I have a ninja professional 900 watt and love it but the blade attachment has a terrible smell in the rubber seal area, I always wash it immediately and have even soaked it in anti bacteria solution with hot water but it always come back with use, does the seal come out or the blade attachment pull apart for thorough cleaning, thanks Deb
1 answer
Seal comes out, you can order a new one from Amazon. You will be grossed out when you see the mold on the one you take out. Use a non-sharp tool like a butter knife to remove it. The new one slips right in.

Hi, i have a nutri ninja auto iq,used it the first couple of days and it worked well with no problem whatsoever, last time I used it on auto iq extract it worked well and I turned it off after using it.
I tried to use it today, turned it on,but the blender is not coming on,light isn't coming on,nothing at all. Do you have any idea what might be wrong? Considering the last time I used it, it worked well with no issues.
Thank you

Hi Oses. Sorry to hear you are having that problem. My brother in-law had a similar problem and as the blender was still under warranty he was able to organise a replacement. I do believe however his may have got liquid in the blender multiple times. Sometimes this happens when the lid is not screwed on securely. If you do not believe this has been the case though it may be an electrical issue with the machine itself and might be worth phoning the store in which you bought it to ask their advice. I hope that helps. Best of luck. :).
Hi Sarah, Thank you so much for your answer. I bought the nutri ninja whilst in the United Kingdom . i got to nigeria couple of weeks ago, first few times I used the nutri ninja it worked (power source was from the nation utility grid), we had a power outage and I tried using the second time, unfortunately it didn't come on,I got a little bit worried, hence the reason I sought for help on product review. Power from the national utility grid was restored a day later, plugged the nutri ninja and it came on, working perfectly.
I have come to the conclusion that the nutri ninja BL490UK will not work with power generated from a generator source.
I also have a nutribullet 600 watts which I tried and it worked with power generated from a generator .
Many thanks for your response
I have the same problem. I have had mine almost 2 years no prob but one day i turned it on and no lights no power.

my Ninja Auto IQ 1000 has stopped operating. the power comes through but the unit will not work. It will spin briefly and then stop after a couple of seconds. It is out of warranty. Would appreciate any suggestion to make it work. It has been very useful!
Many thanks.

This happened with ours because the little plastic tabs on the cups were wearing out. It only happened after a few uses and we exchanged for a new one and the same thing is happening again. Holding down the cup in place helps it blend continuously without stopping, but I know that is not what you want to be doing for a whole minute.

My Nutri Ninja BL480 is getting power and counting down but not blending, any ideas?

My ninja auto IQ is starting to leak from the blade base and is not blending smoothly anymore. Any advise?
2 answers
Sorry to hear that. I haven't experience that yet but If it is leaking already then it might have something to do with the rubber. If it is still under warranty then you can check with the manufacturer.
My ninja is leaking badly and I don’t know what to do. When liquid gets to the motor it stops running until it dries. Having paid over$200 at the Good Guys one would think this product would be leak proof or come with instructions on what to do.

I have a Nutri Ninja Auto iQ BL 682Q series. When I plugged it in the outlet, I am not getting any power. It's not turning on. Any suggestions?
1 answer
You have to have the attachment on and ready to blend for it to work, if not it might be dead on arrival, it has happened to me before where it just won't work. Does it have the power button flashing red if you have nothing on it?
Sadieasked
I have a Nutri Ninja Auto IQ Duo BL641C. When the cup is locked in the red zero flashes. If I pull the whole cup blade forward to the right and put a little pressure on it I see the zero and I can blend, but if I stop pulling it/adding pressure, it stops and starts flashing again. No issues with the pitcher. Any quick fixes?

That's a tough one Sadie, I think we have different models, mine is an IQ1000, model BL480NZ 30. It only works when the cup is completely locked in to the base, if I touched any part it would stop. which is good or I'd have food all round the room. If you go into the web-site there is probably somewhere where you could ask the experts. Sorry, that's the best I can come up with as I don't know what yours actually does??? It doesn't sound right to me though, you shouldn't have to touch it at all.
I have the Duo IQ and the switch that senses the blender cup is going bad and I have to put press the top of the cup to the right while blending. Without that pressure it does not sense the cup being locked in the base. I'm not sure how to fix it but I'm damned sure I'll not buy another Ninja!

