The most stupid device I own
This device wins the title of being the most stupid device I have ever owned.
Without a power on/off button in the device itself, and the daily trouble that i face to get it starting in the right way, while the trouble shooting instructions requesting you to restart the device in this occasion, this is just stupid.
It happens every day to me, sometimes the device requests to start configuration and set up from the beginning asking for the network passwords and the activation codes, and start searching for the channels again.

Read morep support, and they confirm that the only way to restart it is to get up and take the power cable out of the device and wait for 10 seconds then put it in again. Let alone if you accidentally pulled the internet cable out in the dark instead, or the trouble finding the plug in spot in the back of the device again, this is just stupid. Then, why does it face troubles restarting properly at the first place? I found it a very common problem in between other fetch device users, by researching the internet. Also, one more thing, sometimes you try to start the divice and you find he Xbox started instead, very common problem too. The reason I m not giving this device a 1 star review is that once you succeed to get it starting after 10-15 minutes, it is a good device to navigate in software, and has got few good options that I enjoy. Also the picture is stable and with a very good quality

Fetch tv
We have been trying for six months to get optus to fix our nbn and more than six weeks to get Optus to fix our Fetch tv. We have never had so many problems with Optus and their equipment and service. Every time we call, it’s a different story as to what the problem is.
Don’t put yourself through the many many problems we and many others have. Google the many bad reviews and see for yourself, go with someone who provides the service you want.

It does OK
We had our Fetch TV as part of the internet bundle with OPTUS and we got all of the channels. I was expecting that it would be connected via cable like foxtel but it's streaming through the internet which most of the time gives it a terrible quality because it would depend on the strength of your internet. The channels that they have available are OK, I like to watch my MTV music channels, disney channel and a few others but I suppose that they can probably invest in adding more channels to be able to compete with foxtel. Read moreave available every month is so old and most of them are rubbish, it's things that you see on stan and netflix, they should put in newer and better rated movies since we are paying money for this service! I just like how they have the features of series tags, recordings, fast forwarding, pausing and rewinding like foxtel but that's probably about it. I do recommend it if you want some extra channels at a low price since foxtel is charging a ridiculous amount but at the same time, it's not a must-have that I would recommend.- 4 reviews

hopeless hopeless hopeless
optus has cut off my home phone for not paying the bill even though it is direct debit and never even notified me that i owed them any money just cut off phone when i called after about an hour i get an indian girl who cant speak very good english and ten minutes on phone with her and still no wiser just looking on internet for new provider had enough

Hopeless - stay away from Optus!!
We are now on our third replacement Fetch TV setbox - we only have it so we can watch the EPL. What a joke that is - have not been able to access Fetch for two weeks now. And oh boy ... I really have to gird my loins to ring Optus 'technical support' - after waiting for half an hour each time (I have wasted literally hours of my life trying to contact Optus support) I end up speaking to someone from India whom I CANNOT understand, who speaks too fast to make up for an inability to communicate in English, and who has NO KNOWLEDGE of Fetch TV iss...

Waste of time!
So we took up the offer of Fetch from Optus. Its useless. Had to reset the box almost every time we used it. The first one e got was faulty - the second box was next to no good. We had to take the power out cord out and reset it again and again. Even though the box was free, we have disconnected it and have boxed it up. We have advised Optus we don't want it - they said they will send a satchel out for us to put it in and have it sent it back to Optus. The satchel has never arrived - 2 months later.... We have a useless box that is just haunting us by being there....

Way better than expected
I have a 33 mega bit connection with fibre to the node. I was not expecting much, but the tv shows have never distorted or lagged. The kids love the push and rewind feature and we have the kids pack. Install was easy and exceeded my expectations. The free 30 movies per month are a good selection but not many kids movies as I would like to see.

Optus support
One hour to ask a simple question related to when I could change my tv package. It is impossible to speak to anyone when calling 133937, you are automatically redirected at best to the chat option. And here is the trick: no one on the help desk support team knows about Tv package, they are all from the NBN and cable billing team. It took 55 minutes to get there, I was so furious that the last person I allowed to chat with, accepted to call the right service to get me an answer. And you wonder why Netflix is so successful?
Absolutely Pathetic!
DO NOT BUY IT!
The entire sequence of events felt wrong to begin with. The technician came with the modem and the netgear box before the Fetch TV box had even arrived which seems strange as it would be more logical for the technician to come with the entire bundle.
Having connected the TV box, the modem seems incapable of supporting FTA channels as it would shut down every 5-10 minutes whenever the television is turned on. Thats not to mention that the home phone has yet to connect!
The technical support team we called tried their best however there were obvious systemic problems within the department as I was forced to transfer back and forth with no one being able to help me with my issue.

