Maytronics Dolphin Swash
Great cleaner.
Had it now 4 1/2 years.
Hasn’t missed a beat.
Cleans well and climbs walls to step out level.
Only thing is that the outside of the unit has faded but that’s expected in the Aussie sun.
Purchased in for $2,000.

Cleans part of pool and not all?
Does not go up walls.
Not that good.
Maintenance isn’t too easy.
Overall ok but not happy how it doesn’t do walls.
Not too pleased about this unit
Purchased in for $600.

If this unit is advertised as going up walls it is false
I wasted my money. This unit does not perform as promoted. It will only occasionally climb the walls of the pool. The pool retailer has continually found reasons not to refund my money. Nowhere in the very limited information that came with the unit did it say that the PH level has to be within a limited range., altho on a number of occasions, it was within that range, it still did not climb the walls. Nowhere in the limited information did it say that the unit will take 10 to 20 minutes to map out the pool before it cleans the walls The retai...
Read moreler, Pool-Ezy Echuca, seems to be desperately trying to find excuses, even film the cycle, for two hours and submit the video for their inspection. I have come to a point where I will be taking this matter further. So not only do I advise that you do not purchase this unit, don't buy it from Pool-Ezy Echuca. Maytronics, who appears to be the wholesaler is also creating new reasons not to resolve this matter, from scrub down the walls with a brush to washing the filter out with soapy water.Purchased in for $1,750.
Hi Peter. We understand that our team has reached out to you and offered potential solutions regarding the robot's performance and also understand that Pool Ezy have attended site to assist. As advise...
Read mored earlier, our team has also reached out to Pool Ezy and are currently waiting their response.Pool- Ezy Echuca has agreed that I return the cleaner. Curiously, thay tell me that they will inspect it to make sure that it is in pristine condition (they have been dodging for two months. It cannot...
Read more possibly be in pristine condition), test it to ensure that it has not been compromised (??) so that they can repackage it for reselling!! Two points. 1. the cleaner is faulty; reselling? 2. they tell me that there are scratches on the body of the unit that cannot be regarded as from normal use. scratchers occur when the weighty unit is dragged out of the pool. They are trying hard to not refund my money. They have referred this matter back to Maytronics. So the ball will be in their court.Hi Peter. We have been in contact with the team at Pool Ezy and are assisting in resolving this matter.

Very disappointed in this piece of equipment, it may pick up leaves and nuts from trees...sometimes, but will not pick up any dirt that accumulates on the pool bottom. However the worst part about it is that it just goes over the same sections of the pool all the time. We have a 9 x 3m oval above ground pool and this machine just won't go near the rounded ends. We previously had a Barracuda but got frustrated with it because leaves and nuts used to jam the diaphragm meaning stopping it to remove the blockage, a small price to pay for a clean pool I now realise. Gave it the benefit of the doubt for way too long...unfortunately the SWASH was an expensive waste of money.
Purchased in for $850.
Hi John. Maytronics robots are designed to maintain a clean pool and general pool maintenance is still required. Water chemistry is vital in the ongoing maintenance of a pool and can also play a part ...
Read morein a robot’s performance and its ability to gain traction. It is recommended to have the water tested regularly to ensure chemistry levels and pH levels are within their documented ranges. Should chemistry levels be outside of their ideal ranges, the surface may become slippery. Following a full water test and the pool balanced, where required, a manual brush down of the surfaces to ensure any slipperiness has been attended to will allow the robot to then be able to maintain these areas on its own. Algae is also a sign of water chemistry requiring attention. As algae is slippery, robots may be unable to gain traction, as advised above. The filter type also plays a role in the way that the robot filters debris. The ultra-fine filters look like small folds, or a cartridge, and are best suited to filter smaller particles, such as dust. The spring net filters look like a mesh-type of filter and are suitable for larger debris types. Have had my dolphin swash for 4 years now. It has not been working very well. Have replaced the blade and Had it serviced earlier in the year. Supposedly it should be working again but unfortunately not. Is this normal and is there somewhere I can take the cleaner to be serviced once again? Thank you Jane Bennett ( West End) Brisbane QLD
I would call the manufacturer and request repair under the Australian consumer law. This is an expensive item and should last a reasonable time.
Good Morning Jane,
We are sorry to hear that your Swash is not functioning the way that it should be. It is not normal for any robot to still be experiencing difficulties after repair/service. We d...

I hose the bag out each time, thanks Jon
Hi Jon, please call us on 1300 693 657 and we will run through some options with you.
I had the same problem. The dealer Poolside in Wangaratta, who sold it to my client, kept on stalling making excuses. So finally the Maytronics Breaside team were alerted online by email. This resulte...
Read mored in me carefully filing a report on what I observed and they then suggested bringing it to them from as far as Wangaratta Victoria, a distance of some 300 kilometers. I was acting for someone else and asked him about it. It was going to cost quite a bit of time and cost for fuel to get it there. It was never pointed out to me that the seller was responsible for the transport to and from Wangaratta. After suggesting a new filter pack instead of the bag (I had cleaned it and it got blocked (not full) after some ten minutes) which I felt could solve it it was sent of. It has been working fine after the whole unit was sent of for the conversion. It runs much better and I feel that the condition of the pool as far as chemicals go is not the problem as is stated in Matronics literature. It may have been designed for a pool under those conditions but electronically and mechanically it would not make any difference on its performance. A dirty pool is another matter however, as these units are only able to keep a pool clean, not to actually clean a very neglected pool. This pool cleaner with the new filter works well and the bag system should be abandoned. Yet the dealer locally contends that she has had no problems with them. I wonder about the truth of this matter.... Kudos to Maytronics for fixing it, but brickbats for not alerting me to the dealers responsibility for freight back to the technical department.Get an answer from our members and Maytronics representatives
