Good question. I got mine at JB HiFi so I'd check with them if you are considering getting one.

In the box is a card. Has contact numbers. Aust. is 1800 750 368. JB HiFi also has the large cups for this model on sale, others possibly available (sales guy).

I just blended carrots, celery and apple with water together and it hasn't turned into juice, is extremely thick and more of a slushy than juice. Are they only suppose to make it a slushy or are they meant to make juice?

Hey Sam! For juice you'll need a specific juicing appliance. This will just make smoothies/slushies. Hope you're not put off though, all that fibre has a tons of great nutrients! Cheers.

I cannot screw the top unit onto the base of my new Nutri Ninja BL450. Am I doing something wrong? It wont engage, let alone twist to the right.

Screw on black part is like a cap, that screws on the clear jug part. Then turn upside down and insert into the base (part with motor) It is keyed to fit using the 4 tabs on the clear jug. Then push down and twist to lock in position.

Well good luck with this!! After leaving a message on the Internet site, several phone calls and emails in the past month I still don't have my part. You can, apparently, ring 1800890840 and order one, but each time I try they say our address isn't coming up on their computer so they
are unable to process the order!! They then promise to ring back - they DON'T !!!

I have reached out to Customer Service through their web site even though my warranty is up and they are responding positively. I would suggest you contact them about the problem and they may help.

All nutritional bullet style blenders potentially fail from a bearing that holds the blades in the black screw on section. I notice that the internal part of the bearing fails and becomes noisy. The extra friction cooks the rubber seal on the bearing and it disintegrates as black slivers or chunks or dust. If you keep using it (wearing ear plugs and wiping the black dirt away) the bearing should seize up. The blender will sense the resistance and shut down, or it will keep spinning if the bearing has enough tolerance in the black part that is starts wearing that away. The end result won't be good. It will slowly leak or it will start smoking.
Why do the old fashioned blenders survive years of heavy duty ice crushing and fruit smoothies while these nutrition bullet style blenders start wearing out in 6 months after 1 minute a day.light use.

Hi Helen
I think initially the engine may have a little odour as it warms up but I would certainly contact the supplier to let them know.
I think the main thing is not to let the engine overheat and to make sure you have enough liquid to keep the contents fluid.
Good luck and I hope yours keeps working for you!

Hello,
I have used my Ninja Auto IQ (BL682) blender for 3.5 months. Today, it suddenly stopped working with the personal jars. I think the jar and the blade look fine. I wonder if there is a problem with the sensors on the motor. But, the agent working with Ninja insisted that the problem is with the sensors on the blade. I dont think that makes any sense. Any idea ? Thanks.

I have no idea why it may not be working. I'm sorry. But it should be. It's so new. So please return it to the retailer or organize warranty repairs because it's still within warranty.

QLDZDR

If you try spinning the blade with your finger, does it feel a bit tight? It might be the initial failure signs of the bearing. The base is shutting down to protect itself. Take it back to retailer and compare with the display model.

It has become exceedingly hard to tighten the blade section onto the bowls. So much so that my wife cannot take them apart. Is there a remedy .
Secondly can you get a jug with handle that will fit the Auto IQ to get around this problem. I think it is a 480.

Our blender is only about 6 months old( we are not experiencing and difficulty with the cup and blade going onto the base unit. Are you still in warranty? Maybe ask the retailer for an exchange. Also I don't believe there is a jug cup available for the model we have, only extra/replacement cups.

My Nutri Ninja has a HUGE problem with leaking. it's the version with 2 500ml cups. Brand new and after a few seconds froth starts coming up from the base and the cup has been partially opened. Why? I screw it on super tight at the start and hold it in place the whole time. But its an ungodly mess to clean up every time. What can be done to fix this?

unless your mixture was very wet I would say not. (It does not have a dry mill blade, only the one smoothie blade, but nuts and seeds blend well when there is enough liquid added) i have not tried balls though, only green smothies.. perhaps someone else has?

So frustrated. I gave away my old fashioned blender! Now only have the Ninja IQ. Bought and prepared ingredients for protein balls, tried to use my Ninja, it DOES NOT blend these nut/fruit ingredients even with a half cup of lemon juice!!! GRRRRRRR!!

What's it like for carrot apple celery or beetroot juices?
Is it pulpy or nice and smooth to drink?

1 answer
Swanee
Swanee

Very smooth. I use carrots, apples (unpeeled), celery (made a delicious celery soup). It has a blend option and an ultra blend option, besides the manual settings. I'm sharing with a friend who has one and I use it all the time. I will be buying one for myself they are so good.

People who complain about the noise have to consider that if you want the job done, you need a powerful machine to do it. One person compared it (unflatteringly) here with a chain saw, but the thing is, this has a 1000w motor, sure get a 500w and it will be quieter, but won't do the job near as well.

Hi can I blend spices, sugar etc to powdered form?

2 answers
Shane M
Shane M

I haven't tried dry ingredients with this blender. I did try with Nutri bullet and it wasn't very good. Most sugars and spices in powder form are ground down so I doubt any blender type machine will give you a nice even powder.

Although there are grinders which are small that are designed for this.

The problem with all blenders is that the ingredients are tossed around and smashed with blades which is hit and miss.

The product needs to go through the machine from a feeder into receiving container.

I did some research and found a review of spice grinders with a suggested top pick.

http://www.finecooking.com/articles/equipment-review-spice-grinders.aspx

They recommend a DeLonghi Aromatic Coffee Grinder — Model DCG39

It's important to note too that you will only be able to process a few ounces of spices at a time and not in greater volumes. But they do grind in 15-20 seconds.

I hope this has been of some help to you.

Hi. I wouldn't as the blades will prob heat up at the fast speed and burn the spices. Ive tried berries and kale in smoothies and the seeds dont crind down either does kale. Also dont put garlic in it as the smell wont go. Does recommend you dont leave on too long. I would just buy them already ground or a grinder thats made for herbs/coffee/ nuts. Hope this helps good luck

Hi all,
I'm just wondering if anyone has encountered this issue.
I took my cup with me to work today and it leaked out in to my handbag. It leaked from the brim of the cup, where the lid seals not from the flap that flips open to allow you to drink.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so, is there a trick to this as I thought I had screwed the lid on quite tight?
Thank you

I've got a similar problem the threading on the cups wear out really quickly. Mine now leaks when I blend in it (which goes everywhere in the power base) or put the travel lids on it. Sorry but there is nothing you can really do about it once the threading around the cup wears out.

Never used the cup to carry. My base burned out after 1 month of use.

Moscato

Hi. Yeah haven't had it leak as yet, I wipe down the inner screw part before I put on the lid which is annoying and doesn't make it as messy except when you take off the lid off to drink out of it and then putting the lid back on as the hole to drink out of is too small. Wish the lids were like the Nutra Bullet where they screw on from the outside and the hole bigger. Thats the only fault I've found with it.

My Ninja is working great " BUT " with every thing you buy these days there's always one that will give you a problem, so send it back under warranty and it will be fixed for nothing. I worked at Mercedes and have seen $2000,000 cars give troubles so no big deal just get it replaced.

Melsy

Yes, I have used everyday and as yet - touch wood - have had no problems with it. It is noisy, but it has been since day one. I guess that's just one of the downfalls of having a powerful machine. I bought a smoothie from a local store yesterday and it did not mix all of the ingredients as well as the Ninja. My suggestion would be to notify the place of purchase about your Ninja, keep a record of contact and go from there. Keep in touch as to how you get on.
Cheers Melsky.
