Beautiful & easy to use fridge!
Wow we are so impressed with our new Mitsubishi fridge. We originally went with Mitsubishi because of the great ratings on product review & we have not been disappointed. It’s spacious inside but small on he outside which is great for fitting into apartment. The different compartments impress the inner OCD in me & the service we got from Harvey Norman in Ryde was flawless.

So efficient, quiet and beautiful
I did months of research for the perfect fridge. Signed up for choice magazine and scoured reviews everywhere. Unfortunately Mitsubishi wasn't even tested by choice, but a chance question to Hans at Camberwell Electrics had me looking at the Mitsubishi ones.
So impressed with the energy ratings and looks. They are a completely different look to all the others on the market. The front looks like glass over whitewashed wood. Just beautiful! I didn't want to be swayed by just looks though. I was after a fridge to work well.

So good and so compact for the interior size
Super quiet, great freezer storage, love the smart ice cube maker that doesn't take up half the fridge space. And it's super good looking. The part freeze drawer is so handy for meat bought that you don't want to freeze completely but want to last longer. Great idea. Huge advantage is the fact that

Expensive- but worth it.
We had the same workhorse Westinghouse for 10 years. When the door broke for the third time, we decided to just get a new fridge. I started doing some online research and it seemed everyone hated the fridge they bought, until I found this one. People were ecstatic about it. Saying things like, 'if given the choice between my kid and my fridge, I'd have to think about it.' Why do they love it so much? Because it does so much, and it does it well.
First off, the multi door design is great, as you don't have to open the whole fridge to ge...Read more
t what you need. If you need a cold drink, pull open just one door. We eat a lot of fruit and veg, and I love having a whole huge compartment just for that. If my child needs an apple, she can just pull out that drawer, the handy top shelf has the apples prominently displayed, she can take it and go, rather than standing there with the door wide open while she's digging around trying to find what she wants. The versa drawer is cool too, mostly we use it for our pet food, we have 2 cats and 2 dogs who all eat fresh meat twice daily, so it's great to have a space just for them. And we also love the little ice drawer and the easy to clean ice making system, which we fill with water filtered at the sink. No messing around with internal plumbing and filters. The main compartment is organised really well, I love the big central drawer which we use for butter and cheese (we love our cheese and will have 6 or so blocks on the go at any time). The super chilled drawer is also great, it keeps meat fresh for much longer- I've especially noticed this with the natural ham I buy which used to go off in a few days, while now it lasts at least a week. There is great storage in the doors too, for the things we use frequently. Also important to us was the use of space. We have a tiny kitchen and the thin walls of this fridge meant we could fit A LOT more storage in the same size space as our old fridge. And it looks great too! We have a rustic country farm kitchen so I was originally drawn to the retro style fridges, but even though this one looks quite modern it somehow works. It looks different from other fridges out there. The front is glass, so it isn't magnetic, which I like as our old fridge used to get so cluttered with pictures, school notices, receipts etc that seemed to stay up there forever. However, the sides are magnetic, so we can still have the school canteen menu and other things kept handy. Obviously, if your fridge is built in, this won't help you. Yes, it is a lot more expensive than other fridges out there, but how frequently are you going to do this? Averaged over 15 years or whatever, the impact won't be huge. I don't often love appliances, but this one is pretty special. A new acquaintance stopped by the other day, and noticed the fridge through the window. 'Oh! I have the same one!' she said in a hushed, reverent tone. We gave each other a look that said, 'Yes. Yes, I know how you feel.'Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

