Mojiko Deluxe Smoker Oven

Followed the instructions on the box with great result the first time I used the smoker. No problems with out of control flames (perhaps some users overfilled the fuel pans). A couple of tips. Open the fuel pan vents fully to get the burners started more easily. Perhaps oil the grill so the fish/meat doesn't stick to it. I set up the smoker on a concrete patio floor outside the house, lit it up and walked away for the 20 to 25 minutes it took for the fuel to burn out completely. Result: tasty smoked fish. I'm hooked!

Read instructions, put in the chips and lit the burners.
PROBLEM, the flames extended well beyond base, lashing up on the devices sides.
Soaking required to clean after uncontrolled heat

A good compact, $$$ budget unit but for a first timer dangerous!
The burners just took off in flames

Beware you cannot turn off burners as they remain alight even with burner vents closed and closure cap placed on top to snuff out.
You cannot alter the burning flame without removing the oven off the burner tray, and where do you put the oven to do so. I put it on a thick chopping board to try and adjust the flames which were so high they were coming out the side vents. I promptly burnt the board as the oven gets so hot. But to pick up the smoker oven off the grill tray you have to be very wary not to get burnt with flames shooting everywhere...
