Excellent customer service!
I ordered my item at 8:50am on a Tuesday and by 11:30am the same morning Australia Post had received shipping information! Item arrived 7am Thursday morning in perfect condition and ready to be gift wrapped in time to be given to the birthday boy on the weekend :) I had initially placed my order with another online store but was forced to cancel when it became apparent that the item would take three weeks to arrive (even though the website stated 3 - 5 days!!! Thank you Peter's of Kensington for coming to my rescue...you'll always be my first point of call from now on.. :)

Faulty Goods
I have in the past shopped online with POK without incident or problem, however the in-store experience needs significant improvement! I received a digital kitchen timer as a gift - it wasn't expensive, however it was my favourite colour and gratefully received. Sadly, upon first and second use, the digital display failed and it kept timing out, resulting in me almost burning what I was cooking because it didn't keep track of the cooking time. Well we went to return it today, were confronted with a rather large security guard who told us we nee...Read more
ded to leave the faulty item with him in exchange for a ticket and to take the ticket to the customer service counter only to have the service attendant disappear out the back to retrieve the faulty item we had just left with security. When they returned they asked what was wrong. We demonstrated the failing display (it was evident that it didn't work) by looking at it, however they needed to verify procedure with a manager on the phone before providing us with a solution. The solution; a credit note. We asked for a refund because the product was faulty and were told that this didn't follow company procedure. We asked for an alternative solution and were offered a "gift card" which could be used on line if we didn't want to spend the money in POK today. Proceeding with the gift card solution involved 2 staff members filling out paperwork, activating the gift card, putting it in a gift card card holder and then in an envelope. This might make perfect sense, however when the total cost of the faulty product was $5.50, I have to question the commercial viability of such a protracted process, which left us annoyed and not getting out of there quick enough - never to return. As for online - the total cost of the gift card and packaging most likely came close to the $5.50 total cost of the faulty product and it is unlikely that this would cover the postage costs for an on line transaction.

No empathy with this Company... Avoid them
I have been a loyal Customer for many years and recommended them to many people, until today! I purchased a special birthday gift for my Son! On opening the bubble wrap, I discovered paint missing from the Model. Sadly I relied on them to come up with a satisfactory solution.... Big mistake. Firstly I had to ring because they didn't respond to my email. They lacked empathy for my situation and simply responded by sending return slips, stating they wouldn't do anything until the damaged goods were received back! All I wanted was a replacem...Read more
ent forwarded ASAP so my son would get the gift on his birthday. ..or at least an evoucher from them to give him. They refused to do anything until they had the faulty one back. Now being in business, I understand this....but I have been buying from them for years!! I was probably one of their most loyal Customers and they couldn't trust me enough to forward a voucher or replacement model before getting the damaged one back! So much for loyalty with this lot!!!!! If you want to shop with a Company that has a heart ♥..... Avoid Peters of KensingtonSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Poor service
I have placed several orders with POK and some have been OK. I have had 2 problems. First one was when I bought a painted tray, which turned out to have an unsightly scratch across the top. I rang the service department and enquired about getting a replacement. They said I needed to take a photo of the damaged tray and email it to them, quoting the order number. I did this, then waited some days for a response. No response came, so I sent the email again with photos. This time I got a response and my money back, so all good in the end. I shop a...Read more
lot online, and other companies I use are much easier to deal with regarding returns. More recently, I ordered a set of bowls, and they sent the wrong size. I could go through the whole process again and post back the bowls, but have discarded the packaging, and it would be a hassle I can do without. I'll keep the bowls they sent me. Next time, I will buy from a department store and pay extra if necessary - at least I all see what I'm getting.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Worst company I've ever dealt with.
I've never written a review about a company before but this has to be the worst company I've come across with the worst customer service and support ever. [name removed] does not respond to correspondence. This company overcharged me for an item. A simple admin error, the amount charged to me was entered incorrectly by POK and then did nothing to refund me the difference or cancel the order before it had been processed altogether. Will be referring to consumer affairs.

