Great Purchase
We’ve had this fridge for a little while now, and are extremely pleased with the purchase... It is so quiet you’ve actually got to put your ear up to the fridge to hear it, I thought we’d bought a dud originally.. Non-plumbed ice-make works a treat, fantastic... Easy to use, easy to keep clean and very stable temperatures... Can’t praise it enough.. If you’re in the market for a very good product, look no further........

Don't be fooled by gadgets and chrome trims
It all started with our old Maytag twin door 800l fridge losing the battle against old age after 15 years. So we had to find a new fridge started on web looking for honest reviews which are hard to find. The obvious choices Samsung, LG as they seem to fill the stores and offer great discounts. We wanted a reliable fridge maybe losing some features. Then we found the Mitsubshi, it lacked the ice and water through the door like our old Maytag but I can tell you that is the first thing that will fail. Mitsubishi new that so they dropped that featu...Read more
re from their line...braves move, smart boys. The ice maker on this model is on the inside, it has a compartment that you fill like the washer bottle in your car. Maybe an optional plumbed line would be a nice trouble free feature improvement here. The fridge is beautifully built glass front over a painted surface, looks great and should be very durable, finger marks don't show on our silver model. Fridge runs almost silent and the compressor on this fridge is made by Mitsubshi the master of refrigeration having owned several AC units from different manufacturers over many years Mitsubishi are the leaders by far. Do your home work, the other manufactures only over 1-2 years on their fridges Mitsubishi offer 5 years on their entire fridge, now that's tells you something...they believe in their product and stand behind it for 5 years, and 10 years on the the compressor. This fridge doesn't have funky door in door ...please really why more trouble, or water and ice through the door more trouble. If you like the strong good looking silent type this the fridge. I will update this review in 1-2 years of ownership, but I have no doubt my opinion won't change.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best fridge on the Planet!
We've had this amazing fridge for 14 mths now. Can't stop loving it! Very quiet operation, ice maker is quite effective and pumps out heaps of ice (so long as you remember to fill the tray...), keeps foodstuffs/drinks super cool and we are just using the default settings it came with as the recommended temps are in spec to what a fridge should be running at (checked with a fridge thermometer). One tiny issue is that the reflective black does show up the finger marks and strangers can't work out where to open the main doors from - this leads to more finger marks as they fumble around. But, it's easily cleaned with a bit of glass spray so not a real issue.

First one had to be replaced, but second one is fine (except the ice maker)
We bought a display unit from Second's World off the show room floor (none in inventory and we needed a new fridge, fast). It worked fine for a year, but then the ice unit quit working properly. The ice would take an extremely long time to make and produced misshapen ice cubes. Several repair visits didn't fix it and eventually, it quit making ice no matter how long we waited. Mitsubishi ended up replacing it with a new fridge as the only thing that wasn't replaced was the compressor which isn't a field replaceable item. The fridge has wor...Read more
ked fine since replacement. We didn't use the ice maker for a few months (had a bag of ice in the freezer) and I tried it out recently. It worked, but the Ecostar rating that the fridge uses went from the maximum of 3 stars to 2 stars. This was the same issue we had originally with our defective fridge, with only one Ecostar showing after the ice unit stopped working. I ended up turning off the ice making feature on the new fridge and after a couple of days, the Ecostar returned to 3 stars. Seems as though using the ice maker may make the fridge less efficient which was one of the main reasons we bought this particular fridge: it's energy rating was excellent...on the advertising. It appears that using the fridge as it was intended to be used, with a functioning ice maker, may make it less energy efficient than what has been advertised. We've now stopped using the ice maker again, which was another feature that we had purchased this unit for: unplumbed ice making capabilities. It's a good fridge otherwise and other than the ice maker, would recommend it. Also our quarterly electricity bill was reduced substantially as a result of switching from our old energy inefficient fridge to the Mitsubishi. And kudos to Mitsubishi for replacing the entire fridge with a brand new unit without any issues. Great service, thank you Mitsubishi.Purchased in November 2021 at 2nds World Physical store for $3,975.00.

Delighted with this Frig
Our Amana 710L side by side frig/freezer finally karked it after 22 years of faithful service. We chose this frig because of -
*Dimensions - It would fit into the existing cupboards frig recess, as well as though the door access to the house. (Yes, minor cupboard alteration only required)
*It was of sturdy (not flimsy) interior construction that could stand up to the knocks day to day family use. (Yes, although would prefer if chilled (meat) trays were a more sturdy)
*Was easy accessible interior layout. (Yes, much better than the old frig.)

