Recently purchased navara from a local Honda dealership in the first hour found that we had an issue with the paint work so reported the morning after which they said they would book it in and take it. It was checked over by one of their master technicians who said its not covered under warranty couldn't believe this, so I put in a complaint to Nissan who told me I would hear something with in 2 working day, took them 4 days only after I was in contact with them again but all I got was asked stupid questions on where I kept the vehicle and how...Read more
I washed it as I told her I've not had it long enough to clean but then started to tell me that I'd not bought it from a Nissan dealership as I told her it came from vertu Honda but supplied by one of their Nissan dealerships but all she could keep saying you didn't buy it from Nissan so it looks like if you don't buy a Nissan from a Nissan dealership they have the right to refuse warranty looks like their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on and this vehicle is only 4 month old.Similar opinion? VIBRATION ISSUE - 2017 NAVARA ST-X
Purchased new in Jan 2018, vibration from the very first day, thinking it was tyre pressure or being new it will disappear as it wears in. Appears at low speeds & constant through to higher speeds, first reported at 2,300k now 8,500, had it to them 3 occasions they balanced it, changed drive shaft, swapped rims & tyres from another Navara but problem persists. It’s with them now for approx 3 weeks & not resolved as yet SO FRUSTRATING. Can feel vibration in seats & body ITS TERRIBLE hate driving it. Apparently it’s a production issue which Nissan will never admit to & WHY WOULD THEY. I have read many post / forums & it is a common issue - recommend if your considering purchase then think again, do not DONT BUY.

Very strange issue.
To my in Holland the Ute is generally OK. However, the vehicle gives an uncertain feeling in steering on highways, you have to make slight corrections all the time, you get used to it eventually till you drive another car, then you realise the difference. Further, something very odd, the machine is 13mm mm lower on the left side, measured at the front as well as the back. I measured other NP300 vehicle's of the same age, all had the same deviation. The dealer said it doesn't cause problems and it is within acceptable tolerance. Hahaha

Great value for money
RX Single cab chassis with alloy tray 2x4, manual single turbo diesel, electricians vehicle so approx 400kg tools and ladders on roof owned for 2 months 5000km traveled.
Pros: good fuel economy- 8.64 l/100km ( actual not computer readout)
Lots of torque
comfortable seating
Low road noise
Good looking interior
Well built and designed alloy tray ( factory Nissan)
Cons:
Sluggish acceleration but you get use to it
Self acceleration between 1 st and 2nd gear sometimes

Could use more room in the cab for tall people although it’s not bad it could be better. Steering wheel needs to be able to move up and Down, in and out more. I.e it can be a bit cramped Computer is wildly inaccurate with fuel economy reading.( it reads 7.1l/ 100km LOL!) no auto option for the poverty pack model. All in all very happy with the car. You get more bang for your buck with this than the Toyota lower level.

Vibration issue and Oil leak
I have the dreaded Nissan vibration. they changed the wheelset but has not removed the vibration. Feels like a CV joint issue. Also have the intercooler oil leak. I asked dealer how this is still happening to cars are three years of production. He said he is actually seeing more now. Nissan needs their head read, as this is a crazy way to kill their reputation.
Now had the vehicle with a second dealer, as Metro Nissan shutdown, who has replaced the tailshaft. Vibration problem not fixed and it only took a month. I will be escalating this direct...Read more

Great ute, comfortable, reliable, affordable
42,000 kilometers on the car and it has been great. Great economy, coil rear suspension makes it really comfortable. Been away on multiple beach and bush trips and find the twin turbo really works well in the soft sand. Cleveland Nissan have been great to deal with. 100% would buy again.

Worst car in thirty years
ST-X purchased June 2016. Trouble started day one with the tonneau cover being incorrectly fitted by Nissan and coming lose on a long trip. Nissan tried to blame me and said it must be an aftermarket fit although the tonneau cover was part of the original new car buy. This was followed with tailgate latch jamming repeatedly and being told it was a known problem which had not been fixed. On two occasions we had smoke from under the bonnet due to oil dripping on the hot engine, Nissan replaced the pipe from the turbo charge to the engine. Nissan ...Read more
are aware of this issue and is a problem with the series. After the first months we experienced a flat spot during acceleration which we were told was because we didn't know how to drive an automatic although I have been driving since 1971. On two occasions Nissan reset the computer to overcome the "flat spot". On the way to Stanthorpe we experienced strong front end vibration and had the wheels checked and balanced in Stanthorpe with no change in front end vibration. On the same trip the ABS brake system failed and had to be repaired by RACQ in Stanthorpe. The final straw came when driving from Canberra to Cooma and we started to get the smell of fuel in the car. A week later, in June 2018, we got rid of the car with 59,000km on the clock and warranty remaining. Sadly when you contact the Nissan Help Desk in Melbourne the first comment made by the person answering was "it's not our fault and we accept no responsibility". Without a doubt the most un-helpful "Help Desk" I've ever spoken to.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Suspected turbo oil leak
I recently noticed oil spots on my driveway and occasionally smelled burning oil and smoke out of the engine bay. Booked my navara for check up with the dealer. Hope everything goes Okay. Would write the review later after the dealer inspection. The ute has only done 15000k. The car has been serviced by the same dealer just 3 weeks ago.