If a fridge could be classed as beautiful then this is the one!
Have had this new fridge now for around 3 months. Did a lot of research before the purchase after we first viewed it in store. Cannot fault a thing with this fridge. The glass panels on the front not only make it look good but super easy to clean. It's so quite I don't even think we have heard it in our open plan kitchen and living area. The different compartments and drawers took a little bit of getting used to, but now I wouldn't be without them. The ability to adjust the temperature across all of the apartments makes a big difference in powe...Read more
r usage. One of the original reasons we were interested in this fridge was the low energy usage, it's easy to see why it's can achieve this as you only have to open the section you need and setting the appropriate temps across the compartments. Fruit and Veg compartment is amazing, recently put a whole fresh pineapple in the bottom drawer and forgot about it, after a few weeks I remembered it was in there... dreading the mess I imagined it may have turned into I was totally shocked when I took it out and it was still perfect! The doors are so nice to open and close, you know they are sealed when you close them, they just feel good :) I'm super happy would have to say it's been the best appliance purchase I have ever made. Backed with a 5 year warranty and a 10 year warranty on the inventor I highly recommend that anyone looking at this fridge doesn't look twice, you won't regret it.Similar opinion? Finally, the perfect fridge...
Finally, a perfectly designed fridge. Its not only a piece of art and so looks good, its so functional its a design masterpiece. You can see pretty much everything in the fridge the moment you open a door or drawer. Where to start? Price - its not the cheapest fridge on the market but its the best fridge I could find by far so IMO its really worth the money. But you do need to shop around for the best price as it varied by hundreds of dollars. (In SA the best price I could find was at the Harvey Norman Factory Outlet on South Road). ...Read more
It has a 3 .5 star energy rating which is great for a fridge. It has a good looking glass exterior front and really cool 'touch button' settings in the front LH door. Its so quiet I have to put my ear to it to hear if its actually on, which is great in an open plan kitchen The white glass front disguises finger marks well, unlike stainless steel (which I think has become a bit ho hum). The drawers are designed with shallow drawers within them so you don't lose small items and discover them months later. The ice maker doesn't have to be plumbed in and works really well. The Versa Drawer can be used for what I call 'light freezing', from hot freezing or normal freezing but I've yet to play around with it. The french doors fridge part is really well set out with glass shelves (not brittle plastic!) which push in to allow for taller items. It also has some shallow super cool drawers which I'm using for cheeses and processed meats. While I haven't had to clean it yet, it looks to be well segmented so parts are easy to remove without too many difficult-to-clean bits. I genuinely can't think of anything I would change. Never realised you could 'fall in love' with a fridge - until now. Update: OK I've had this fridge for just over 7 seven months. And I think its even better than I previously thought. I'm constantly amazed at how well designed and thought out this fridge is - and the drawers work just so well - I don't 'lose' stuff in the fridge anymore (and find it withered and dired up months later). The non-plumbed ice maker works really really well - and has been wonderful over the hot summer months. Still really pleased with the white glass doors and the layout. The only minor change I would like to see is the freezer a bit bigger and the veggie drawer a little smaller - but its not a big deal. A great fridge which will last me for years and years. They don't get much better than this.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Hi there,
It is a freezer drawer so only if you are freezing the veggies. It can be changed to soft freeze for things that you will use sooner and want to defrost quickly or it can be used as a standard freezer. We use ours in hot freeze mode to freeze food that we have just cooked and want to store in containers (kids meals, lunches etc). I don’t think you can make it into a fridge temperature drawer but the fruit and veggies drawer at the bottom is huge anyway and then I tend to use the compartment wrhin the fridge for fruit as well so there is heaps of space. I hope that helps! It is an awesome fridge.
I haven't used it for that. I haven't got the manual handy but I'm pretty sure it would be too cold for veg. It's really great drawer for storing frozen things you access a lot as it is at hip height and saves opening the lower larger drawer.
OK thanks for reply kelly m I will take into consideration.

We have this fridge and absolutely love but..... for some reason we are not getting the longevity of our fruit and veg. Things are going off quicker than our previous fridge. Read the instructions and can’t see what we could be doing. Any suggestions?

Hi there! Hmm I don’t think we’ve had any problems with our fruit and veg going off except the usual suspects such as lettuce etc. I’m sorry I don’t have a good answer except that if I was having this problem I would turn to google & see if anyone else has had a similar problem & has managed to figure it out. So sorry I can’t be of more help.
I have also found things not keeping as well as when I first got the fridge. I came to the conclusion that it is just because it is summer and the fruit and veg are probably a little more ripe or stressed before they make it to the fridge in the first place. Very ripe produce gives off gasses that accelerate the ripening and deterioration of the other things. I have mostly overcome this by packing fragile things into Pyrex containers and sometimes plastic. I'm still getting most things lasting a week or more by making sure they are wrapped separately.
Hope that helps. :)
