Light And Easy To Use
This is great to use. Its built light and extremely easy to maneuver. It will choke with long grass so you need to keep up regular lawn maintenance. It runs for about 15-20 minutes before the battery is down so you need to be quick. I do the front yard one day and the back another time. It is easy as pie to operate and I am happy with it.

Great for a small yard
This mower is a godsend, it’s light and easy to handle no struggling with pull starts and petrol just a simple push of the button and away you go. While it’s a great lawn mower it is only suitable to good conditions ( lawn that’s regularly maintained ) it’s not suitable for long grass or rough terrain but being as good as it is it makes mowing a good lawn effortless. The battery lasts about 15 minutes just long enough to whip around ( we have about 200sqm of lawn and a 10 meter street frontage ) and it does it all with no problems.

Very good for the price
The mower does its job. It has been with me for four years now. It is a great mower for personal use, I am not sure what it does for a professional job. Pretty cheap. The blade wears off with usage, but then considering it's price that is acceptable. It is not very easy to maneuver mainly due to the cord, so it's mostly an electric mower drawback. Easy to operate. The rubbish collector attached to the back comes in two pieces that needs to be fixed together(part of DIY), so that doesn't stay long together. This is the only thing that should have been better definitely. Maintenance is almost none. Safe to use.

Ozito 1500w electric lawn
First time using electric lawn, i got Ozito 1500W model from Bunning $150, this is light weigth and pretty good for small area, but a bit of inconevient that you must be careful and lift up the wire, i also prefer wireless but a bit of concern about the battery life and reliabilty therefore go for wired.

Very happy with it
Just got this mower after my old petrol one died and reading reviews online. Really good for the price. 15 minutes and simple to put together. Power lead not really a problem, just change the way you mow so that the lead is always behind on the part you've already mowed. Very light weight, easy to maneuver even one handed. Cuts really good and seems to have plenty of power.

Great Mower for the price
For an electric mower:
1. It cuts very well.
2. It is easy to maneuver the mower however the cord is a bit of a pain and you need to be mindful of same.
3. No issues re maintenance to date but it was a bit of a pin putting the catcher together.

Ozito 1400w 190mm electric edger
The edger is more plastic then anything else. Its fragile as the plastic parts warp and twist. Bunnings sell them but don't stock replacement blades.
Further, if you try to replace the blade yourself (if you do find a distributor) the lock nut is so tight, you end up stripping the nut to remove the blade.

Excellent mower.
I bought this when I moved to my new house. I was in two minds before the purchase, as I was not sure whether to go for a petrol or electric mower. However, now having started using this, I'm extremely happy with my decision. It was cheap but works extremely well every time.

Just brought this fantastic Ozito kit from Bunnings Cessnock. Took it home popped it all together and was blown away. It did a perfect job. Now I have to fight my son over who will be doing the lawn.

Good value
Cutting evenly on grass and five easy adjustments for different grass length. The mower itself is light weight with a large bin. Common issue with any other electric mower is the power cable tends to get in the way. ELM-1400 is a bit lacking in power, hard to push for longer grass, but for the cheap price it does the job well enough.

Great little mower. quiet
Easy to use, sometimes blocks but needs tp start cutting at higher level.1st and work your way down. 2 batterries and.2 chargers come in the box. assembly is the difficulpart and i had tp take it yo bunnings and have them assemble it, which was also an.issue with the staff

Its good for a small lawn
The lawn cut my small lawn perfectly! it is a good mower but the bad thing is, the grass catcher (looks like a cat cage) is really hard to put together, i still have not done it or it could just be that the plastic melted in transport of the mower.

Loanmower Ozito
this mower made my life whole lot easier especially when it doesn't need any maintenance and it's still working like day one. the blades are well guarder and safety wise it is highly rated. the flapper though on top of the container is blowing off too soon and giving false impression of the amount of the cut grass inside, they just need to make it heavier so it doesn't pup easily.

Great and cheap machine
We bought it from bunnings a few months ago and it is really reliable.
There are 5 levels of gear to choose from, in order to fit different types of grass.
The machine is easy to start and operate by simply pressing a start button. The best of this machine is it comes with a 5 year replacement warranty.

Great for my lawn!
Bought it from Bunnings, the first one died out in 3 months, went back and got a replacement (3years warranty), has been working great since then.
Easy to manage, light weight and does the job, but might struggle with thick grass!!
Can be cleaned fairly easily too, with height adjustment for the right cut.

