Great in every way
I love this monitor. I originally bought a different video monitor and found it so frustrating that if my son moved around the cot I wouldn't be able to see him. Thankfully I was recommended The motorola monitor and it has been great. I love that you can pan the room/cot and zoom in as well. It gave me so much peace of mind when my son first moved into his own bed as I could easily see him breathing without having to get out of bed to check on him! I have recently added a second camera and still love the monitor although wish that the screen sp...Read more
lit in two and had sound from both cameras at the same time (a function that is available on other monitors) as the biggest problem is the monitor scans between the two cameras resting on each camera for about 30 seconds. In that 30 seconds there is no video or sound coming from the other camera. The thermometer is great but tends to be about 3 degrees higher than the actual temperature. I did also find annoying that the blue light when plugged in is very bright (I'm very sensitive to light while trying to sleep) but a piece of tape over the light solved that.1 comment

Worth every penny!
Motorola MBP36 Review
The Motorola MBP36 video monitor is hands down one of the best baby-product purchases we've made. It's a good quality and reliable device worth every penny. It helped us to transition bubs to her own room by reducing separation anxiety for both mum and baby. The two way allows my husband and I to sooth her and communicate with each other from different ends of the house.
The range is fantastic. I'm forever bringing the monitor downstairs with me while I fix breakfast, step out to feed the dog or collect the mail. The...Read more
picture quality is clear even with night vision. We leave the monitor on all night, while it's plugged in, and it doubles as a lovely night light. Handy when getting up for night feeds or trips to the loo. The camera can zoom and pan. It doesn't matter which end of the bed bubs has been placed in, or later when she begins to crawl, we can remotely adjust the camera to bring her back into view without moving the unit itself. The built in thermometer and temperature alert is handy. The display turns red when the temperature drops past 15 degrees celsius and let's us know when bubs may need an extra blanket.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

This is almost perfect. I can't live without it.
I ordered this product about 18 months ago when it was first released after reading professional reviews (it was so new there weren't any other reviews yet). I have found it to be a live saver and love almost everything about it. It was such a great thing to buy when we were teaching our child to self-settle as they sound like they're really upset but they are putting it on and intermittently looking around the room playing with their teddies!
Pros:
The screen is excellent - it is very clear even when you have the monitor on the other side ...Read more

Does what we ask
super nice video monitor. Really clear at night with the infra red camera. Easy to set up, good range doesn't drop out. Have dropped the parent unit a few times and its been fine as well. The other reviewer is right that the battery doesn't last for ages, but it will last for maybe 6 hours if you just use it for audio and only video when you need to look. Its the video screen on all the time that drains the battery. Out of range warning and being able to use it as a walkie talkie to talk back to bub is useful too.
Reliable
bit expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for

Can I ask how you charge the battery - sounds weird but if you can just plug it into the wall like a phone to recharge then battery life is ok I suppose. However if you have to remove the battery and ... Read more
put into a seperate charger (which would obviously make the unit useless during recharge) then I would like to know this before purchase.Carly R.Motorola Baby Monitors

Great monitor but needs to be plugged into the charger all the time
Awesome monitor, really clear night mode and has all the features you want in a monitor. We love it because if our little one is crying we just look to check on her rather than getting up and actually going into the room. Only bad thing is that when it's not plugged in it lasts about an hour, really annoying because it only comes with one charger and we have that next to our bed.
Big screen, clear view, good range.

Great!
I put the camera on the shelf and it's about 1m away from cot. No matter it's day time or night time I can see my bub clearly without any problem! The volume, brightness are adjustable. The screen is big enough. The screen can be turned off but it's actually still on so you can hear your bub immidiately during night, plus, there is no any flashing light so it won't disturb your sleep. When the battery is running out it's starting 'beep'.
Very usefull and let me relax to fall in sleep.
Battery of monitor is running out very quickly. Almost need to recharge it everyday.

Fantastic video monitor
After cracking it at my Philips Avent monitor and pitching it into the bin where it belonged, I started to search for a digital video monitor. It was between this Motorola MBP36 and the Luvion Grand Elite. I decided to take the plunge and go with the Motorola. My main reason for this is because it was a more well known brand name. Also, there was no stock of the Luvion at the right price anywhere! It was fate!
The picture on the Motorola is good, the night vision is automated and also good, you can pan left, right, up and down, you can zoom ...Read more
in. You can also add another three monitors if you so wished. What can't you do with it? It's not an iBaby where you can download an app onto your iPhone. I wish it could do that, but that's okay. It also does not allow you to record any video or take photos. It's also a little bit pricey. You can connect it to the TV if you had the right cable and for what I need it to do, it does very well. Night vision, ability to pan and zoom, well known brand name, ability to add more monitors Can't record video or take photos and expensiveSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

How long does battery life last?

Hi - I was never able to use it so never tested battery. It had no range outside of my son's room so was useless as a monitor. Had to buy another. Purchased Angelcare. It's not perfect but at least I can leave my son's bedroom! Motorola also has no warranty so really poor. Angelcare has 3 years.

to the store I purchased it from to replace the monitor. I am unable to return it to the store so now the monitor is essentially useless. The picture quality remains fantastic and although the indicator light light up it cannot be used overnight to wake me. Very disappointed in the lack of customer care with motorola.
