As a general rule, Mitsu recommends every 5 years or 100,000 km for engines with cam belts.

Hello there, I have a 2012 ZH. My question is, when I turn the car off and have not put it in park, I can take the keys out of the ignition whether it's in drive or neutral, is this a fault?

I'm not a mechanic but I'd assume this is a fault as I just checked on my car and the key can't be removed unless it is in park...suggest you take it in for a check up.

Hi :)
I'm looking at purchasing the Mitsubishi Outlander 2009-2011 model. I was wanting the 2wd outlander because I'm not going to use the 4wd function but there are really not many around in my budget ($10,000-$12,8000)
So... My only option is getting the outlander with the 2wd and 4wd option, I understand that this could be costly in servicing but my boyfriend is a mechanic so it doesn't bother me too much.
My question is, if I were to get the 2wd/4wd outlander, but only use the 2wd function, will it still perform like the 2wd only model, or is there a noticeable difference?
Thank you

better late than never.... no difference. It's brilliant for wet weather around town and on dirt roads. I'll never go back to 2WD only.

I have a strange intermittent grinding sound coming from roughly the fornt LH/s when i am driving very slowly in the middle of town. It only lasts a few seconds and then it is gone again. I'm puzzled and confused by this noise.
Other than that, it drives well (always in 4wd), and there are no other signs or strange things happening, only that grinding sound....
It is a Mitsubishi Outlander MY09 vrx V6 and CVT transmission.
Would appreciate and sound advice on this issue?

Kind Regards,
Mick

Could it be the CV joint in the front wheel? I only drive mine in front wheel drive usually and use 4 when necessary. Just completed a 6000km journey with no problems and used 4 W twice while away.
Cheers.
