Well researched
This webinar has a strong research base to support the discussion and strategies. There were some issues with the link to the presenters dropping out, however the material to be informative and relevant.

Well organised and facilitated
The Summit was well organised and easy to access with reminders sent by email before the event which I found helpful. The short breaks were great to recharge and enable to refocus for the next presenter.
The speakers all had their own style of delivery a few a little on facts and figures, however still good learning and all very helpful and willing to suggest further follow up material to read.
Over all I was very satisfied with presentation and course content.

Review
Satisfied with all course material and presentations. At times internet connections, mine and theirs, were problematic, but hey, isn't that always the case with internet meets.
Stand out presentations, for me, were (a)working with men and workplace health and (b)safety when working with suicide prevention.

A great way to access good information
I was able to attend 3 lectures over the 2 days and found each one of them to be highly informative, relevant and interesting. The course was not difficult and the information was presented in a very accessible manner. I was delighted to receive the handouts which included links to research articles.
I would definitely attend again.

Very informative
I found this course to be very overwhelming, but informative. As I am not a mental health professional some of the sessions went over my head, I thought. But I am very happy that I participated, it gives me a better insight into what to look for in our clients. The session that was on self and team care in the workplace was very valuable as we are a very small team of volunteers and one emergency relief coordinator. I would like to thank all the presenters for sharing their time and knowledge. I would like to keep learning more about how to help our community and keep our small team safe and well.

It was great.
It was great. I especially enjoyed the Aboriginal content. I always find the variety of expertise presented makes the webinars invaluable sources of information. I would have liked at least one more webinar relating to school age children otherwise great weekend.

Excellent way to spend some down time
A time smart and convenient way to access information about suicide prevention with various specialist presenters covering many different aspects fundamental to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. Relevant and current research relating to suicide prevention significantly raised the importance and the need to target specific demographics and risk assessment policy to improve the delivery of mental health support in the future. Thanks to MHA and all the presenters.

Handy talks
useful range of topics pertaining to suicide and counseling. apart from many presenters having initial problems getting slides working, quite professional and easy to follow without drifting from evidence base

Lots of really useful information
The summit was very well organised despite a few technical issues. All the information provided was of high quality and the presenters were very knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. I particularly liked the presenters who presented their own research. Overall, a very valuable learning experience for me.

I found it very accessable and informative
Most kept me engaged. One or two I struggled to keep focused as there was so much information (felt somewhat overloaded...it could be just be me who struggled) but the delivery wasn't very helpful...but still quite good.
There was only one I found to be quite distracting and bordering on being unhelpful because it seemed to be driven by a tone of cultural resentment in the delivery, which meant helpful information became quite overshadowed.

Well planned and excellent speakers
The way the program was organised over 2 days and with sessions spaced out to enable a break between speakers made this summit very accessible. The speakers were excellent, knew their topics well and kept me engaged.

Tune Up
I found this to be a chance to tune up - check in - and put this important area to front of mind. I was able to get up dated research and information. Following on I always make a peer supervision/gathering to discuss the summit and how it will impact our work going forward.

Good Balance
Very pleasing to hear the relevance and form of current research and that outcomes are benefiting needy
communities already. The weekend provided framework for practice, person centred care and compassion for practitioner and those living the experiences and the need for peer to peer work The format of the web-in-air was excellent.

Great opportunity to review and build on knowledge
Yes, great presenters. Presenting with sensitive language, yet at the same time provided clear directive processes, with good evidence based, lived experience and specialised information.
Great opportunity for everyone involved. Certainly a much needed conference.

Hi Siobhan,
I pay the subscription monthly and since being a member have attended a number of Master Classes and the annual Summits and have not paid any extra. So, no, no extra costs/ fees.
PedroMental Health Academy

I am a qualified social worker working in mental health. Am I able to use this membership to complete my cpd to obtain mental health social worker accreditation with the AASW. It appeared that I could before I joined but now I am a little confused. Thanks

You can use it to maintain the required annual CPD points for your AMHSW accreditation
PedroMental Health Academy
Hi Steph, thanks for your question. All our courses are endorsed for CPD by the AASW. As an AMHSW you are also required to undertake CPD which specifically covers Focussed Psychological Strategies, or FPS. Currently we offer over 90 hours of FPS-related CPD - to identify which courses cover FPS, you can either use our "Topics" filter (in the Catalogue page), or you can refer to our FPS Course Collection: https://www.mentalhealthacademy.com.au/catalogue/collections/focussed-psychological-strategies-fps-topics

Hi I was wondering if I join the mental health academy will I still have access to the super summit. Thanks kate

Yes, the Mental Health Academy is for ongoing professional development, to learn more on counselling therapies, and obtain certificates.
If you are with the Australian Counselling Association the points get added to your OPD log.
PedroMental Health Academy
Hi Kate! Thank you for your question. Registration for the Mental Health Super Summit is separate to MHA membership, as part of the event's purpose is to raise funds for charity. That being said, after each edition of the Summit, many of the sessions are converted into MHA courses and are available for members via our Catalogue. Thus, by becoming a MHA Premium member, you'll have access to most sessions from previous editions for the Mental Health Super Summit. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. All the best!
