Happy Wife, Happy Life!!!
We have had this vacuum for nearly 1 Year now. I will be the first to admin that my wife does all the vacuuming in our house. She used this model vacuum when working for a short time as a school cleaner and loved it. It is not too heavy and the padding on the back and shoulder straps are really good. My wife finds it so easy to clean the house with this on her back compared to dragging a vacuum cleaner from room to room. I have only used it a few times but the suction is great.

Superpro 700 Duo...Wow factor!....compared to other vacuums I have owned.
This is a review for a duo model (ability to suck up some moisture without damaging the machine). First use today. Wow was the first word that came out of my mouth after 15 seconds and still the same 30mins later! The suction was amazing compared to any other unit I have owned - including ones with turbo heads to get the extra suction. I used it on carpet and tiles in a 230m sq house. It runs rings around my 5 year old Miele drag-around vac that cost more than this. Backpack set up is far superior than dragging the Miele around the floors. It w...Read more
as not heavy to walk around with. (I am 167 and 59kgs). Extra long cord is a bonus. Downside for me was where the accessories are stored on the side of the hip wrap towards the back.....when I was putting the unit on my back they kept popping out. I can live with that tho' as the performance and otherwise ease of use compensates. It is as loud as my old expensive Miele vac which is not overly loud. Extremely easy to manouver around and under furniture. Good suction into corners and along skirting boards. My only criticism/suggestion is that the accessories storage is more towards the front rather than at the back so I can reach them more easily and they don't pop out when I am slinging the unit onto my back.7 comments

We're so glad we bought this
We were utterly sick of pull behind cannister vacuum cleaners at home. One day I was watching a cleaner vacuum out a restaurant and he used a backpack vacuum. It looked effortless. We ended up buying the Pacvac based on reviews we have read.
For domestic use, these things are brilliant. With its extra long chord, and the fact that you don't have to stop every 10 seconds to pull the canister unit along, or move it around chairs, we can do the whole house in half the time it took with our old vac. No kidding - half the time. Also, you'...Read more
re not damaging your precious furniture. The unit itself is easy to put on and isn't excessively heavy. Suction is very strong and the suction hose and accessories have lasted well without any breakages after over a year of use. Emptying the bag is simple and we get about 4 uses before we have to change the paper bag and dozens of uses before we have to clean the felt bag. Bags are not expensive. We have no real complaints other than it's difficult to vacuum the car with one of these. We both highly recommend this unit. You won't be sorry, especially if you have lots of furniture in your place that you have to manoeuvre around.1 comment

2nd Pacvac in as many years
I am a cleaner and run my own business, the vac gets a pretty hard work out averaging 3-5 hours per day but nevertheless I would expect it to last longer than this. I purchased the Superpro 700 in January this year, today it simply stopped working! I find it to be very loud, I actually use earmuffs as it so loud as well as being quite heavy. Overall I am not very happy with it and will be looking at another brand to replace this one.

One of the best machines for commerical or household use
I have used my Pacvac in a commercial environment for around 3 years and I've only had to replace the hose and foot recently. The machine is a very comfortable fit with the belts that go around your waist assisting in supporting your back. Because you are carrying the machine on your back, you can complete the job a lot quicker than a cumbersome floor machine that you need to pull constantly. I use a 20 metre extension on mine which covers a large house, even going upstairs to vacuum top floor when plugged in downstairs. My motor is still ...Read more

I purchased two of these for a small cleaning business that i run. They get used 30 minutes a day 364 days a year. Even though I thought they were a good machine i would expect the motor not to die within 9 months of the warranty running out.Belts on the harness also wore quickly

Motor longevity is an integral part of our design and that is why we continue to use proven European motor technology. We believe our motors are the best in the industry. They are guaranteed for 350 hours of use (or 2 years). It sounds like your vacuums may be close to around 495 hours of use and this extended motor life is not uncommon when customers maintain their machines well. Are you experiencing the same issues with both machines? We would love for you to contact us direct on (08) 9479 1444 to speak with one of our sales team. We can then further ascertain the problem and work through the best way to help you. We would also love to talk more to you about the belts on the harness wearing. We have not heard of this issue before and would like to see if there are any improvements we can make. Again, thank you for your feedback. Pacvac is the leading manufacturer of back pack vacuums in the world and that is largely based on the important feedback we get from our customers. We hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards The Pacvac Teamhave been contacted by pacvac and they will fix my vacuum under warranty. couldn't be happier with their customer service. will buy another machine as I am so impressed with their prompt and friendly manner in which they help their customers out.

Unreliable, nosel breaks and motor overheats
I have used about 4 of these vacs and each one has died a premature death. The motors over heat far too quickly, and the nosel attching to the floor breaks and had to be taped. In one of the machines the electric socket came out of the machine and gave the operator an electric shock. Yes, they are cheap but only last 4-5 months.

