We have been with Mercedes Insurance for 7 years and this years renewal policy had some odd things on it so I rang to be told system is down, no offer to ring back. I messaged via FB and was asked for contact number 4 days ago and still no contact. Rang again to be told area I need to speak to are not available.
Not good enough, i will not be renewing or ever using them again.

Absolutely terrible
Had a 'not at fault' accident over 10wks ago- i didnt get the other drivers home address, so had to pay the excess until the other drivers details were provided. Picked up my car from being repaired 5 weeks ago and im still waiting for the excess to be returned.
MBFS/QBE were provided with her name, rego number, insurance company etc and they're telling me they havent got her rego details as yet. Seriously?? 1 phone call/email to her insurerer would give you that info and you're telling me it takes over 10weeks to get that information??? Sent an email 4days ago to the claims officer, still haven't received a response. Called them today and got told to call the claims officer on the 26th.
Absolutely terrible.

Will never deal with Mercedes Benz Financial Services Australia Insurance again
We have been with them for a few years now and have just had to make our first claim. It was a "not at fault" claim as a truck trailer broke leaving debris all over the highway. Myself and numerous other drivers have hit the debris causing damage to our vehicles - luckily (or unluckily... depends which way you look at it) I only received two flat tyres and a damaged rim - no underbody damage. Phew. We did everything within our power with due diligence and took photos of the damage, the scene and also the truck driver's vehicle, trailer, drivers...Read more
licence, etc. I spent over 1 1/2 hours on the side of the highway at night actually on hold to the insurance company waiting to speak to a consultant. Eventually I got through and they organised a tow truck which took several more hours to arrive but I was happy to finally get home and for my vehicle to go to the closest repairer. Fast forward three weeks and I am still without my car. The insurance company do not acknowledge emails, talk in circles when you phone them and are trying to deny our claim in full. My vehicle comes standard from the factory with tyres that are off set and directional, meaning they cannot be rotated and have to replaced in pairs. If they aren't, this causes a larger rolling diameter on one side and in turn can cause drive train related issues such as transfer case or differential binding (as quoted by the Mercedes Benz technician). This could be a serious safety issue! Despite other affected parties who are with cheaper generic insurance companies suffering similar damage to their vehicles, all of their claims have been settled - they are already back on the road, with repaired vehicles and did not have to pay their excess! I have escalated our claim to the Complains Department and they are just as useless as the rest of their consultants. To even have the car assessed, they required 5 business days. When you ask them a question, they have 15 business days to answer. At one stage they tried to make us contribute 50% of the repair costs and offered us a cash settlement (less the excess of course) as they said they would be repairing the vehicle to a better condition before it was prior to the incident - what the? All we are asking is that the recommended repair work be done to make the car safe and driveable again, as it was prior to the incident. They will not give me an explanation as to why they believe they will be improving it! Honestly, I have never had a worse experience with any insurance company and I'm at a loss as to why they won't just authorise the claim and waive the excess. We are not talking thousands of dollars here, only hundreds - I would hate to see if you had a serious crash and required actual body work. They would probably try and claim that you shouldn't have even been driving your vehicle and that because you went out it was all your fault. We have the full support of our local MB Dealership who are helping as much as they can but here I am three weeks later still fighting with no vehicle. I know that if I paid the excess that would be end of it and the insurer will never cough up - why bother having insurance if that's the case? My personal recommendation is to NEVER deal with his organisation EVER.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very dodgy
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Australia have not only breach a number of banking and finance regulations, they simply try to avoid contact. No calls from them, I call them each time to try fix their mistakes. They don't return calls, emails. When I confronted them on all the breaches they have made, they outsourced the debt with no notice, no call nothing. I look forward to the coming weeks, these guys will end up in the media. And I am going to make sure they are held accountable for their dodgy practice.

Hopeless
I lodged a claim on 27 July, 2018. As I have heard nothing by August 4 I tried to call the claims number. I have been holding on to recorded music for exactly 1 hour. No call back provision, no notice of how much longer i have to wait.

NEVER get your car insurance through Mercedes Benz
This is a review for Mercedes Benz car insurance. We got our comprehensive insurance with MB when buying our new car as it got sold to us as a premium product. This could not be further from the truth. The policy is underwritten by QBE insurance (read their reviews). Firstly, it was difficult to even find the right contact number to make a claim. Secondly, they were obstructive when a family member was trying to start the claim while we were hospitalised with serious injuries. Thirdly, the towing was delayed and the car subsequently was strippe...Read more
d and burnt out. Any lay person can see that the car is a write off even from photos but there has been delay after delay and the car still has not been able to be "assessed" and we are now 4 weeks out from the accident. Extremely poor customer service, product AND expensive. I don't normally write online reviews but I am taking exception as I hope no one else gets sucked into buying this terrible product.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bait and Switch Insurance
Even though they were more expensive than my previous insurer I decided to give them a try because of some their added extras I found appealing. Fast forward 12 months I get my renewal which has had a 30% increase in premium. I also had the excess increased by $195.
If you want your business to be valued then don't use them

increase of $400 in one year, no claims
We got insurance with Mercedes benz when we purchased our car last year. The premium then was around $1,000. This year it jumped to $1,400. We are on a maximum no claim bonus. no accidents ever, in 40 plus years. Needless to say, we got insurance elsewhere, for almost $400 less.

