easy to follow. well made and comes with so many additional extras that make the value superb. The size of the interior space and the beds is all excellent. The proper adult sized single bed is an excellent addition to the caravan.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

MDC XT15HR
We are seasoned campers having spent two years camping around Aus with a camping trailer doing all the 4x4 attractions, Cape York, Kimberleys etc. We purchased our XT15HR second hand (12 months old) for a very affordable price (I couldn't afford not to buy it). I was terrified I'd bought a lemon. That couldn't be further from the truth. It's a great bit of gear. We took it away for 10 days over the Easter period. We travelled wet greasy tracks from Dalmorton through Chalundi State Forest (NP) in the rain to Ebor then out to Bingara on as many d...Read more
irt roads as we could find. Dry, dusty, sometimes corrugated. The van performed brilliantly. We struggled to keep the batteries charged, when not travelling, due to lack of sun (not the fault of the van) and the shower doesn't drain as good as it could. I've got a simple fix for that. I called MDC today, unbeknownst to me they were closed but Jannette took my call. She provided me with the info I was after without hesitation. In short, we couldn't be happier with our MDC XT15HR thus far.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

XT17HRT Perfect for Us
My wife and I bought an XT17HRT from the Sydney store. The team there were very knowledgeable about the MDC products. We chose the XT17HRT becasue of it's offroad ability and there is only two of us travelling, it has not failed us so far. Thankyou MDC

I regret ever buying from MDC
Warranty claim refusals and the customer service is horrible. I regret ever purchasing through them. I really should have gone to the competition. The little i saved purchasing through them wasnt worth it. Don't do it!!!!

Horrible after sales team
On purchase of $26000 trailer I was promised a solar panel as part of the deal. When picking up the trailer I was told they were out of stock of the portable panels and they would send one out the next week. After about 30 phone calls my panel arrived 10 months later. Avoid

Be careful on mdc owners groups pages as if you say anything negative towards the campers the mdc team will call you a liar then get the admins to delete your response and block you from the page. There is no true feedback on those pages.

Solar panel is attached to the boat rack, if you need assistance, please call our aftersales service team on 1300MDCCARE. 1300632227
A solar panel seperate to the one on boat rack. “Portable solar panel” was not sent out for 10 months.

Alex a separate solar panel is not supplied standard with this model, neither is it functional with the IDC25 DC-DC charger. It would not work in your situation.

Warranty service from hell XTT
I have had my Robson XTT camper for almost a year and after my first short trip my electric brakes completely failed. I had to limp home. I put in a warranty claim, 4 weeks later because MDC warranty are pathetic I posted a bad feedback on face book. The next day Mdc contacted me instantly and semi rectified the situation. The next trip I took the camper on, once again the brakes had completely failed. I put in another warranty claim again. That was 7 weeks ago. Apart from the usual “we will get back to you” or “sorry that person doesn’t work h...Read more
ere anymore please be patient” my $26000 camper sits at my house unusable. I am meant to be going on a months holiday starting this week and have had to cancel the trip. So just a heads up for anyone who wants to buy a MDC camper. Sales are very quick to sell you the goods with all the promises in the world if something was to go wrong. But the reality is the warranty and after sales teams are and without putting $100 in the swear jar. They are just simply pathetic. I will never buy one again and I am very seriously contimplating selling this pile of crap. My friends who were interested in buying one of these have now also seen multiple other customers having great difficulty with warranty claims and are spending their hard earned money elsewhere. Hi Peter, the warranty team apologises for the mix up. In spite of brakes and linings not being covered under warranty, replacement hubs are being dispatched to you at no charge for product or freight so you'll be back on the road soon.

MDC Jackson FF
Had the Jackson FF for a couple of months. Second trip out and loving it. Only issues we’ve had are operator error and the strip lights were wired back to front - easy fixed after a quick email to MDC. One tip we got from the guys at hand over was to put a damp rid type thing in the camper. I reckon it’s saved us. We packed it up dry however after two weeks the pot had a fair bit of moisture in it. Thanks MDC.

I’ve had two warranty claims since. A zipper and solar panel. You guys are sending out some replacement zips (I’ll have to get it installed) but considering zips aren’t covered under the warrant I’m pretty happy. And you guys are sending a new solar panel out as the regulator went on the first one. Once again I’m more than happy with these responses. I’m looking forward to getting out n about more often.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Had my xt12 almost 2 years and in that time done close to 30000ks. Had a few little issues but would expect the same from anything...is incredibly well put together and now I have the confidence to take it anywhere....love it.

Love my XT12!
Bought an XT12 in 2016. It has been amazing to travel in. Slightly on the heavy side but worth it in off-road quality. Have done about 40000 km so far and only minor issues. Well worth the price. Great van!

Happy campers
We love our compact xt12. So easy to tow and park. Everything we need in a van. We purchased ours off the showroom floor at 12 months old. Everything works perfect. Great for a lady driver to manage and set up. Good informative and helpful staff. Very happy.

Is it pissible to match the wheel and tyre size to the new landrover discovery. 19” wheels basically.
1 answer
Steve Z.Market Direct Campers
in 2022 we changed to a 14mm wheel stud and stayed with the 6 stud Landcruiser pattern. Our drums run on a parallel axle so generic drums wont work as they are a tapered smaller axle. We have no other stud pattern options available

The retainer is pressed in and the slide not Meant to be removed. What are you needing to do to remove the kitchen?
Hi Steve.
The awning, pump and 12 volt socket panel above the cooktop has dropped and I need to screw it back up but can’t get my hand around and up to fix them off. Hence pull the kitchen out to get to the screws
Steve Z.Market Direct Campers
There should be a panel under the back seat in forward folds or under the bed in a rear fold that can be removed to access the kitchen area. What model trailer is it?

or the duration and you were given explanations along the way. The delay was due to me being away and a back injury on return so your van couldn't be immediately dealt with. I wanted to handle it personally given the difficulties the customer service team had dealing with you. We paid for a wheel alignment on your word that it was needed. We also paid a substantial amount to have your van transported on a flat bed to the branch on your word that there was a sway issue. Upon extensive road testing with ball weight correctly set with cargo we couldn't fault the handling of the product once we compensated for the weight distribution change after your modifications. This is consistent with the hundreds of XT12's around the country being towed without problem. The loading guidelines are set out in the owner manuals and should be followed to ensure the trailer handles safely and consistently. Given the unnecessary expense incurred through having your van transported to the branch we think it's only fair that you return it for the items you're concerned about to be attended to rather than us outlaying further for third party contractors or transport. You haven't been refused service, we're just asking you to work with us and be fair. The sooner you drop it back the sooner you can sell it as was your original plan.