We pride ourselves on designing and manufacturing reliable and robust products and hence we are surprised by your recent review of our Superpro 700 back pack vacuum cleaner. It is very rare for this number of machines to suffer the same repeated issues and we would like to hear your feedback in more detail to better ascertain the cause of these problems. Pacvac’s back pack vacuums have been tested and are fitted with features which will in most instances (if maintained and used correctly) prevent these factors from occurring. For example: - All of our back pack vacuum cleaners are tested and approved to meet the required electrical safety standards to ensure operator safety. This includes elements such as our rubberised cord restraint which prevents the power cord connection from bearing load when pulled on with unexpected force, hence preventing disconnection of the cord and/or damage to the power socket on the machine. - The motor within the Superpro 700 is a premium motor and if the machine is maintained in accordance with the instructions provided within the Product and Training Manual (i.e. filters and bags are emptied and replaced as instructed and the machine and components remain free from blockages), the motor should not overheat. This is one of the many reasons why Pacvac stands by its offer of a 2 year warranty on the body and motor of our machines. We take product quality very seriously and would also like a chance to provide some advice on machine use and maintenance so we can help you to get the best performance from your Pacvac vacuum cleaners. It would be greatly appreciated if you could please contact our offices on (08) 9479 1444 either between 8.00am-4.00pm AWST to speak with a member of our team or email us at [email protected] so that we can better identify the problems you have had and resolve your issues to the best of our ability. PacVac Superpro Duo 700
For 4 bedroom home, I Bought in April 2014 after Old Hoover died. First though BACK vacuum may be heavy, but I was wrong PacVac is the MOST convenient vacuum I ever had. Don't feel like 5kg at you back. Keep moving while vacuuming flawless with LOOSING SUCTION ( Unlike Hoover..looses suction every 15 minutes). Very long sturdy cord.
BEST BEST BEST EVER
Called PacVac company last week Oct 2014 when vacuum shut down by it shelf because of over heating while sucking catalog paper. Excellent customer service, listen to my question and provided proper technical support. After 30mins turned on and started working.

Wish I had of got one ealier!
I can't believe how good this machine is! My favourite thing is that vacuuming doesn't feel like a chore any more. It is so easy to vacuum the house and the suction is excellent. I have had it for over 1 year now and haven't even needed to clean the filter, only change the paper bag and it sucks like I just bought it. My friend is a cleaner and put me onto it. She has used the same brand for 15 years. This leaves domestic models in the dirt :)
Suction and I can clean the whole house without unplugging the cord.
It looks heavy but when you wear it you don't even notice it is on your back - I reckon anyone that bought one would have nothing bad to say.

Great value, excellent for tall users and for domestic use.....
The Superpro 700 is a great, robust machine that is built to last. I'm a tall guy (6ft 5in) who struggled with regular vacuums over the years due to my height. The backpack design allows me to maintain good posture and vacuum more often. Cleaning with the Superpro is easier, faster and healthier. The vacuum is effective on my carpets and hard floors. While I only brought the Superpro for home use the tough and simple design really appealed to me. If anything breaks on the machine, and I mean anything, you can easily find replacement parts onlin...Read more

While I admire the industrial design and selected features on certain premium domestic machines, the proven reliability, strength and posture benefits of the Superpro is what won me over. If you are fed up with 'pull along' vacuums or $800+ price tags try a commercial machine like the Superpro. Powerful, great value, comfortable to wear.1 comment

Mark Hasked
Unit has always worked very well, but for some reason our Pacvac superpro has lost its suction. The motor sounds like it is working fine, we have cleaned the dust bag and filter and have also checked for pipe blockages. Any ideas as to what the problem might be!
1 answer
Pacvac TeamPacvac
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your enquiry, we’re thrilled you love our Superpro 700!
There could potentially be a blockage in the bent end handle piece, which we have a simple trick to check.
Remove the handle piece from the hose, and drop a 10 cent coin down one end.
If the coin doesn't come out of the other end there's a blockage, if it does then there may be another issue.
If this is the case could you please advise your location so we could connect you with your closest service outlet?
Please don't hesitate to reach out directly to us if you need any further help!
Kind Regards,
Zoe

Pacvac TeamPacvac
Hi Steve,
We love hearing that you've been with Pacvac for years, and how exciting that you're in the market for an upgrade!
At the moment Pacvac's battery powered machines are battery-powered only, however each of our these machines are supplied with 4 batteries to keep you going for longer.
Our batteries have a 1.5 hour charge time per pair, so while you're vacuuming for up to 45 minutes with one pair, you can charge the spare pair and interchange the batteries for a prolonged clean time.
I hope this answers your question, and if you need any help with your upgrade please don't hesitate to ask!
Kind Regards,
Zoe

What is the difference between the 1000 watt 2 stage motor and 1300 watt single stage ?
1 answer
Pacvac TeamPacvac
Hi Davo,
Thank you for your enquiry!
The main difference between a single and two stage motor is the movement of airflow through the motor.
A two stage motor has two fans and single stage has one fan to push the air through. Adding a fan improves vacuum suction and increases the vacuums capability.
With regard to the difference in wattage, most people believe that higher wattage means better suction power, however the design of the vacuum unit from filtration, tank capacity and floor tools all matter with regard to how much airflow and suction you get.
A better specification to refer to is the Volumetric Airflow, which is how the air is moved through the system.
For example, our Superpro 700 backpack vacuum cleaner (used extensively throughout the commercial cleaning industry), creates ultimate levels of airflow with its advanced filtration system.
It has a 1000w motor and Volumetric Airflow of 38 litres per second, compared to our popular Thrift backpack vacuum cleaner which has a 1300w motor and a Volumetric Airflow of 40 litres per second.
So, you can see that even with an extra 300 watts in power this only provides a small difference in Volumetric Airflow, which all comes down to how efficient the design is.
We hope this has provided you with an insight to your question, if you would like to discuss further we’d be more than happy to take your call.
Kind Regards,
Zoe
