Can’t run business without it MYOB nows it !

Disappointed that Ipurchased last version of V19 never had a problem with it then I keep getting a notice to ring support to verify to get a number to reactivate Then told I would have to ring back every 24 days to get another number and only solution was to pay a fee monthly for 12months Then after two to three weeks all of a sudden can’t use software and have to ring support I feel I have been conned and gouged But I suppose that how you make money for share holders !

Thank you for resolving my issue, the help from your staff was exceptional and no problem was an issue. While I was working with them to sort my issue the lady helped me with other things inside payroll that I never knew existed. This will save me so much time

I find MYOB very logical and easy to use. There are a couple of glitches which have never been resolved, one specific to Inventory where there are hidden numbers - we have had a script run on our databases at various times to temporarily resolve this issue. I also find the sizing of fields on an invoice are not retained when I set them under preferences. This will all be resolved in future, no doubt.

Great Accounting Package

I have been using this product now for 25 years and find it to be a genuine accounting package. Product is great but customer service in dealing with billing issues has become a real problem with me and unresolved to date.

Been a user of MYOB Accounting since the 1990's. Many trouble-free years of managing clients' books of account. Good reports and ease of use. No others come close. Keep up the good work. Am about to purchase AccountRight Premier.

The best accounting system available

I have been using MYOB for more than 25 years, I still consider it to be the best accounting system available, apart from some speed issues, it is very user-friendly, has great flexibility and reports.

Wait time for help

After waiting a week for a reply to an email for help I called them, I had the pleasure of waiting over 1 hour to get help. They did help but I don't know why we pay them.

I control 3 low level accounts where there are only one principle and one employee. To pay $48 per month for this is extortion when i the past I used MYOB Classic for no cost after purchasing the programme

Ridiculously no longer designed for actual bookkeepers. We are not gamers - lose the mouse, bring back the keyboard

I'm a long-term MYOB user (20+ years). The current products are far inferior to the offline original versions for actual bookkeepers and we are now made to pay for it every year. MYOB has lost its way trying to implement fancy tools that do not really help with everyday use and have removed items or not fixed even tiny issues that actual bookkeepers keep telling them.

Overall user experience. I was seemly happy with the product until I need to cancel my subscription. I am now working fulltime and no longer require MYOB.

I need to call to cancel the account this cannot be done online. waiting periods are over an hour. always over an hour for some reason. I can only call during work hours. no after-hours call line. well, not for the accounts department, unfortunately.

I eventually spent 6 weeks attempting to cancel without success until today.

Some non intuitive things to learn.

Some things are not immediately obvious e.g. Designing a form to send out or print an invoice: to put in extra information you have to insert a text box-thats ok and is standard practice, however to type into the text box you have to double click inside the box first rather than a single click. I think that most software packages( e.g. publisher) are designed so that the cursor is already in the box ready for typing.

Easy to use, but difficult if complex support required

We've been with myob for almost 10 years. I've found it easy to use.
My only negative feedback would be that at times I have a query which I cannot sort out online. Often these queries aren't simple and are quite hard to explain. I've waited on hold for a considerable amount of time, finally get through and the first person I come to needs to put me through to someone that handles more complex queries. Then I'm waiting on for another goodness knows how long and sometimes unable to have it resolved.

I would love to comment because i found the old version easy so I hope the new version is as easy to use. I still have your Tech department trying to open the old company file and hope that this will be successful

This week, I was lucky to get Melissa De Stratis (Mel), on the phone to assist me with an issue related to Windows 10 update thereby preventing us from accessing vital data files. Mel was calm and super in the way she listened to the circumstances regarding our issues. She sought extra input from her team and responded immediately to what we needed to do to get through our issues.

I am so glad we got Mel on the phone and she was able to assist so wonderfully well. She returned all my calls and highly commend her and thank her. Take care Mel

The only down side was that it took me 53minutes holding on before we got Mel, but in the end it was worth it.

I need a report that shows GST detail with all sales and purchases in the month. MYOB has suggested I run 3 reports for this and not one of them gives me any of the info I need.
I need to be able to reconcile the figures in MYOB back to my BAS statement so I need to filter down to the individual transactions....I am using MYOB Essentials with Payroll

Hi Mary, the GST detailed report will based on tax codes listed on the transaction. If you are running that for an accrual basis it will show you all the transactions for that month.

If you are on an cash basis, the report will show all the payment transactions. As it's reporting on the payments it may not be reporting all those transactions recorded within the month i.e. invoice was recorded in the month but the payment has not come in until the following month. As such, you may need to combine this report with an accrual based GST detailed report to get a full list of transactions recorded in that period.

What does the Error message "Account Max Level"mean?

I'm not good with myob I get help from a friend who is an account, but I think it could be that you have a limit of how many accounts you have started in MYOB think the max is 4. eg personal account, buisness account, sports club account if you are a secretary doing the club accounts. hope that helps. someone else may help more sorry.

Why the myob invoices app gets SO slow and even comes back with errors when trying to put a new line, or new item. Also gets SO slow when is the end of the month. Could you please explain
