Fabulous
The Thermocook has so many functions, and I am looking forward to exploring them all. It is not particularly intuitiive, so you need to use the instructions and cook book. The cook book instructions are not all that helpful.. for example, there is a picture of boiled eggs next to the boil function. But that isn't the way you do boiled eggs. The forum is helpful. Very helpful users and Froothie will answer your questions promptly.

Great kitchen companion!
After attending a Thermomix demonstration I was really impressed but couldn't justify the cost. After a lot of internet research I decided to try the Thermocook considering the 30 day money back grantee and I was lucky enough to get life time warranty. I am extremely happy with this machine. I love that I can steam vegetables, make sourdough and blitz absolutely anything in the one machine. The only downside is the recipe book, definitely needs upgrading and you can't blend at high speeds over 60 degrees. I understand it's a safety issue but for blending soup it's quite annoying having to wait for it to cool down.

Love it
I was torn about getting a Thermomix I couldn't justify the cost but when I saw the Thermocook at less than 1/2 the priceI thought I'd give it a go. Well, the minute TC arrived we have had an ongoing love affair! I use the Thermomix recipes without any problems, TC gets used most days and I love it. The instruction book wasn't very clear but I muddled through. I think he is as good as a Thermomix.

Views through the eyes of a newcomer!!
After researching the market in full and having 2 daughter-in-laws with Thermomix, decided to go with Thermocook Pro. Excellent service ordered Online one day and delivered the next. Now to start cooking recipes in the recipe book provided, however I look forward to improvements or online backup of recipes. Also adapting my own recipes to suit.
I am really looking forward to the future of "Thermo cooking".

Rivals the Thermomix!
After much deliberation I decided on the Thermocook Pro and could not be happier! My friends who have a Thermomix love their machine but they think it is still not really worth the $2000. When I Froothie were having a 40% sale I could not resist! I've had it now for nearly 3 months and could safely say it is one of my most used appliances. It whips smoothies and soups up in no time and steams food to perfection. The steamer add on is made of stainless steel which I prefer over plastic but it does get hot very quickly so you must use it with cau...Read more
tion. The only down side is the noise. You can't talk over the top of it when it is chopping and even when it is stirring it can be quite loud. Other than that I am very satisfied with the performance so far and considering this is the first version I am sure they will keep getting better and better!.Similar opinion? Very happy with the machine quality - recipe book needs some work
Very versatile. Consistent stirring good for custards and things like that. Was pleasantly surprised with how easy it made bread and pastry. Have made stew and risotto and even a cake. And of course smoothies are fantastic. I had to work out rice cooking as some of the grains come through the steaming basket. Recipe book could be improved: the index at the back should be alphabetical; some of the times seems a bit hot or long (rice not in the steam basket burns) as did custard (so I just reduced the time and all fine). I got an extra bowl which...Read more
I don't use that much but am glad I have it. I don't use it daily but will use it at least four times a week. I did quite a bit of research and thought hard about the Thermomix. Even though I have only seen the Thermomix in demonstration, I don't think there would be much difference in the machines. There may be a difference in the recipes. But I am very happy to have bought this one - I am sufficiently confident in my cooking to work recipes out.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Definitely buy one.
I used to own a thermomix, and the only difference is that the scales are separate from the machine, meaning we need to place the jug on the scales to weigh things- still, totally easy! I use it everyday, for everything from boiling eggs to making meals. I love it!

We love our Thermocook
The Thermocook has met our expectations and more. The raw cheesecakes made in it have been amazing! Easy to clean using the self clean cycle. We cook a lot of meals in bulk and do big cook ups on weekends so a bigger jug would be bonus for batch cooking some soups, stews and casseroles this winter. The Thermocook is a great addition to our kitchen and we use is most days.

I'm happy with it.
The pricing is a bit of a trick - RRP$1600 but it sells for $850. Re the 30 day return with free postage, it has to be in the same condition it arrived on your doorstep. Keep all the boxes and plastic bags, etc. Recipe book has some issues so you have to learn what recipes work and don't work. The recipe book refers to the Blending bowl and Mixing bowl. I eventually found out they are the same thing. It is very useful to purchase a second bowl. I have one set up with the cutting blades and one set up with the kneading attachment saving me const...Read more
antly swapping. The interface is quite fussy, not well designed. In the end I just ditched the recipes. It kneads quite well but 'walks'. Sauteeing is fine but you have to be careful it doesn't burn on the base. Apparently using the butterfly can help with sauces. Chopping is fine as long the amount is quite large. Same goes for the pureeing. Although I have not used any of the rival brands, I can't compare. I decided not to return it and it is a useful adjunct to my kitchen. The recipe book and the user interface is what really lets it down. Also, it turns itself off when not used which is good but it hums until you flick the switch. The scales which are attractive but can turn themselves off while you are in the middle of measuring something.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

