Not practical
This was quite expensive and more trouble than it's worth really. It's a hassle to put on and hard to get a small baby in there. When its on I constantly worry about bubs in case she can't breathe because it's so snug and deep. This may be better for an older baby although I'm not a very big person and I don't have a great back so I won't be able to carry her around in it as she gets bigger as it will put too much strain on my back.
As handy as any other baby carrier in that you have free arms to do things
Time consuming to put on and get baby in. Expensive. Deep, not great for a small baby.

Bad
dissapointed on the weight it carries, therefore will not attempt to use it and will be returning the product and looking for another one.
loved the jean fabric, and the flexibility of positions you can sit your baby in.
I Just purchased this babysling for my 2 Month old, however upon reading the instructions, i noticed the box states it carries, 15 kgs, however the instructions inside the box state, 12 kgs, so i wont even bother using it, and will be looking for another model.

OK
This is great for short trips to duck in and out of the shops without the hassle of a full harness system or pram. Research suggests slings are better for bubs spinal development (follows natural contours), however I'm not too sure it so great for the adults carrying bubs! You need to consider the use vs cost factor.
Easy and light, bub loves "sitting" in the sling, I think this will be great as she gets bigger and can be worn on 1 hip with the support of the sling
Being a sling worn across the body, this hurt my back and neck when wearing for an hour (and my girl is only small 4.5kg).

I like having the sling in the car so I can pop baby in it when I pop into a shop quickly and he is too hard to carry. It is quick and easy. However, for anything longer than 5 minutes, I would use the Bjorn as it distributes the weight more evenly and feels more sturdy. The adjustable strap is great but makes me nervous as I am worried it will loosen and baby will fall out!
It looks simple and is quick to get the baby in and out in "kangaroo" mode. The strap can be changed to suit different people which is great. The shoulder strap is nice and...Read more
padded and so doesn't cut into your neck. My baby was really comfy in it in kangaroo mode (although it didn't look that comfy to me!) My baby hated the sling as a newborn and was much happier in the Baby Bjorn. He was a 4kg baby and quite big so it all was a bit claustrophobic for him and it was very hot in summer as well. It is great that the sling is adjustable but one time I felt like the strap was slipping and he might fall out. It is not as safe as the Bjorn which feels like my baby won't fall out but I can't say the same for the Mini Monkey.

Excellent
Trust me when your new baby reaches 4-5 weeks and get into the "Unexplained crying" phase... When you can do nothing to stop them crying... the only thing that saved my sanity was my mini monkey sling. It was the only way I could stop her crying. I could get on with some daily activities like going to the clothesline or doing the dishes. Or type a review on ieatwords! Trust me I thought I may have overspent on this item, but I would reccommend a sling of any type to any new parent.. If you value your sanity! Its also good for going where a pram cant go... PRIMARILY pirceless for a crying unsettled baby!
UTTER LIFESAVER
Slightly expensive, but worth every cent... MAybe even double the price is worth it..

We really loved this in the first few weeks but have opted to use our Baby Bjorn from 3 months onwards. The shoulder strap is very comfortable but it you had a bigger baby maybe not. Still I'll be using it again for baby number 2 in the beginning as they look safe and snug.
We bought this as well as a Baby Bjorn - don't know why but just excited parents to be. Our baby was prem so very small when she came home and this was a life saver. We used it whenever we went out to keep bub close and feeling secure but soon she grew out of it and we haven...Read more

OK
Moral of the story is to wait till the baby is born before buying a sling or carrier. I had 3 slings and 1 upright carrier lovingly prepared before his birth, and could have saved myself a lot of money.
Padded shoulder strap
My baby hated the lying down position and refuses to be held in a sling. However, the minute we put him in a Baby Bjorn, he settled.

This really helped to settle my baby during the first two months and worked liked magic once I got her positioned right. Now that she is bigger and able to hold her head up better the Kangaroo position is better. I have a muslin cloth pinned to mine for protection for baby on a sunny day. I used this instead of a pram for the first month and is my preferred choice to a pram when doing short trips.
Using the Banana position for a newborn results in instant sleep - no kidding. Baby loves the Kangaroo position now that she is 3 months old. It's ea...Read more

When I was pregnant I envisioned using this sling all of the time but my baby just didn't like it. However, she has loved the baby bjorn and the ERGO and both of these were alot more comfortable for the carrier than this sling. Having said that, I think it does depend on the baby: ours is very active and never one to love being held, instead she liked the upright positions of the other carriers. Probably better to try and borrow one before spending the money. I think there are also baby slings with better shoulder padding that this one.

Would not recommend this product for newborns, may get better when she is larger and can fit in the hip position
Like the choice of colours and the fabric and the padded sholders. Cheaper than most slings for around $70.
My baby was happy in this when I took her home from the hospital but after 2 months she just hated it. She screams when I put her in it as there is way to much fabric and she gets a bit lost. She doesnt look very comfy.

Quick and easy once you get the hang of it, great for babys that love a cuddle and being wrapped. Would be a good idea to start using from a very young age as my lil one likes to look around and in the banana position thats not possible. Happy with product all though considering the hug a bub for the extra support.
Easy to put on, adjustable so my partner can wear it and lots of different positions fpr wearing it. Can breast feed discreetly.
As i had a larger newborn i find after wearing it awhile my shoulder gets sore, also my bubs is very long so his legs are a bit cramped in banana position.

I purchased this product from a baby store sale. The item that I purchased has three other small straps with plastic clips. I can't see them on any of the images I've found and can't figure out what they're for. Does anybody know?