Does anyone know or has anyone made basil pesto in the 32 oz cup using 2 cups of loosely packed basil leaves. It calls for 2 tbsps. olive oil & I'm not sure if that qualifies as a liquid to use in this machine. Found a recipe for 4 cups of tightly packed basil but you have to use the 72 oz pitcher and I don't want to make that much? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My basil plant is getting huge and ready to flower! Thanks, Suziq

I cant blend anything im my ninja without a rediculous amount of fluid. So for mine I would say no.
To missylady09 Thank you for the info. I got a response from someone at Shark & they told me sure, it should be fine using olive oil in the single cups of the Nutri Ninja. It was not ok. You are absolutely correct! It was a mess. It just sat there & spun its' blades while the olive oil slid down the sides of the cup. I put it on all the auto IQ settings and even the puree setting and nothing happened so NO, do not try to make pesto in the Nutri Ninja unless there is some secret method. I have a small little appliance called a ChopMaster that did the trick.
I make pesto all the time in my ninja both the tall pitcher and the short one, first of all, I add toasted pine nuts a little lemon juice parm cheese and 3-4 cups of basil and much much more olive oil then 2 Tbps. I add at least a 1/2 cup and as I blend it I add more through the top until I get a nice consistency. I at times do have to scrap down the side of the pitcher and push down leaves but you can make as much or as little as you want. It works beautifully and I freeze the extra in small containers for all year long use.

Nutri I Q depending on where you bought it I would go their first and let them know maybe write or contact manufacturer see what response you get about the issue maybe it's a fault .

Can i Use this blender to make Ginger/garlic paste ?
2 answers
Hi Faisal, with this machine it grinds and chops as long as you add some form of liquid like milk, water and ice to form a smooth consistency.
Im guessing if you use the ginger and garlic you may need to add a bit of water to get that paste consistency..
Luv the car...............
Hi Faisal, i think my answer is the same as above. We only used the machine as a juicer. Cheers

How are the cups on the go?
The reason I am considering purchasing this blender is so I can blend a smoothie in the morning, than right away screw the lid on and go. (No pouring it into another bottle or unnessecary dishes and saving time.) Are the cups pleasant to drink from and to take with you?
Who has experience with this? And if so, would you recommand this blender for this kind of use?
1 answer
Yes, it's perfect. Quite easy to drink from (although not super comfortable but you just need the nourishment right?)

I use my Nutri Ninja every day. I have noticed that it has a black oil residue underneath the blade assembly and makes much more noise than it used to. Has anyone exerienced a failure in the bearings in the blade unit?
6 answers
No, but then we have had ours only a couple of months and don't use it every day as we have a cold pressed juicer we tend to use more. I think you have a problem there and if you are still in warranty you should take it back as I am sure its not supposed to do that. All the best with it.
Failing bearing. The bearing surfaces are wearing because the internal part of the bearing has failed.
We should all ask why do these modern day nutri blenders have dodgy bearings that wear out after such light duty.. They don't survive one year. If we do our math and realise that 1 minute a day every day for a year, is nothing for a bearing. Why do our old blenders that we have parked in the cupboard have bearings that last several years of intermittent use that easily adds up to more than 365 minutes.
Yup, mine failed after about 16 months - daily use mind you. And the beginning of the end was increased noise

I bought one last week at Harvey Norman to replace a failed TS200 under the Trent and Steele 2 year replacement warranty (refund and extra cash and $11 discount to make $128). There is nothing about warranty on the outside of the NutriNinja box. I decided to try contacting the Brand Developers company that is written on the bottom of the box. They try to connect me to a customer support person who I think is in NZ. They knock off at 3pm, so I requested something in writing. I didn't receive anything and since I hadn't opened the security seal on the box I went back to Harvey Norman. They said it is 12 month replacement (with them) but without anything in writing I decided not to take the risk. The offer of 1 year replacement warranty (verbal) is no comparison to a 2 year replacement warranty written all over the Trent and Steele. Harvey Norman staff checked a couple of pages of their sales statistics and said they didn't see any returns of the NutriNinja, so they agreed to put it back on the shelf to sell. I was given a refund, back to my debit card. $128 which is what I paid.