Vibration and fuel consumption
The vehicle vibrates at 88 km to 110km from day one .. it has been in for service 4 times and the sevuice manager is also feeling the vibration .. they can’t fix it .. first they blamed the rims and tires that was supplied by them as a upgrade. We been 3 times for wheel balancing and alignment nothing worked. Then Nissan fitted original tires again nothing the vehicle vibrates through the front seats and mores visable when taking bends on highway driving. Feels like your in a vibrating machine.. terrible . Then they suggested I add a app on my...Read more
phone to test vibration.. as they tried to tell me it was exceptable .. so I did my on testing and it was shown a it wasn’t within giudlines. I have Nissan customer care and the dealer ship trying to say it’s normal. I’m not excepting it as they have said it was a problem with this series .. when I first brought it to there attention. Also we have had the manifold changed at 10,000 km as it was a known problem and haven’t made it aware to the public as yet. As for fuel consumption I’m getting 11.8 km per 100km which is terrible and that is suburb driving no where near the 7.9 combined .1 comment

Great ute for me
Great ute upgraded the shockers with Bilstein’s that made a huge difference to ride and handling fitted a canopy very happy but expensive to service and a little advice drop the tyre pressure to 32front and 30 rear makes a lot nicer drive if ya not carting a load 20000 in 7 months and still happy

66,000kms of issueless driving.
After traveling over 65,000kmover a 2 and 1/2 year period, i find it hard to read all these negative reviews when i have had no issues to date, although i can see that all the car manufacturers have produced a lemon or two after reviewing other makes on this site.
The NP300 is the most car like ute that i test drove when purchased the car new in 2015 (i tired the Ford Ranger, BT-50, Amarok, Colarado & Triton) at the time and the dealer at Yarra Valley Nissan allowed me to drive this car to the other manufacturers yards to compare the car dir...Read more
ectly and it was the selling point as i could tell the difference in the rides and not too mention the hard to beat 1% fiance offer. This is my work car where i travel approximately 800km per week with a mix of Freeway and inner city driving averaging 8.5L per 100km (approx. 760km per tank), never once have i felt uncomfortable due to the ride quality. The cabin is quiet and engine is surprisingly quite when cruising at 60-100km/h, but can have some rattles when accelerating from a low speed start, quite common with the other diesel cars that I've driven with work. The interior is okay, but becoming dated with the hard plastic finishes and old informant system, but all systems work as advertised. Fortunately for me i don't have to carry much weight in the back for work because you can notice the unsettled ride, but like 80% of utes i see on the road these days, its not used for transporting 1 tonne of tools to the jobsite to jobsite and if you where to carry such weight you would upgrade the suspension as we have done with our BT 50, Ranger & Falcon work fleet carting A/C service tool boxes.Similar opinion? 30000 on the clock and no problems yet
I upgraded from a Nissan D40. I liked the exterior styling, and the SUV style interior. Certainly an improvement over the D40 interior. I hated the factory suspension, it was way to soft, and the front end bounced when going over bumps. I've been told it has been changed in later models. I put after market suspension on it and it's fantastic now, it handles better than the D40 and other utes I drive for work. If you are thinking of buying an early version of the NP300 you might want to consider that.
It has great fuel consumption, I can...Read more

What a bucket of crap
Buyer beware of car and company. I recently bought an upgraded Nissan Navara from a dealership (dealership upgrades) and the thing is a danger on the road. Vibrates, loud and just unpleasant. Nissan Australia want nothing to do with it, Dealership wants nothing to do with it - there blaming each other and you won’t get anywhere. If you want to buy a 50+ vibrator - go for it.

No drivers grab handle got down as low as 5.7litres per 100 km sedate driving towing van 1700kgs using 11.4 / 100km @ 100kms/ hr economy is good calculate by filling up setting trip to zero then calculate using an app off google l/per 100kms instead of actual car trip meter readings

nice drive but thats all!!
Fuel consumption is why i bought it and its at least three litres out!!. Cant see over silly front wheel arches so useless for four wheel driving!!. Had to replace suspension after 40 thousand klms.side view mirrors cause biggest blind spot ever. Nissan say fuel is good. do the math! 62 liters gets only 550 klms. what crap

Oil leak
I’ve been generally happy with my Navara and consider it a good tow vehicle.
Recently I’ve been noticing oil patches on our driveway and asked my son to park his old 4wd on the street thinking it was from that. Turns out all these oil patches are actually from the Navara, which has only done 27,000km. Seems this is fairly common with this model.
The seat foam has also squashed right down on the side.
After having a 3 litre Patrol self destruct at 140,000km I think I’ll steer clear of Nissan in the future.

Great car with good power and fuel economy.
Had my np300 for 8 months now and this is my second one. Love the way it handles and drives. The only criticisms that i would have about the np300 is that it does not have a ignition key courtesy light. I am sure that Nissan could rectify this easily enough. Also the air box pickup on top of the radiator support panel not ideal for any water play.

Love this car!
I simply love this car!
I was wanting the new Mercedes X class based on their prototype and I’m glad I made this choice.
My Navara looks awesome, it’s comfortable and drives like a dream.
It would have got 5 stars only for its truck-like turning circle and the 2.3 twin turbo is a little bit under sized for a vehicle of this size.
Have to say, Werribee Nissan we’re champions; would recommend them over and over!

Disappointing to say the least!
Ever since new this ute has given me trouble.
Almost a lemon!
As soon as I left the dealership I new it didn't have the power it should, also once on the freeway there was a terrible shake right through the whole ute.
I went to the local Nissan dealer straightaway and they found that there was a problem with the turbo boost...that was fixed! as to the wobble......sorry we cant find anything!
I drove for another 5000km....then totally feed up!

FIRST 4x4 Dual Cab Ute
Bought New from Westpoint.
Performance is good. No issue so far. just done 1000kms. Kids love it as the high position at the back.
Fuel consumption will never get close to dealer suggested.
Paint seems a bit thin. Heard a lot about oil leak.
Will keep an close eye on it. Still Extremely Happy
