Does the thermocook do sou vide?
Hello Alf, the ThermoCook does not have a Sous Vide function
Hi, Can you tell me which is the most recent model of the Optimum Thermocook please? Thanks
Pieternella
Sure thing Elly :)

My themopro keeps jumping to DIY and the start button wont work?
Hey Allison, your product seems faulty however we do not distribute that brand, we sell the ThermoCook, a different (and better ;-) ) brand. However I am still keen to help, simply email me to [email protected] and I will see how I can help you get the matter resolved :-)
I can't get the machine to "lock" using the steaming basket in place of the lid. What am I doing wrong?
The steamer doesn’t need to be locked in place to work. Just place it on and set to steam
Hey Peter, sorry for the delayed response. Seems this question was missed. Is everything in order? Did you manage to get it working? :-)
If not, please let me know and we will sort it out together.
Cheers to your health!

Yes, worked out that the steamer didn't need to be locked even before Renae provided the answer. But the instructions were no help. They insisted it needed to be locked!
I'm wondering whether Thermocook can slice (thin slice) food like carrot or potato?
No, it doesn't slice. It blends, coarsely if you pulse for a few seconds, or purees if you blend it for a longer period.
It has no slicing blade.
Hello Jamie, better late than never :)
You can chop/mill/mix your ingredients with the ThermoCook + it has many more features. But you cannot create thin slices. To be able to achieve this I recommend the electric mandoline slicer, more info here: https://www.froothie.com.au/electric-slicer
Hope that helps!
Is the dish on the top necessary. How often do you use it? Is it only for styrfried meals? Or stews?
Should I buy one as I do not have it?

Hi Chriss and please accept my apologies for the delayed response. It seems this question was missed till now.
The Upper Steamer with the Lid helps you steam more ingredients at once hence, saving you time and enabling the possibility to mix the aroma of veggies and other ingredients such as meats. It is ultimately up to you if you want to prepare such dishes. For example, you can find a short recipe video on Steamed Veggies with Trout File made in the Thermocook which shows the importance of being able to steam both ingredients (side and main) at the same time.

How come you do not have it? :-)
Cheers to your health!

I am confused with the need for 2 jugs. Just got my new Thermocook and notice in the recipe book that I should now purchase a jug if I am to do most of the recipes correct !!!! Can I just use the one jug and pour things out or do I really need to purchase another jug. What is the difference between the Blender jug and the cooking jug, and can I use the jug that came with the machine for these two functions?
Hello Juliejuice1, thank you for your message. You can of course just use one single jug for any recipes you wish to make and you do not have to automatically buy a second jug. There is only one type of jug for the ThermoCook and you simply need to change the attachment for it to perform various functions. We hope this helps but if you need further information, please contact us as [email protected]. We hope this helps :)
How do you cook rice? I looked in the recipe book and it says to put it in the cooking basket, but my rice falls through the holes. I tried 2 different types of rice. Any help here please?
Hi ShezaMac, better late than never :-) Firstly, please accept my apologies for the delayed response. It seems this question was missed due to a technical issue with our inbox.
The Thermocook Cooking Basket is designed to hold only long grain rice as indeed smaller grain rice might fall through the wholes. Our engineers mentioned you could still cook smaller grain rice, you just have to be careful when placing it in the basket or try to apply a bit of water to the rice so the grains stick to one another :-)
Hope this helped & cheers to your health!

What is the difference between a thermocook and a thermo Pro is it only that it has the mixing bowl if so can the mixing bowl be purchased on its own and added to a thermo cook.
Hello Wendy,
Thank you for your question. There is only one version of the ThermoCook Pro and you can find the details on the link below:
https://www.froothie.com.au/the-optimum-thermocook-multi-function-cooking-appliance
Please contact our customer service team at [email protected] if you have any questions and they will gladly assist :)
Why my THERMOCOOK always has E02 on the screen and it stops working. I have checked everywhere is dry and make sure it's closed and place in the right position. I just don't know why, how can I fix this problem? Thanks
Hello Sophia,
Thank you for your message.
The E02 error message means that the temperature sensor is missing. One of the reasons might be that the jar is not placed correctly. Please, try to re-assemble the jug and make sure it is fixed properly and tightly in place. If this will not solve out the issue, you can contact our technical support team directly using this link: http://www.froothieinternational.com/warranty.php
We hope this helps but feel free to contact our customer support team directly via [email protected] :)
