OK. t;urn bowl upside down, there is a black plastic half wheely thing. turn this one way or another and this will release the blade. place the M kneader where the other came out from and reinsert the wheely thing, turn to lock. Hope this helps otherwise I can be more specific. cheers.

I used my Optimum ThermoCook - 20-in-1 Multifunction for about a year and it TOTALLY STOPPED!!! Error E11, does anyone know what is going on?? So disappointed with this product!!!

Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hello Sigal, Error 11 means that the content in the jug is too hot which means the pulse function cannot be used. Please let the food cool down and then use the pulse function again :) You can find more info about this in the product manual on page 18 :)

what is the difference between the blender vs cooking jar ?

Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hi Pauline, the 2l stainless steel jar can be used for blending and cooking, however, some recipes require two jars so you can purchase an extra one via our online shop. Here is the ThermoCook Manual if you are interested: http://optimumappliances.com/assets/manual_pdf/EN/ATH_ThermoCook_Manual_Latest_01.pdf

The steamer doesn’t need to be locked in place to work. Just place it on and set to steam

Yes, worked out that the steamer didn't need to be locked even before Renae provided the answer. But the instructions were no help. They insisted it needed to be locked!

I'm wondering whether Thermocook can slice (thin slice) food like carrot or potato?

2 answers
Urta
Urta

No, it doesn't slice. It blends, coarsely if you pulse for a few seconds, or purees if you blend it for a longer period.
It has no slicing blade.

Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hello Jamie, better late than never :)
You can chop/mill/mix your ingredients with the ThermoCook + it has many more features. But you cannot create thin slices. To be able to achieve this I recommend the electric mandoline slicer, more info here: https://www.froothie.com.au/electric-slicer

Hope that helps!

Is the dish on the top necessary. How often do you use it? Is it only for styrfried meals? Or stews?
Should I buy one as I do not have it?

Hi Chriss and please accept my apologies for the delayed response. It seems this question was missed till now.

The Upper Steamer with the Lid helps you steam more ingredients at once hence, saving you time and enabling the possibility to mix the aroma of veggies and other ingredients such as meats. It is ultimately up to you if you want to prepare such dishes. For example, you can find a short recipe video on Steamed Veggies with Trout File made in the Thermocook which shows the importance of being able to steam both ingredients (side and main) at the same time.

How come you do not have it? :-)

Cheers to your health!

I am confused with the need for 2 jugs. Just got my new Thermocook and notice in the recipe book that I should now purchase a jug if I am to do most of the recipes correct !!!! Can I just use the one jug and pour things out or do I really need to purchase another jug. What is the difference between the Blender jug and the cooking jug, and can I use the jug that came with the machine for these two functions?

1 answer
Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hello Juliejuice1, thank you for your message. You can of course just use one single jug for any recipes you wish to make and you do not have to automatically buy a second jug. There is only one type of jug for the ThermoCook and you simply need to change the attachment for it to perform various functions. We hope this helps but if you need further information, please contact us as [email protected]. We hope this helps :)

How do you cook rice? I looked in the recipe book and it says to put it in the cooking basket, but my rice falls through the holes. I tried 2 different types of rice. Any help here please?

1 answer

Mario N.Optimum Appliances

Hi ShezaMac, better late than never :-) Firstly, please accept my apologies for the delayed response. It seems this question was missed due to a technical issue with our inbox.

The Thermocook Cooking Basket is designed to hold only long grain rice as indeed smaller grain rice might fall through the wholes. Our engineers mentioned you could still cook smaller grain rice, you just have to be careful when placing it in the basket or try to apply a bit of water to the rice so the grains stick to one another :-)

Hope this helped & cheers to your health!
