Great device, best tech purchase I've made for years!
I moved from a Surface Pro 2017 to this device mostly because I wanted a device with all day battery life and no compromise on power. I wasn't disappointed, this thing is a beast and it just keeps on going. The hardware is second to none, the screen is amazing and the keyboard feels fantastic.
In tablet mode the screen is responsive and the onscreen keyboard works well. I have had absolutely no issues with the screen detach mechanism or the fulcrum hinge.
This is a very solid, well made unit.

10 1909 and so far it's been very good. Photo and video editing is not a problem, as yet I haven't played any games, I'm not really a gamer. I would highly recommend this for anybody who is looking for all day productivity and wants to leave their charger at home.

By far the worst laptop that I have ever owned.
I bought this laptop primarily for photo editing. On paper it sounds great (touch screen, tablet mode...perfect) but in practice it isn't up to the job. It gets hot just watching Netflix. When editing photo's it dramatically overheats and becomes unusable.
Since day 1 I've had a repeat error message relating to faulty USB device (that doesn't exist) that so far 4 Microsoft techs have been unable to fix.
For the money, it's no where near good enough. If you were thinking of switching from Mac (like I did)...don't. On a separate subject, does anybody want to buy a Microsoft Surface Book 2???

Lovely laptop
I bought the surface book 2 a month ago, and I was so in between this laptop and the surface laptop, given the laptop has a sexier look, and much slimmer and lighter. I decided to go with this laptop since its more powerful than the surface laptop.
I was so worried about buying a laptop knowing that all the processing power and the chips are located just on the screen part, and the keyboard is just a keyboard + battery!
Something to note here, is that I didnt try to do any heavy video processing stuff like games.
