Doesn't last
WARNING: ice maker on the fridge is not reliable. Mine is currently freezing up with 30 days Samsung currently has a class action pending and is delaying any settlement for defect. I originally bought this fridge and it made loud popping noises like gunshots. It was confirmed that a compressor was faulty which a repairer had to REWELD a new one.

Modern & Feature Packed Fridge
We bought this Samsung fridge with our new house about 2 weeks ago and we have to say we absolutely love it. The machine comes with an enormous 719L capacity, more than a third bigger than our previous fridge, and we thought that was big! If you are thinking of buying this fridge, make sure you have the space as it is a very big fridge. It comes in a beautiful stainless steel finish. The lack of handles in favour for hidden spaces to open the doors provides an extremely minimalist and modern look, and helps to reduce fingerprints on the fridge....Read more
This fridge features Samsung's 'Triple Metal Cooling' technology which creates the ideal temperature within the fridge and freezer correct to 1 degree, any changes to in temperature to the fridge or freezer done by the user will be seen instantaneously thanks to this technology. For perfect storage of fruit and vegetables, two drawers for these are available, and even feature custom humidity controls to create the ideal micro climate. A highly useful cold filtered water & ice dispenser really make drinking beverages a joy, and I don't know how we lived without it! A selection of cubed or crushed ice is available. The fridge is more customise-able than other ones on the market, with its 4 door design, the bottom right of the fridge can be customised to meet your needs, it can be made to be a freezer with the one next to it, another fridge compartment, a drink chiller or a place for storing meats and fish, but not at freezer temperatures. Individual shelves and boxes are very easy to slot in the fridge and remove for cleaning which makes maintenance fairly easy. The fridge makes barely any noise when normally operating, apart from when ice is dispensed into the ice storage area. Touch on metal sensor buttons allow for easy and intuitive control. With these controls you can turn the ice dispenser on or off, or change the type of ice, change the fridge/freezer temperature, among other things. Maintenance of this fridge really only consist of changing the fridge filter once a year. Reliability of this fridge comes into question for me personally, only because I have not owned Samsung appliances in the past, but they are a big fridge manufacturer so I'm sure this fridge will last myself, and anybody else a long time. Actual build quality is more than adequate. Overall, if your looking for a premium, feature packed fridge, I would highly recommend this fridge forPurchased in January 2021 at The Good Guys for $3,500.00.

GREAT FRIDGE
Purchased 3 years ago on a eofy sale. It's great, however over time the French door design has waned. Over filling the fridge with food does happen and compartmentalizing sometimes is more of a hindrance than having open shelf space (IE having a lot of 2L milk/juice bottles) the fridge has a slightly strange softening mechanism whenclosing so you can never fully preempt the amount of force you need to give it to shut. For example you would not be able to shut the door unless you slammed it very hard, you would have to have constant contact with the door handle to close. In the 4 years owned, Ive changed the water filter once.

Good but could be better.
I bought this fridge for its 4 door design. The four positives I'll mention are it runs very quiet, it has great led lighting, the filter is easy to change, and the ability to have the fourth door as a fridge or freezer works well. It does have some improvements it could make though. 1 - it shows fingerprints on the doors. 2 - Its shelves are not spill proof. For example I spilt a bit of milk on top and it got all the way down under the bottom drawers. These drawers are also very difficult to remove. 3 - Ice machine is a little bulky and also t...Read more
akes up a lot of space inside the door. 4 - The way the water dispenser angles the water in towards the fridge and not straight down I find filling up large water bottles difficult and often spill water every where.Purchased in July 2021 at Harvey Norman.