Average Lawn Mower from Ozito
Ozito 1400W Lawn Mower will do the job for small lawns and consider this product as just average and may need bit more power to cut thick lawns as struggling some times if grass is taller. Size also bit bulky but overall happy for the price as it comes with 3 year warranty as well.

Good lawn mower for small-medium gardens
I purchased the mower from Bunnings for $149 last year (July) I have a small backyard and a medium sized front lawn. This mower is perfect for me, its small, lightweight and does the job. The grass catcher is probably a bit too small for my needs, but I'd much rather empty it twice than buy a bigger mower.
The mower itself does a really nice job, it has a few differed mower heights which help with trimming any type of grass at any stage.

Perfect for small areas
Excellent product for small areas, does a pretty decent job, and is cheap. Warranty is amazing, 3 years replacement. Fairly easy to use, possible to regulate the height, and quiet operation comparing to the non-electric ones. Not much maintenance to do, just do a bit of cleaning after each use and it should last forever.

Can i getspare part for Ozita 1400 watt electric mower for the brushes for the motor

I have tried with agency - run by unfriendly people and they advised that It would be cheaper to buy their crap-product new then spare parts and maintenance. PRESUMABLY they prefer to through away and increase our Junk to export (No country would like to accept - recycled waste). Please write to Bunnings to stop feeding low quality products to Australian market.

When we switch on the motor. The blades are not automatically rotating... is it normal ... or it should automatically rotate ??
3 answers
I believe it should be unless the motor feels the blade is too heavy or Over Loaded .
So when we start the machine ... the blades should automatically rotate or not ?
Your blade should rotate but I suspect the belt is broken. These machines have a small pulley at the bottom of the motor which in turn drives a larger pulley, located beside it, by means of a belt. You can see it in the pdf at http://cdn0.blocksassets.com/assets/ozito/ozito-product-manuals/oD287rXQZeFMnvZ/ELM-300-Spare-Parts.pdf. To access the belt follow the instructions written by Ken in reply to Graham below. Unfortunately Ozito do not supply these belts - because they don't want us to fix them instead they want us to buy a new one and replace it in about four years (if it lasts that long). If the belt is not broken but you can hear a slipping sound then I suspect you have a problem with a bearing. The shaft which holds the blade had three bearings on it. There are two roller bearings, one at the top of the shaft and one at the bottom just above the blade. If they are faulty it would be possible to replace them with generic ones from a bearing supplier. Give them a shot of WD40 and see if that frees them up. If the belt is not broken and after oiling those two bearings you still cannot turn the large pulley then the fault will lie in the larger bearing inside the hub of the large pulley. This bearing consists of three arms shaped as an arc and located behind each other. Each arm has a bearing similar to the style of bearing in the big end of a car motor. I found that it appears that when the unit is assembled these bearings are packed with grease which allows them to ride around the main shaft (The same one which has the other bearings). These three arms are held in place with pressure from a spring on each. Why this set of bearings is even there is a mystery to me but they appear to be the reason why the pulley won't turn. The grease becomes dry and hard with time and binds the bearing surfaces to the shaft. I found the bearings become rough and a little pitted and the surface of the shaft has gunk adhering to it. You can't replace these bearings because you can't buy them (of course you could if they would supply the damn things). I cleaned the shaft and bearings with turps and sanded the sufaces with 400 grade wet and dry sandpaper to remove the rough surfaces and then packed them with grease. Now the big problem - how to get at them. You need to remove the large pulley which is a downright sod to get at. If you look carefully at the pulley you will see that it is a nylon plastic unit which fits over a central nylon unit on the shaft. This larger outer unit houses the springs which put pressure in the above described bearings. You need to remove this pulley from the unit but you don't need to remove the inner nylon hub. If you look at the unit from the side you will see that the large nylon pulley is attached to a metal plate by three screws, which seem impossible to remove, but all is not lost. You will find a small hole in the housing above the screws, and aligning with the screws when the hub is turned. Just use a screwdriver and long nose pliers to remove the screws. Carefully remove the pulley so as not to loose the springs and then you can clean everything up and repair it as I described. If the hub is very tight or jammed as I described spray it with WD40 (all this worked for me).
Another fault I notice people complaining about is intermittent starting or just failing to start. One problem could be a broken wire but I noticed these machines have a capacitor on the housing in front of the motor and faulty capacitors have been known to cause the troubles complained of. If that is the fault you could probably buy one of the same value from Jaycar but may have to use glue such as araldite to hold it in place. Hope that helps......Allan