We use it every day and make everything from scratch
We bought the Thermocook as we were starting to have a healthier lifestyle but the food prep was taking way too much time. I already own a Froothie blender and juicer and really love their appliances and customer service. We decided to give the Thermocook a go, hoping it would save some time. I've been blown away by how much we've used it, if we could have two I'd get another! We make, sauces, dressings, soups, slow cooking, stews, dips, yoghurt, rice raw slices and cakes, smoothies and constantly come up with new recipes and ways to use it. I ...Read more
was worried it might take up space in our tiny kitchen but we got rid of all our old appliances (stand mixer, rice cooker, food processor) and there is now more space than we had to start with. I've recommended it to all our friends and family and would buy again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent all-in-one kitchen gadget!!!
After many hours spent reading reviews on the Thermocook Pro & it's rivals I took the plunge, purchased one online from www.froothie.com.au & even scored 50% off at the time. I use this most days for many different quick meals, smoothies, etc. & haven't looked back. Well done OPTIMUM, very happy!!

Although I have been on holidays and not had the opportunity to use my Optimum I can't recommend it enough as it is so easy to use for so many uses and found the steamer excellent and cleaning is a breeze. Best appliance in my kitchen and found I could discard many appliances.

I had no idea we would use it soo much.
The Thermocook is part of our family. It gets used everyday without fail for smoothies, curries, baby veggies, custard, bolognese, bread, butter, lemon curd, blitzing, mixing, and then it cleans itself!
Having small children in the home I feel safer setting the Thermocook to do dinner while I get kids bathed. No naked flames or exposed boiling pots.

Making cooking easier for families.
Making cooking easier. All your ingredients in 1 pot making washing up minimal. I love this as your doing everything from scratch making superb tasty dishes making you feel like a culinary chef. It would be good if the pot was slightly bigger but still big enough to feed a family of 4 with no problem. Also would love to see more recipes.
This appliance is so easy to clean just add water turn on and done. Love love love this machine.

my kitchen assistant - love it
I did a lot of research before taking the plunge - am not sorry. Could not justify spending the cost of the thermomix and this machine does many of the same things and even slow cooks which its competitor doesn't do. I haven't used it as much as I could as we have been away, but will definitely try more recipes soon.
Chopping is fantastic and also very quick. There are a few hot spots where food tends to stick and that can be a bit hard to remove. The self clean works well depending on what I have done with it, although I do sometimes need to scrub the burn marks.

Fantastic Machine! Love it!
I've been thermocooking for a few years now with a cheap machine that did a okay job. When I saw this advertised at such a reasonable price with a stainless steel steamer I just had to investigate further. I saw the great reviews of other Froothie products and decided to take the plunge and upgrade my old machine.
The parts are of a high quality especially compared with my cheapie machine, the stainless steel steamer is one my favourite things about it. I just don't like using plastic at high heats not matter how safe they say they are.

Fantastic product, highly recommend.
The thermocook is fantastic at chopping and so quick at getting to temperature. Unfortunately the machine has a few hot spots in the bottom of the bowl, but is easily forgiven with how easy it is to use and how well it performs.
The thermocook is very easy to clean, the machine had a self clean mode at stated in the manual, that gets rid of most of the lefts and the the bowl just needs a little scrub and rinse.

I love my thermocook
I bought my thermocook just before Christmas and have used it nearly everyday since (except when we have been away on holiday). I am a reasonably adventurous cook and this machine has opened up a whole new world of recipes which I may never have otherwise tried. I love the sorbets it makes and even enjoy meals cooked with meat in the steaming basket or trays which is a big deal for me as I grew up being told meat always had to be browned for flavour. My husband's comment to me after a few weeks was " this is probably the best $800 we have spent recently". I am very happy with my machine and would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying one.

Really enjoying making cakes that actually rise!!!
My cakes rise now and even My husband is impressed with it and it takes a bit to convince him. He didn't talk to me for a week after I bought the machine but he actually was happy when I steamed crabs for tea one night. The kids use it all the time and 4 other people I have talked to around here have bought one instead of a Thermo Mix.

Was very tentative to pay this much but so glad I did
If you love cooking - but would never dream of paying the price of a Thermomix - this is your machine. I have 8 adults living at home together and it is a brilliant time saver in so many ways - so glad I asked my family to buy this for my birthday

How do I attach the kneeing device in the bowel. I cannot take the blade attachment in the 1st place to insert it. This is the 1st time I want to bake bread with my ThermoCook

OK. t;urn bowl upside down, there is a black plastic half wheely thing. turn this one way or another and this will release the blade. place the M kneader where the other came out from and reinsert the wheely thing, turn to lock. Hope this helps otherwise I can be more specific. cheers.
