Ornamental kettle
A stunning looking kettle, but lacks practical design and modern features that would make it a great kettle. It has no spout making pouring very awkward, the water kind of just spills out of a crack in the lid. It is difficult to fill, either through the crack in the top - and water pools on top of the concave lid, or by yanking the lid out first (which is a two handed operation) and resting the lid somewhere so you can use your free hand to operate the tap. and. The window to view the water level is hidden behind the handle and is difficult to see, and it only contains two measurements "3 cups" and "5 cups", no millilitres or other cup levels - yikes! It is much louder than other decent kettles (when the water begins boiling), has no audible indicator of when it has finished boiling, and feels like older/cheaper technology than the price would suggest. You're really paying for a nice kitchen ornament, because if you really love a kettle, and need to use one frequently, the striking wood trim doesn't offset the lacklustre performance of this appliance. I based my purchase on the high rating on this website and I feel quite let down by that, I hope it breaks soon like a few have reported so I can go back to a Breville.

Love!
My home is mainly scandi themed and it’s an open living planning so my kitchen is very visible, my kettle was the main thing that looked off with my decor! After finding this kettle I just couldn’t see my kitchen without it! It fit right in ~ no problems with it whatsoever

Strong Plastic taste never went away
Bought this kettle and toaster, followed guidelines about pre-use but water still tastes strongly of coffee. Harvey Norman replaced it for us, claiming it has happened before but should be one offs not a whole batch. New kettle does the exact same thing, which is really disappointing because it looks so beautiful!

Love this kettle! Functional & stylish
This kettle has been a great addition to our kitchen. It stylish but also has a great simple design. Love the way it pours the water out in a waterfall way & overall a great product for the price. The matt finish on the kettle is also great as it doesn’t get finger prints all over it.

What is difference between the scandi kettle and scandi aspect kettle? I see it is $129 for scandi kettle but $159 for scandi aspect kettle?

Aspect is the product range. An aspect kettle has a minimalist design shape and spoutless pour for example.
Scandi relates more so to the style sand finish of some of our products. A scandi product has a wooden effect on the base and handle. All of our ‘scandi’ products are in the aspect product range, but not all aspect products are in the scandi range. The aspect products that are not scandi have a metallic looking finish on the base and handle instead of the wooden effect. Due to this difference in finish there are some differences in price. The models with a metallic looking base are now discontinued so this can affect the pricing also.

Hi There,
I received this kettle as a gift for Christmas and have just moved into my place and have started using the kettle. The water that comes out of it is in drinkable. It actually tastes poisoness. I’ve tried boiling vinegar in it. Any other suggestions as nothing is working.

Whilst this is not a common concern reported with the range distributed in Australia, it is something that we hear about from time to time.
There are a few old fashioned fixes involving bi-carb, lemon and vinegar to be found on Google however we find have found that running a standard de-scaler product through the unit makes a huge difference.
