I think it is great and wasn't that expensive compared to others on the market. Because of its size I only have to sterilise once a day which is very convenient. Only taking 2 minutes is also very convenient so you're not wasting time on cleaning bottles. A friend of mine bought several different sterilisers before buying this one and she is also very happy with it. Avent is excellent quality and is money well spent.
It is easy to use, holds quite a lot and takes only 2 minutes in the microwave and it's done. It also sterilises the Avent Breast Pump which is really great.

Overall the 2 minute advertised time it takes is a little deceptive as it is based on the wattage of your microwave, but mine is an 800 watt and it takes 7 minutes which is not so bad. It is also a good place to store your bottles if only using one at a time as it keeps everything sterile for up to 24 hours.
The Only gripe I have about it is the price, We paid 58 or 59 dollars for it and found it to be little more than a tupperware container with a nice rack in it.
Would buy again though.
Easy, Convenient and holds quite a large capacity

I find it takes a long time to pack compared to the electric striliser.
you have to check the wattage of your microwave inorder to be correctly sterilising you bottles and accessories for example I use it at my mothers and she has a fairly new microwave and it actually takes 4 minutes in 1100 watt microwave not two as stated on the box so I was a little annoied when I realised, at home I have the iq24 electric and I love.
Overall it does the job i wanted it to do but in hindsight we should of just purchased another electric one.
Avent brand compatable
you have to check the wattage of your microwave inorder to be correctly sterilising you bottles and accessories. Its also very fiddely

I was given mine as a hand me down and I can't believe how handy it is. It is a major improvement on boiling and is worth the investment. Especially if you are a first time mum as it comes with several bottles. It is so easy to use that anyone that comes to visit or help can sterilize your things for you while you have a rest. It is a must have for all mums who want to bottle feed or those who use dummies. It is much easier then using any sterlizing liquids which take up valuable bench space. It can be stored in a cupboard of left in the microwave when empty!
Convenient, easy to use and I can do other things while I am waiting.
Beware it gets very hot and you must remember to put the water in it!

This has been brilliant for sterilizing bottles and breast pump. It really is fast, safe and simple. It doesn't take up a lot of space, you're not waiting for long periods if you need bottles in a hurry and it is so easy to take with you on visits or holidays. Highly recommended. Makes life very easy and is the only method we used even when bottle feeding breast milk from the very beginning. Be careful that items going in are microwave safe, best to stick to recommended brand if in doubt.
Inexpensive, quick, easy and portable.
Sometimes a little hard to clip down.

it is so quick and convenient and it doesn't take up alot of bench space like the electric steamer models. I cause it and put it back in the cupboard without taking up too much bench space! It is also alot cheaper than the electric models and is still good avent quality
its quick and easy and portable

Microwave Steam

How do I store my bottles and teats after sterilizing? I left it on the drying rack but there's still moisture in everything (everything evaporates nicely when I boil though).

Hi CinD, thanks for reaching out. It is recommended that you do not leave a feeding nipple or AirFree vent insert in direct sunlight or heat. Also never leave in disinfectant for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the parts. Keep all parts dry in a covered container. You can find more information here: https://philips.to/2TbYEoF

If you have any further questions, we’re available 24/7 on Facebook (https://philips.to/fb247) and Twitter (https://philips.to/tw247). You can also reach us on 1300 363 391 (AU) or on 0800 658 224 (NZ).