Excellent fridge
We bought this fridge recently (Aug/2019) for our new home. The fridge is quiet, has multiple different temperature zones. The ice maker does not require plumbing. Overall we are very happy with the purchase.

Best fridge in its league
Two things we don’t like, it does not have soft close, when you close the door you have to close it gently. When door is open to load foods, it beeps too fast to remind you to close the door. However, it’s just two very minor inconvenience things that my partner and I can both live with it and we still love the fridge.

Everyone should own this fridge
I bought one these fridges about 2 years ago after doing a lot of research, and just recently convinced my mother in law to buy one -- no regrets!
My favourite feature would be the massive veggie draw - I'm a vegetarian so suits perfectly :) or you can put whatever in it. Great for storing large things like cakes or medications that need to be refrigerated, etc. The door compartments are really generous, freezer surprisingly roomy, excellent energy rating.

door, but a rep came out and fixed it (they removed a sliver of the rubber seal that was holding the flap ajar). Her fridge is silver, I didn't have any issues with the door in the black version. Perhaps some kind of manufacturing issue? Hopefully Mitsubishi has rectified this as I understand it's been a common problem. Pros Glass panel - no worries about denting the front panel (this was a concern for me due to moving house often). Veggie draw! Now this is a Fridge!
So grateful we did our research as we would never have considered the Brand. WOW.... the tech is awesome and the warranty unbeatable! As for performance, this is as good as and at times better, than many commercial fridges (and I have commercial kitchen experience). The ONLY gripe is the degree of main shelf flexibility but we have over come this after a few months. The multiple freezer drawers are sensational! The in-door or rather on-front-of-door hidden display is amazing! As is the the range and degree of functions, ALL accessible fro...Read more

Best Fridge I have had.
The French doors make it easy to see all in the fridge.
The vegetable drawer keeps the vegetables really fresh for longer than any other fridge that I have had.
The meat compartment is a very smart idea and also keeps meat fresh longer. Also a great sized freezer.
Love the glass doors they look really smart and goes in well with the rest of my kitchen.
This fridge is the same campacity 630 litres as other brands I have purchased but this fridge is more compact and sleek not as bulky which is a great feature.

Love this fridge in spite of common door issue
Looks fantastic, easy to clean, huge veg drawer at the perfect height and freezer drawer on the bottom, veg lasts longer than any fridge I’ve ever had, perfect...
Developed issue of flap (for sealing doors) flipping open when left door only opened...doesn’t do it if right door already open so it appears the right door interferes with the opening of the left and pulls the seal into its closed position...Mitsubishi sent someone who changed out the left door seal arm/spring but it’s also doing it so maybe a design fault requiring as others say both doors to be opened...I noticed if you are really soft and gentle you can get away with it but most people don’t open a fridge door that way
I love it anyway

Love it, love it, love it.
What a fabulous appliance. To those of you who didn't learn straight up the "trick" to opening the doors. Sorry. Both left and right must be opened using the ridge at the bottom of the doors. So much room, so many drawers, plenty of lighting to see what you have in it, and the ice-maker! What more could you want? I just love it and recommend it highly. Lucky enough to only pay $2,699 on special.

Excellent Refrigerator/Freezer
First off, I need to respond to a couple of other reviewers here. Specifically samuel s. and Judi. It sounds like you are both doing what my wife and I initially instinctively did, opening the right-hand door (correctly using the finger channel underneath) and then opening the left door by grabbing hold of the vertical side which includes the white plastic centre divider. Doing this, one tends to pull it open (Flat), requiring you to force it back flat. Instead ALWAYS open both doors from underneath using the hidden finger channel ON BOTH doors...Read more
. Readers here will guess you both will have worked this out by now, but a tip/warning for others looking to buy this excellent fridge freezer. It is not a fault of the the fridge. It's a user fault! Now onto my review. This is an almost perfect refrigerator. Mitsubishi are up there as one of the best air conditioning manufacturers in the world today, so they know something about cooling stuff. This is a well designed fridge/freezer. The outside is very different to other brands with the lack of visible handles, glass front (which you can draw on with marker pen. Very handy for note to the family or reminders to buy milk, butter, etc) and the general sleek minimalist look. The display is hidden in the left-hand side of the front panel and lights up when you press your finger on a subtle graphic. Gosh, even the Mitsubishi Electric Inverter logo is minimalist compared to other fridges. Nice one Mitsubishi! We opted for the silver version btw. The super chiller is a neat function that extends the life of fish, meats, cheeses, etc by lowering the temp. The ice maker works great and is simple to use. They even thought of including a little rubber mat so the ice cubes don't clatter and make a noise when being produced. Nice touch that. As others have mentioned, some of the tray plastics feel a little flimsy, which lets, what otherwise is a great fridge, down a little. The lighting is bright. The veg crisper and freezer compartments are adequate and keep produce frozen and fresh. Not sure about Mitsubishi's claim the yellow veggie light adds Vitamin C and keeps the veggies fresher for longer. Mmmmm. Last but not least, Mitsubishi's designers thoughtfully included hard square 'feet socks' to cover the front feet adjusters. A nice touch that tops off the square minimalist look. Lovely.Purchased in December 2021 for $2,599.00.