Conditioning kids!
Who gives you the right to show my child programs with mating and relationships in the title with drug references and nudity!!!! I've only bought a kids package no add ons. You have no right and I'm disgusted that I've payed good money and you think its to teach my five year old about mating and drugs!! Conditioning kids is not OK and you can have your box lol i meant fetch box back!!
Poor picture quality
Got the fetch mighty 2 months ago. I have not been able to watch FTA channels through it as the picture is unwatchable. I have contacted optus 3 times about it and they have been unable to solve the issue. The tv picture is perfect when I plug direct into samsung tv. I have tried a booster, quad cable and even an antenna tech. It has cost me over 250 so far in troubleshooting this issue.
Words fail me! One month no tv, internet or phone!
We subscribed for the current Optus bundle including fetch tv. It has now been a month and we still have no tv, no telephone and no wifi. It was near impossible to speak to an actual person within Optus and then when you finally unlock the mystery of speaking to a person you wait 20 to 40 minutes to speak to an ill informed telephone operator (this cannot possibly be classified as customer service) based in India, the Phillippines or Malaysia. Don’t waste your money
Wow this product is CRAP! I’m on my second replacement fetch tv! First one the fta tv reception was terrible! I know it was the box as everything else perfect and had a crystal clear picture. After contacting Optus...30min wait time and numerous number pushing to even get to where I needed to be, the man said the device was faulty and he’d send a replacement! And boy the 2nd one ain’t much better. This must be a serious issue with these. I’ve contacted Optus again only this time while saying my last name the man impolitely called me a names! After that I immediately asked to be put through to disconnections only to not be able to understand the women on other end.
I strongly dislike Optus! Been with them less than a week and never again.

Not worth the trouble. Cannot Add Channel Packs
Not a bad Tv Box but it is too difficult to add a channel pack. Called them up and it takes them upto 2 weeks to get a channel pack on. Then next day they take it off. Not worth the trouble and wish I stuck with Foxtel instead of Fetch Tv. Overpriced and too much trouble!!!!!!!

OK but a but pricey
I have the nbn optus fetch package which is a bit over priced for what I receive and the nbn network is slow and sometimes the service fails. The optus help team are very unreliable and cant help whenever u call. The fetch channels are ok and i like how you can record a rewind live tv.

Not happy with Optus so have changed
Changed address 18 months ago. Wanted to send Fetch box back but they sent the return bag to my old address. Charged me for the non compliant. Never contact me re this, I had find the charge on my statement. If this the way that they treat once loyal customers of fifteen plus years then I will never return to Optus.
Terrible haven’t received fetch box been waiting nearly 3 months
Terrible service as been waiting for our fetch box to arrive for nearly 3 months keeping telling us it’s on its way not good enough....
Piece of junk
Never up to date with streaming and always buffering. Convoluted app that is full of previous highlights from years gone by. Terrible is an understatement.
Very Poor Fetch Box hardware
For the last year, when I have been away for at least three days, I return to the frustrating Fetch Box tantrum of no Optus TV, which I pay for every day, of course. Surely, any large telecommunication company can supply a working box which will not continually stuff up after 2 years and die a lingering demise. Maybe the box is meant to malfunction, so people will be coerced to part with money for a replacement box. Maybe, just poor quality control.
P.S. At least Optus swiftly replaced the troublesome Fetch TV box with another that appears the same. Time will tell if their problem is resolved.

Great Service and Product
Have signed up to big bundle nearly 2 yrs ago on a 2 year contract.
Very happy with support and overhaul performance.
Transparency needed
Connected up at new location last night after a 9 month break. I wonder why the operator did not tell me channel availability had changed? I agreed to a sports pack as I thought it was an added feature. Its not so i immediately cancelled it on screen and I now have to pay an extra $20 per month for "the ultimate" package which was included before! Add insult to injury, I can't "purchase" for 48 hours after setup. I am quite disappointed and feel this is a deception just to bump up price without having to tell you before you commit.

BRILIANT PACKAGE
YES TV box fantastic, speed and functionality is sensational. for $80 a month can get NBN optus sport and espn channels. Connection process smooth. EPL is good, have NFL on espn and US open tennis plus tennis from around the world. Never had foxtel, and why would you need to with this product.

Useless piece of crap!
Do not get Optus Fetch TV it's a useless piece of crap & Optus don't care! No help what's so ever. Why can't Optus employ Australians or at the very least someone who speaks clear English instead of overseas people with poor English.

Good but a few bugs
I updated my NBN to get a new modem and to my surprise was able to get a free set top Fetch Mighty box, which included a free 'channel pack'. I like having this box as I get free Premier league soccer direct. Before I had to use my apple tv to 'airplay' from my Imac. I don't like the 'TV' remote because I have lost a lot of functionality from my original Samsung remote. Also I have found that Netflix produces a 'red' screen. I have been advised by Optus how to fix this, however having to reset the box every day or so is not a good fix as far as I am concerned. I tend to use my smart TV app for netflix as I have no problems. I am happy with the 1TB hard disk and so far all recordings have been successful.