Fantastic Fridge
We have had this fridge for close to a year now and I couldn't be happier. It has fantastic and adjustable storage which easily fits in all our food from a fortnightly shop with spare room. The water/ice dispenser is super easy to use and the kids are now drinking more water. The food stays super fresh in the crisper and I have how the fridge can accommodate large container/platters

Don't ever buy Samsung Fridge with ice dispenser!! terrible product and terrible service
It is a terrible product. (I didn't buy this particular product but bought a Samsung fridge with ice/water dispenser) Exactly same thing (described by BoM) happened to me, literally after 6months of using this fridge. It started with one bubble around the ice dispenser and got really worse over last couple of years. I made a complaint to Samsung too late and their customer service was terrible. How can this kind of change be customer's fault and refuse to fix it. I think they really should be embarrassed with the quality of the product.. Don't ever buy Samsung Fridge especially with ice dispenser!!

Don't touch this fridge!!! Beware!!!
Purchased this fridge last June. It is literally corroding away around the ice and water dispenser. Large bubbles are forming all around this section of the fridge. I have tried making contact with Samsung (they have now been sent photos) with the response of: Moisture in our house causing it and corrosive cleaning products being used. Not sure how this assessment can be made when nobody has looked at the fridge. All of which is untrue and excuses from Samsung. I have now escalated the complaint with another email. It's A Design Fault
I love the option of having 2 freezers or 1 freezer and an extra fridge space, which is the way I use the fridge.
But this fridge is not without its issues. It is well built but I had to give it a bad review because of the issues. The drawers for vegetables are too hard to remove from the fridge to clean them as the doors won't open wide enough to get them out.
BUT the big issue is with the ice maker. I travel a bit so am away for weeks at a time so that while I'm away the ice maker freezes over and on my return it won't work. Having read re...Read more
views here and overseas this is a major problem with Samsung fridges. I have had 2 service calls in 12 months for the same issue. The first time a mechanism in the ice maker was replaced and now the computer has been replaced. This time it took the serviceman over 20 minutes to steam the ice loose so that he could open the ice maker as it had completely frozen over! No wonder I couldn't get it to to open... Here's hoping this works because if it doesn't I expect a new working fridge from Samsung.Purchased in May 2021 for $3,600.00.

SAMSUNG DONT CARE
I have had problems with my Samsung french door fridge for 2 years now. Samsung promised to repair it and put me onto a local company RQ in Melbourne who said they would fix it. They changed parts of the ice maker but it still ices up in back of the fridge. The fridge is very cold and vegetables freeze up. I would not touch a Samsung fridge again, beware if buying, Samsung just don't care. Im taking this to court and am suggesting a class action - please get in touch if you wish to join. There is something seriously wrong with this fridge

Ice maker faulty Samsung don’t care.
Ice maker broke within 12 months was told they would fix it and if it broke again offer a refund. 4 weeks later and two goes at fixing it broken again. Repairer informed it was a design fault and all Samsung fridges with ice makers so I asked for refund. Samsung refusing to refund now want a forth go at fixing it and claim they will not refund me just keep fixing. Fridge work ok but I paided for a fridge with a ice maker not to keep taking days off work to have someone have a go at fixing a 12month old fridge.
Purchased in January 2021 for $3,300.00.

Yes, you will be happy with this fridge
Not every family needs a double door fridge with icemaker but for us it makes a difference. Icemaker works fine, we haven't had any trouble with it. Only thing I wish is the tubs in the freezer were shaped a bit better for stacking food

Really good fridge
This fridge is very reliable and has 1 shelf that will open for your taller items. The main negative is there is no build in lock function so my 2 year old just opens the freezer doors and helps himself all the time and it's such a pretty fridge would be nice to have a lock full action instead of using ugly stick on child locks.

Good fridge- hopeless ice maker
Really wanted this fridge and saved for a long time. For $4k it’s not worth the outlay when it does the same things a fridge half the price would do. The ice maker after one year started freezing up and has done so for the past year every month. We have to used a hairdryer every time now to thaw the inside mechanism and then it works for a little while and then all happens again. We run the fridge at the recommended temp so I have no idea why. Great big space inside but heaps of wasted space. When I emptied my last tiny fridge contents into this one, I filled it to the max straight up!! Heaps of room to wave a wand inside but ....???

