I have a new W1 washing machine which I have used no problem approx 10 times. I have gone to used it now and when I turned the dial to select the right setting, a 'Cannot be Changed' message comes up. I have tried turning on/off and looked through the manual but cannot find a solution. Any help? Many thanks!

Is your door locked? If so you can turn machine off a off at power point. At the bottom open the drain door a gently insert a screwdriver a gently pull up. The door will unlock. Page 57 of the manual. Pull open the door. Close the door a machine should continue with the program that you have already put in.

Am I missing something, my W1 skips the spin cycle? It seems that with other washers the selected wash cycle can be interrupted and a "drain-spin" command be introduced. After a completed wash cycle my clothes are still dripping wet.....couldn't possibly be put unto the dryer.

You can't retain in but if you press the stop/start indicator on the display at any time after it's disappeared it will again display the remaining time for a while. I then usually set my kitchen timer so I know when the wash will be finished.

Hi there - I had a new Miele installed yesterday by Miele peeps but the TwinDos is saying it is empty - which obviously it is not! I have tried resetting it several times as per page 22-23 of the manual - but still it is being temperamental and saying it has no powder. First time I have used a Twin Dos system as my last machine was a 20-year-old Whirlpool. Any tips? Thanks - Bec

What is the best replacement liquid detergent for Ultraphase 1 from Woolies/Coles/Aldi? My plan is to stick to Miele's Ultraphase 2 but I want to be able to use my own liquid for ultraphase 1 as I have bought the empty cartridge. Anyone?
Thanks in advance

2 answers
Miz M K
Miz M K

Dear Testergt,
Sorry to inform you but there is no replacement for Miele's Ultraphase 1. Ultraphase 1 and Ultraphase 2 are designed to work together - they are dispensed at various times during the wash cycle.
If you want to use cheap washing liquid for your machine you will need to remove both the Ultraphase 1 and Ultraphase 2 cartridges from the machine and then fill up the replacement containers with the other stuff, following the directions as given in the instruction manual.
You may think that Ultraphase1 and Ultraphase2 are expensive. In the long run they are definitely not as they last a considerable time and you should also bear in mind that they have been specially made for the Miele machines to give the best washing results.
I have a WKH130WPS and use TwinDos all the time (except of course for silks and wool) and would never use any other products but Miele in my machine.
Regards

Mine is Miele Model WWH860, and I don't see it listed. I am in Vancouver, Canada. My TwinDos pair is less than 1 year old. My TwinDos Lights showing Colour or White don't light up any more. I have replaced cartridges twice, and done Mainentance as per Instruction Light ordering me to do so. This time I was not istruted to insert Twin Dos Care cartidge anywhere. It is 1/4 full. I guess I'll order a replacement, ready for that instruction to come on. I find I'm spending far far too much time obeying orders delivered by that lit screen. It's nice to have my detergent automatically dispensed but suddenly it's not asking me whether I have a white load or a coloured. Something's wrong here but I know not what. Help, please?

1 answer
Miele
JoelMiele

Hi Mary, the reason this model is not listed is because this is an Australian Product review website and your model is not available in Australia currently so it's difficult for us to assist you. If something has changed with the program name with whites and coloured then best for a local technician to visit. Note the detergent dosage amount can be adjusted to smaller amounts if this is a concern. Kind regards, Joel.

Shouldn’t the washing always be cold after the final rinse? Our WCE330 often has clothes warm/ hot at the end of the cycle. Final rinses should always be cold, correct?

3 answers

JoelMiele

Hi, the first thing I would be checking, would be to see if the hoses, are correctly fitted to each tap. There has been at times, where the installation has had the taps on the wall configured on the wall, opposite to what they should be. That is in normal circumstances, the ‘cold’ tap is mounted on the right of both taps, hence the ‘hot’ on the left. At times the ‘hot’ has been placed on the right, then the ‘cold’ on the left. Sometimes the little ‘H’ or ‘C’ indicator on each tap has been placed on the wrong tap. If all of the previous seem to be in order, then the W/M’s ‘Water Intake’ setting would need to be checked to see if it has been set to ‘Hot washes & rinses’, rather than ‘cold. This can only be checked by a technician. Please contact us on 1300 464 353 or book a service call using https://www.servicebooking.miele.com.au . Kind regards, Joel.

Miele WCE330 has a single inlet hose only and we are capable of distinguishing hot from cold. A quick read of your manual will explain how the hose works. Suggest a Miele technical representative answer this question.

Also there is no such thing as a ‘Water intake’ setting.