We love Peters
We have been going to the January sale for many years, we spend all day there, have a relaxing lunch in the cafe, coffee & cake for a late afternoon tea, they have merchandise that won't be seen anywhere else, great prices & excellent customer service, we think a visit to Peters is a lovely shopping experience, occasionally we shop online & always had very fast deliveries, can't wait for the January sale next year

delivery and store parking a nightmare
No choice but delivery by OZ Post And StarTrack - same thing, both insist on someone at home for signature. Unreasonable in this day and age. And not good for retailers in the long run. OZ Post reckon they have other options but they all revolve around the customer doing the running around and not the courier. Or the driver decides whether or not to leave the parcel. Or indeed whether or not to even try and see if someone is home. They just throw card in. This despite being given the ok to leave. Bad luck customer.
Shame Peters of K doesn't give choice of courier and doesn't provide store parking. Therefore SORRY NO BUSINESS from me Peters of K.

Excellent online Store
I often purchase from Peter's of Kensington. The website is very easy to use. Delivery is fast and by Australia Post which you must sign for. I love seeing the daily specials email. Delivery is always packaged in a larger box and well packaged with material that breaks down with water. Prices are good. If you need to communicate via chat I give them 10 out of 10

Poor Service
Went to Peters of Kensington for a simple exchange on an unopened gift item and was told outside of credit policy nothing we can do.
Was willing to pay extra for the colour we wanted but was told its way to far out of policy (14 days).
Won't ever step foot here again and will tell as many people as I can.

Prompt attention to product fault
I bought a packet of rolling-pin bands which were faulty - the bands in each set were different sizes. After I contacted PofK they offered a refund of half the price, and true to their word, it was in my account a couple of days later. I'm guessing they couldn't replace them because all the sets had the same fault. I appreciate PofK's practical, fair and quick resolution.

Only go here if they are the only people who have what you need!
Except for the fact that they were the only stockists of the item I needed, I would never have gone there (horrid Sydney weekend traffic and a paucity of parking spaces near their premises), and will never, ever do so again.
The whole place is jumbled, cluttered and choc-a-bloc full of too many goods vying for display over too little floorspace. One could live with this, though, were it not for the attitude and demeanour of the staff, who were, for the most part, haughty, dimissive, curt, not to mention uninterested, uncaring and decidedly unh...Read more

Almost Perfect Online Shopping
I have purchased from Peter's of Kensington three times. Only once was there's an issue and it was rectified almost immediately. I purchased a gift in the afternoon however on checkout the free gift wrapping service did not work. I emailed them right and did not get a reply. I phoned the next morning and the customer service staff rectified it immediately. I am happy with that. The gift hasn't arrived yet probably due to being Christmas time delays.

awful after sales service
I would not recommend anyone using Peters of Kensington, their customer service is non existent. They basically do not care about customer service all they want is your money. I ordered two christmas presents to be sent overseas with a value of $45, then the recipient tells me they have to pay another $50 because Peters of Kensington put an incorrect value on the parcel. I have tried to discuss this with them and they basically have told me there is nothing they can do about it and I should have been told that there could be extra fees. I w...Read more
as not told and the only reason there are extra fee's is because of Peter of Kensingtons mistake. they accept no responsibility and basically just do not care. I will never ever use this company again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Couldn't be happier
I live in Alice Springs and so online shopping is pretty essential, if you are fussy about what you want. This business is a dream to deal with. If you get your order in at a reasonable time of day, it is packed and on its way before the end of the business day....which is amazing service! The Alice Springs post is pretty dodgy, to say the least, and for some reason, it can take weeks from the time of ordering to actual delivery, however with this business, the order is here in a few days! Beautifully packed, so that there is never any damage. They really do go the extra mile, and are very much appreciated by a very satisfied customer!

bad customer service
when I entered the gate, their security guy said disdainfully" did you see here?" and then pointed to a " closed" sign on a door. How about tell me outside the entrance?! Very rude service!!
