Disappointed

published

Had an under floor splitter/booster installed plus cabling to a third TV for $500. Was told equipment worth hundreds of dollars but later found on ebay for $70. Took about 2 hours to install. Within a few weeks could not receive ABC channels so researched and purchased and installed a booster on the aerial myself for less than $100. Perfect now.

New Aerial and joining up 6 outlets, test each outlet

published

After a renovation of a house we had Ninos (spelling?) from Mr Antenna come out and hook up all of the new aerial cables our electrician had run (3 in the roof) and (3 under the floor), he join these to the existing cable and because we didn't have a aerial he mounted and supplied a new digital aerial.
Cleaned up after himself and tested each socket has the correct signal strength, originally told we may need a booster, after installed the aerial he tested the strength and said he said no booster needed.

No fuss, good job and friendly service, could ask for more. Except maybe a more detailed invoice.

Invoice has " Bolt Mr Antenna $595" nothing about what brand or model aerial supplied or warranty".

Honest feedback

published

We recently purchased a new Samsung TV and had poor picture quality. Thinking it was the antenna, we called Mr Antenna. Tech came around on time (Ernie) and after lots of time looking for problem we were told that the issue was with the TV not the antenna or connections. It was fantastic to have someone as honest and as helpful--I would recommend Mr antenna unreservedly.

RUBBISH. New aerial and booster failed 1 month after warranty ended

published

Paid $600 for a new aerial and powered booster. Complete loss of signal as booster failed after 14 months. Technician said the original replacement aerial was cheap rubbish and he did not use that type anymore. Booster was dead. Replaced aerial with a "better" aerial for another $500 with labour as Mr Antenna refused to accept the goods were faulty as warranty had lapsed. I'd expect a tv aerial to last 10 years plus.

Drilled a hole in our wall?!

published

Someone came around and was replacing our aerial. Long process. When no one was home the man drilled an ugly hole in our wall for the wire to connect to the tv. The most annoying thing was that we already discussed that he was going to hide it along the gutter not out in the open. He then covered it up and put some wall stuff on there. Absolutely terrible. We are so disappointed. We just want them to come fix in. :(

Great service!

published

Mr Antenna were very professional, from booking to communication on arrival time I was very impressed. The technician was very knowledgable and solved our reception issues promptly. Billing was very easy with an invoice showing payment electronically straight away which makes it easier for warranty purposes.

Exemplary Service from Mr Antenna

published

We called this service because of issues with the installation of a new Foxtel IQ box and lack of availability of a tech for 3-4 weeks. The service staff member dealt expertly with our call; the tech came the next day. We were informed every stage and the tech was brilliant. He even dealt with Foxtel in re-initiating the box. I cannot praise this service enough given that at least two hours were spent on the phone with Foxtel.

Unhappy customer

I called and arranged for Mr Antenna to come out to our house to replace our antenna, as well as put in a couple of new points for us. On the morning they were due to come out, I received a call to say that they'd have to reschedule because the technician's wife had had a baby and he could no longer make it. This was about 3 weeks ago and I've still not received a call back. Pretty disgraceful behaviour. If you didn't want to do the job in the first place, you could have just said no.

TV now working. Channel 9 regularly breaks up, Channel 7 occasionally does. Basically happy with the reception except for the breaking up as happens on channels I watch most

Hmmm.....

published

We had Mr Antenna come out for a free quote to install an extra TV point, tune a smart TV and check the signal of current antenna.when I booked Mr Antenna on the phone I asked them to call me when the guy arrives to check everything as my mother in law speaks limited english. Turns out we "Needed" a new antenna. So we were quoted for a new antenna, two TV points and to tune the TV.... $600.00.... I checked the cable that runs from the TV to the antenna point, did a retune of the channels and....... It works fine.... Don't even need a new antenna.....

New tv point

published

We had 2 new points put it. Happy with the service but I think the technician should carry around a little vac cleaner and clean up after himself.

Upgrade to Digital Antenna

published

John changed our analogue antenna to a digital antenna with a minimum of fuss. The free-to-air signal and picture are now excellent. He also moved a socket in a bedroom to a more convenient spot and that is working well. Mr Antenna was recommended by a neighbour to me and I would do the same for anyone who asked. I was happy with the cost which turned out to be less than the original quote.

We needed a new TV antenna

published

Our tech, Thom was remarkably good. He identified the problems with our old antenna and recommended replacement which he carried out on the spot. He was early for his appointment ( he rang to see if it was OK to arrive early) and got on with explaining everything clearly and getting the job done quickly and very efficiently. Our transmission is now the best it has been. My wife and I highly recommend Thom and Mr Antenna. Thank you Thom

Best reception ever.

The technician was extremely knowledgeable & willing to answer any question I posed. I would highly recommend our Gold Coast technician to all. The kicker was he used all Australian made products.

Just recently, my television started pixilating......I thought it might be that the coaxial cable had come loose. After fiddling with it, it seemed to improve....but now every so often the TV makes a bit of a noise, and words are missing......Could it be the antenna? We have had strong wind and storms.

Hi Jude,
Thanks for reaching out to us.

Based on the notes you have shared, a number of things could be at play.
There could be signal loose due to poor contacts from the cable, there could be cable or antenna damage, or interference.
Depending on the distance of the antenna from your TV set (and the length of cable used) there could
be signal loss.

The best option would be for one of our technicians to attend and conduct an on-site inspection.
They can then provide a no obligation assessment and free on-site quote to correct the problem.

If you'd like to go ahead with this please give us a call on 13 11 49 or send us the best number
to reach you on and a member of our team will be in touch.

I purchased my antenna from you about 18 months ago. It has stopped working, I tried unplugging the antenna and the tv's from the wall outlets and plugged them back in again. I tried doing the channel search. I tested the outlet to be sure it is working. I still am not getting a signal. What else can I do?

Hi Lorraine, it should be covered under warranty. Call 13 11 49 and tell them about your issue and they will organise for someone to come and sort it out.