Do not Deal With MB Financial Services. Bad And Cunning Practices are Used
If I could give Mercedes Benz Financial Services a score of -5 stars, I would
We Purchased an E500 Coupe Avantgarde and obtained MB Finance services to loan us the money for a lease purchase.
We have been paying $2513.47 a month for the car since 11/03/2011 up to 11/09/2016. The lease was a 5 year lease and we have made payments to the value of $97.058.73 by that time and were on our last year of paying it off.
As every person has unexpected bills, we were late with a couple of payments during the 4 years of repayments, but were co...Read more
ntinually in contact with them and finalised the arrears in not longer then a few weeks before the next payment fell due. So we were never 2 or 3 payments behind, where I would be fair and say, yes you can take the car because I don’t have the money. but this was not the case. On or a bout July 2016, we had some unexpected bills that delayed our MB repayment for that month, however I have discussed the issue with MB financial services and we have been given an ultimatum; to either pay out the full loan amount or surrender the car. Since I was not given any reasonable other opportunity to rectify a late payment after already paying over 75% of the loan, I was under enormous pressure just having 2 options, so I requested to be given the chance to sell the car privately,Similar opinion? My car was repossessed 9 month before finishing my 5 year loan
Mercedes Bens Financial Services repusesse our 2009 E500 coupe after 4 years of repayments from a 5 year loan, and after paying $109.000 of a $135.000 loan.
I admit we were late with a couple of payments (maybe 3 times) during the lease period but never late more then a couple of weeks and always paid the monthly amount before the next instalments was due, we were always calling and advising them on the phone that payment this month my be delayed a couple of weeks. All was good and agreed by them until I came to my last year of repaying the...Read more
car and owning it. Mercedes Benz financial Services contacted me about 9 month before our loan would have been completely finalised, because of a late payment and put an ultimatum before us. Its either you surrender the car or will repossess it, they put enormous pressure on us and had harassed us with repossession agencies and thugs that came knocking on the door and trespassing onto a double gated security gate, and they have been told to leave the premises by the complex manager several times ... I did not want to be in anyones Black list. So I contacted MB Financial Services and said that I can pay the late fee and arrears or $2350 in two weeks, which will fal before the next instalment is due but they didn’t budge from their final decision to either give the care back to them or repossession will take place.. I then called Mercedes Benz financial Services and asked them to at least be given to opportunity to sell the car privately, as I have not been given any other choice, they agreed to allow a few more weeks to sell the car privately. I approached Clayton Bespoke in Double Bay Sydney to get the car consigned with them for sale. 2 days after the car was photographed by The dealers professional photographer in a special location, and finalise our paper work for the private sale, Mercedes Benz Financial Services entered a double gated security property with tow truck and took my car. They had No court order and no information or any notification by mail or phone was given to me by them for doing so. although I had an agreement with them that I will sell the car privately. Then we receive a letter that the car is repossessed and it will be sold in an auction. they sold the car below its market value and request us to pay the shortfall. no bloody way, this was theft, trespassing and reneging on an agreement we had, we have also already paid over 70% of the vehicle which means its more ours then theirs. what a bunch of crooks. this is how they achieve they high profit announcement at the end of financial years taking peoples cars that have paid most of it off and then been taken by them for aa small error towards the end of the lease. I have been late several time in the beginning of the lease but they never threatened to repossess the car because they waited for me to pay most of it off, then have a slight glitch and grab the opportunity to make their money twice over. Be aware of Mercedes Benz finance, as I found out they had same practices in the US and had a class action taken against them. Be warned! This could happen to you
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services use Chartis Insurance (not mentioned anywhere in their literature) for its Gap Insurance services; this is 'assertively' bundled with your finance deal. However, it seems that the policy can be 'retrospectively' cancelled & dishonoured without explanation at will, without any notification to you and in my case six months after the previous contract has been officially finalised & closed! This is while you are running a new contract with a current policy. Getting your premium refund is virtually impossible. Despi...Read more
te being a loyal repeat customer (12 years & four contracts) with highest available credit history, your queries are not answered by anybody within this organisation and so far seven personnel within Mercedes-Benz Financial have vanished and guaranteed return calls never happen. You get stone-walled without warning and become persona non grata overnight. A cover of $ 15 000 does not cover $ 1 600 and you get threatened with "collection" by senior staff and legal department if you dare ask why you need to pay. I have sent the same cheque under protest to them twice within time specified, only to have it returned twice. It will be returned shortly for third time! Now it seems my credit rating is under threat by Mercedes-Benz Financial Australia despite never refusing to pay. An exceptionally arrogant and faceless company who rely on the inertia of size and a premium name. This damaging episode has gone on now for 18 months without resolution! Falsely believing you are dealing with a professional organisation Dealing with them has become akin to reasoning with the MafiaSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
