So simple
Openpay is so easy to set up and use.
Unlike Afterpay the repayments are smaller and over a longer period.
Great for unexpected emergencies eg: car services ect
As long as you pay what’s expected on the due date you can’t wrong.
Highly recommended

Don’t use
Only use open pay if no other option available to you. Customer service are rude and lie to you. I missed a payment due to being on holiday and forgot to transfer the money into the correct account (totally my fault I know) but once I realised I rectified and made full payment (was only $39.80 over due), they ensured me once I paid the plan I could use open pay again. I paid the whole plan in full and they then advised I could no longer use open pay unless I wrote to them with a good enough reason. I had used open pay a few times and paid off a...Read more
few plans and was treated this way after one missed payment. I politely thanked them for their service and asked to close account. Have used zippay instead. They may charge $6 a month but they aren’t rude like this. Use other payment services before this one if you can :)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good for Bunnings, Customer Service is lacking
Overall solid, heard reviews about affecting credit scores, my limit never increases after plans complete despite always being on time, and have completed over 15 so far.
Customer Service in the call centre is generic and not very helpful. Fledgling company still and not worked out their Customer Service Model, loves taking cash and fees if people are late looking at the other reviews, not as good as Afterpay, but a good alternative.

Excellent option
I like using Openpay because it’s easy to use and has the option of 2 or 3 months to pay. I would like it even more once they get a few more retailers on board.

I was penalized for making extra payments!!
I loved this app and had no bad things to say until they locked me out of my account when I was in the middle of making some extra payments. That's right!! They penalized me for paying them back!!! So I called them to find out why and was told that I was paying my account off too quickly, as they are a buy now pay later. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I said, "so I can't pay my account quicker so i can use it again, HOW RIDICULOUS!!!!" I use openpay to pay my vet bills, and I'll be suggesting to my Vet to change to zip pay or afterpay as both afterpay and zip pay let you pay as quick as you want. I'm disgusted in the service I've received from openpay this week, just appalling!!!

Do not use this ap
Do not use this service. I spent $74 and they charged an extra $25 just to use the service. Absolute rip off. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do yourself a favour and use afterpay!

Never made a purchase with them yet they have charged my card
Going through my credit card statement today I have found that I have two charges taken from in form openpay. Only problem is we have never made any purchases. So I would be very sceptical of their security processes as they don’t seem to care if they charge the right person or not for purchases. Now we have had to cancel the credit card and dispute the charges.

Transparency is an issue.
Only decided to use Open Pay for an emergency lawn mower purchase at Bunnings because they do not accept Afterpay. After much research, I could not find any detailed information regarding the freedom to choose from longer repayment time frames nor additional “fees”.
Decided to take the risk anyway because we were in desperate need of the mower and was disappointed to find the only option I had on my first $400 purchase was 4 or 6 repayments over fortnightly periods (so 6 weeks or 8 weeks) and that I’d also been charged $3.50 additionally for t...Read more

Best way to get what you want on a budget
I've really enjoyed this form of buying. I've always been terrible at waiting- having to save- but now it's reversed, kind of like buying then saving!
I then want to pay things off quickly to buy the next fun thing.

Openpay took my payment twice
Appallingly Service Openpay took my payment twice when I rang to inform them, they told me I had to provide bank statements to prove my claim. Surely they have a computer system that would show my payment had been taken twice Never again ! I have Closed my account with Openpay. Disappointed and Disgusted

So far brilliant
I've used openpay for two transactions so far and they've been brilliant, had contact the customer service representative once due to volunteer work I had done meant my pay week was out and they were very accommodating at rescheduling the payment for the next week, I wasn't on hold for long and my query was sorted in matter of minutes both transactions explained the payment schedule ahead and the amount to be taken from my card on the said dates so far I can only praise the service I've received. However I will update my review in the future if anything changes.

Pay Smarter? NO, Pay Fees, Experience Inflexibility, Dropped Calls
Don't loose your card. They have no willingness to provide alternative payments. After multiple contacts they still attempt your card every day even both days of the weekend, and Charging you an escalating fee as they go. On my last call trying to negotiate a complete pay out, my call was dropped. Deleting this app, closing account my small purchase is doubled in size!

Good so far.
I found the app easy to use and so far I have no problems. I have only used this service once. Will see how things go with buying other products.

Account Locked
Recently, I have used the Openpay facility to purchase products from Bunnings. About payment of my purchases, I was wanting to change credit card options. The system was impossible to navigate, even though my cards were registered.
The end result was my account has been locked, shocking service, combined with incompetent technology within the app.
One star rating is to high.
Back to after pay..!!
Cheers..

Great way to pay something off
This is a great way to pay something off if you cant afford the lump sum but can afford the repayments with absolutely no interest at all and is so quick and easy to apply.