Great fridge after issue resolved.
First thing I noticed with my new fridge was the left hand door white plastic arm flinging out and not returning back in when closing the door which resulted in it smashing on the right hand door. Reached out to Mitsubishi after a month of visitors coming over and smashing the doors together which resulted in someone coming over and replacing a small spring in the left hand door. This didn’t fix the issue. Called again and someone was there within two weeks to replace the whole plastic arm brand new. I no longer have the issue but have a small ...Read more
amount of damage (scratches) on the right hand door which is disappointing but happy it’s fixed. The fridge overall is great, love the ice dispenser, love the vege drawer and the spacious freezer. Would be 5/5 stars if it wasn’t for the issue with the door.Purchased in August 2021.

Out of the box and display is not working
Just bought this product and turned it on. Display stays on and doesnt respond to anything (its not child locked). Very dissapointing considering the amount of money I've paid for it. Will return and go to a different brand.

Top fridge
Glass finish is very nice & easy to wipe down. Internal lighting is excellent. Maintains perfect temperature in all compartments. Easy to use touch screen on door. Very very quiet. Vege drawer is so easy to access spacious & keeps veges fresh..especialy love this. Plenty of space in all compartments. Love the separate chill & cooler drawers for keeping meat or cheese etc extra cool. Only complaint is these lightweight chill & cooler drawers could have improved slide open action. Icemaker works a treat. Overall very happy with our new fridge.

Great fridge except for flimsy plastic parts
This fridge is great. Plenty of space for family of 5 (we did already have a separate chest freezer). We have noticed a difference in our power bill due to it's efficiency over our old fridge despite this one being much larger. The semi-auto ice maker is great and takes up very minimal space. Food is kept at the right temp and it seems to be even throughout the fridge space. Very easy to organise and rearrange if needing to fit large platters etc. Separate vegie drawer is sturdy and great. Kids get free range in there if hungry so they are eati...Read more
ng healthier. So why only 4 stars? Despite all that's great above they went cheap on the flimsy plasticy chiller drawers, cheese shelf flap and leg covers. One of the leg covers never fitted properly from day 1 (this I don't really care about). The cheese shelf flap has broken already (this is really annoying and will need to be replaced). Despite this, overall happy with purchase. We got it for a really great price, best looking fridge in it's price range, runs well, efficient and quiet.Similar opinion? It is so great. I love it
Very Happy with this purchase, This replaced another one that bit the dust. I have this outside in FL under a large awning by pool and it keeps everything including storage in door ice cold at half setting. It is kept high and dry but outside in heat. No freezer and plenty storage with adjustable glass shelves which is decent for bottle and can storage. Shipped fast and I was impressed with packaging albiet lots of packaging trash but well done

A bit frustrated
I bought this fridge for the separate vege drawer as I have this version in the single size fridge/freezer and I love that aspect. Only problem I have is the left hand door of the fridge plastic seal in the middle of the door needs to be manually pushed back in before the door can shut. Appears to be a design fault and as I am left handed I prefer to open the left hand side.

Curious about the ice maker, is it sealed off from the rest of the freezer or does the ice taste like freezer food?
4 answers
Hi, the ice doesn't taste like freezer food even though it's situated in the same freezer compartment. There are ice tray and vegetables tray on the top drawer and underneath is room for more frozen food.
We're very satisfied with the ice cube produced from the water tank provided, they looked just like the ice from the ice maker machine.
The ice is kept in its own separate drawer compartment which can be accessed without opening the main fridge doors. It is separated from all of the other compartments so never had any issues with the ice being tainted with other smells.
Thanks for the reply, we have a Westinghouse that is not sealed off and the ice is disgusting. Everything else is what I like so I'm good to go with getting one of these fridges :)

How much clearance should you allow to fit fridge into a cavity
2 answers
As a minimum you want 50mm or 2 inches each side but the question is how much room do you have in front of the fridge to get it into the alcove?
We have the same fridge and we have around 200mm each side and 450 on top...better air flow, better heat release from motors etc
Thanks for replying. It should fit in cavity