Great Fridge.
This was an upgrade from our old fridge and is much bigger and better equipped. No complaints at this stage and off to a good start. Cools well and quickly and maintains a good stable temperature. The freezer is stable and works well also and has plenty of room compared to our old one

Disappointment
Let me first say that I love this refrigerator. Has enough room for everything. It is a counter depth refrigerator so it fit right where we needed it to be...but....as with others that I see on the reviews, our ice cube freezer ices up and we have to defrost it. I had a protection plan and they came to fix it, but it happened again 1 month after repair. My plan had ended so there will be no new fixing, which doesn't seem to help anyway. Today I was going to reach out to Samsung but I can see by the other reviews that this is a wasted effort as Samsung does not seem to care. Shame on you Samsung that you continue to sell your product but don't fix an issue that many owners are experiencing.

RFRD719L BLK Fridge is great but not the service (that's a joke!!!)
We're happy with the fridge performance and it gets lots of positive comments about it's looks but the door has since purchase made a horrible noise (like a weird bird squeaking is how I'd best describe it). Purchased from Winnings who graciously offered to call for a service on our behalf, missed a call from Samsung on my mobile around a week later then when I rang them back I spent around 30 minutes on the phone to try to book a service call in without my serial number (which I didn't take to work with me). It was almost impossible but after...Read more
so much time I didn't want to have to call back again so insisted on speaking to a supervisor and finally they booked a service call. Samsung management must be hard to work for, the poor guys in the service department tried very hard to get me to almost analyse what I could do to the fridge doors to fix the problem myself without a service call. Questions like "Do the doors align at the top?" "Have you tried to find out if the seal is properly installed" were asked. I told them that I work (which surprised them that I couldn't dedicate a whole day to the fridge repair), it's important I work to help pay for the fridge and the food in it I suggested. Anyway, I hope the repair will go smoothly, there's even a printed piece of paper I have to sign to give them before they will touch the fridge (so they get paid for their repair I suppose). All this took ages to organise and I was left wondering is this nice looking fridge all worthwhile? P.S. When I use the icemaker I have to be careful it doesn't spit ice shavings all over the floor by covering the front of the container the ice goes into but apart from that we have been using it for around 9 months and are happy with the performance of the fridge and the internal configeration suits us too.Similar opinion? I bought a fridge on Sunday 13th Oct. delivered and installed. After 2 days we noticed it wasn't very cold. ice creams also soft. We changed the fridge to 2deg and freezer to -20deg.
no difference. We spoke to the retailer, they said to turn it off and back on in 30mins. We tried this with no success. I opted to contact Samsung, they were initally good. turned up, Samsung car, Samsung shirt and polite, inspected the fridge. Within 30 minutes he say's the evaporator needs to be replaced and told us its only a week old, "Im going to replace the fridge" I received a text message within an hour of the tech visit, stating the issue has been escalated and a case manager will discuss the matter with me. no contact was made, I called the number and reference the following afternoon, all to be told they'll be in contact on Monday or Tuesday. 5 days after tech visit, no refrigerator for a household of 5. I ring Monday to be served by someone that had 2 woreful options, 'repair the fridge and have a voucher' or 'replace the fridge between 7 - 21 days' I can assure you I paid for the fridge and it was delivered and installed in 12 hours. I am in dismay now, and have no further directions from support, we want it resolved.

We bought a Samsung DLS 719 and have some mould in the fridge crispers but can’t seem to work out how to pull them apart as you can’t get to the mould as food gets stuck under it. Is there a way to pull them apart? Or can you order new ones.....

I would unplug the refrigerator and spray bleach on the mold. Let it sit and then get a water spray and spray it with h20. The mold should just come off.

Hi Jessica, thank you for reaching out to us. If you refer to Page 38 of your user manual you will be able to run through step b step in removing the refrigerator accessories.
Please note, as per the user manual of cleaning the fridge;
• Do not use benzene, thinner, Clorox, or car detergent to clean the refrigerator. They can damage the surface of the appliance and may cause a fire.
• Do not spray the refrigerator with water while it is plugged in, This can cause an electric shock.
