Stopped working properly after 3 months - no warranty support

published

simply - Do not buy this monitor, you will regret it! It will break within 6 months and you will be stuck with a malfunctioning camera

Cant get a refund or a return - they want to spend 6 weeks fixing it, not a great option for anyone.

There is nothing more to say about how bad this product is, but i have to write at least fifty words.

MBP854CONNECT Looses connection for no reason in the middle of the night then beeps constantly

published

Waste of money. Has good features (picture quality, good sound, directional etc) but sometimes fails to connect with camera and beeps constantly till you get up and turn it off which defeats purpose of having a monitor. I have approached support but useless and have done nothing. Had an old Motorola which worked well for 3 years but then died.

Please wait.... Connecting to camera

published

I have been using it for 6mths now, cant have volume up as it picks up a lot of interference regardless of where i put it, and if my partner or myself try to use our phones to view it we just get screen saying " please wait connecting to camera" then it works for 2 secs and goes back to msg, doesn't matter where in house we are, our wifi isnt an issue for anything else as its super quick.
I suggest you try a different camera.

Disappointed! Earlier Models much better night vision and camera panning

published

The night vision is terrible compared to previous models. I have had MBP36 & MBP36s which I loved, the night vision on this one is fuzzy and blurry at times and not clear.
Trying to pan the camera into the spot you want is hard also as you can press the left or right or up/down buttons quickly to move a little and it moves all the way across to the other side. It also has a delayed movement after pressing the arrows so you dont know if it is going to move.
Trying to get this returned to the online shop for a refund. (Which is extremely difficult also)

Hi there,

You mention that the cheaper one that the shop lent you was better except for the Internet connection. Any chance that you know the make and model of that unit?

Thanks
Martin

Hi am sorry I can't remember now (Too many sleepless nights!) and neither can the chap who runs the shop. Having now used the Motorola for a while I would say that the sound quality is better because it is clearer/less hiss but it also has a filter so crying/distress can be heard easily but the Aircon/other noise can't. The loaner we had just transmitted everything. I am still not sure if I can recommend the Motorola though. It has mostly been good we are now looking into a warranty claim because of occasional failures of the camera and power supplies.
