I have bought items from Peters of Kensington numerous times, including sending gifts to friends. The delivery is always speedy and goods have always arrived in good order. Customer service is excellent. Pricing is very competitive and postage is very reasonable.I am really enjoying their new "Deal of the Day" and recently picked up some glasses which were amazingly cheap and great quality. I am an avid online shopper and I purchase items from local and overseas merchants. I find PK's product range and prices to be the most competitive especially home/kitchen stuff. They carry most high end international quality brands as well. Flash marketing, posh sounding brand and impressive website - but beware, this is a bit of a facade. It took several purchases before we realised that they are overpriced and many of the 2 tier brands are actually pretty cheap/nasty. Placed order Tuesday early am for over $400 with all items listed as "in stock". Received call Wednesday afternoon to confirm delivery address as according to them, changing our address since last order could be a sign of dodgyness.... Assumed they would be dispatched that day.

Checked website Friday am, still listed as in progress. Called Cust service and was advised would be posted out that day. Also received email early afternoon to state items had "shipped".

If you have placed an order where the website shows stock available and it runs out before your order is processed they simply do not feel the need to advise you. I have experienced this twice with them only recently. On both occasions, the online tracking showed a lengthy time in the process of my order, a closer investigation indicated they were "out of stock" on my requested items. I have been a Peter's of K customer for many years and have always had good shopping experiences there. The range and quality of the products sold is generally excellent, and the price are usually very competitive. Quite frequently I have found certain items (such as Scanpan cookware and Antler luggage) selling for way under the prices asked by other outlets such as DJs. I bought a set of 6 Portmeirion mugs online. One of the mugs cracked at the join between the handle and the mug after the first run through the dishwasher. Peters told me to post it back. I went to the post office (what a drag) lined-up and bought a box for $2.50. The post office told me it would cost $6.50 to post back - this was almost half the cost of the mug. What absolute appalling customer service! When I ordered and paid for this item I particularly requested that it be posted promptly.

I see from Australia Post tracking facility that despite being paid for on December 9th it was not lodged until the 13th and then in a bulk lodgement which will delay the delivery even further.

I have used Peters of Kensington several times over the last few years and I have not had any problems. I keep going back to them and think they provide a very good service. Having previously lived in remote Australia even then I never found delivery times particularly long. I have bought homewards, kitchen items, linen, bathroom items and gifts from them.
The things I have bought have been very competitive prices. Delivery times have been reasonable and the packaging secure. I've never had a problem
