Top quality machine and top quality coffee
After researching a replacement for my rusty but trusty 2009 Rancilio Silvia, I settled on the Profitec Pro 500. What a revelation! Consistent, reliable, top cafe quality coffee, in single or multiples, without effort. Years of inconsistent results with the Silvia, with no real means of adjusting the brew, beyond coarser or finer grinds. The very obvious meticulous design and engineering of the Profitec is such a change. Small items like no burn steam wand and hot water wand, zero-wear steam valve, built-in PID, steam gauge, etc. Best of ...Read more
all, there is no possibility of rust, unlike the Silvia, whose chassis was rusty within the first 18 months. Overall, the machine is a piece of industrial art that also has superb functionality and is well worth the price premium as it will be an family heirloom, unlike the 5 year life of many mainstream competitors.Purchased in January 2021.

Love it
Makes a delicious and consistent coffee! It's easy to use and has a great steady stream of steam. Fits easily on the kitchen bench and doesn't take up too much room. Easy to clean. Bought it with the grinder as recommended by the manufacturer and I've found that they work well together to give me a excellent grind and pour.

The best coffee machine for home. AMAZING
Wow. This machine is just great.
After a 12 month hunt to for the perfect machine I committed to this one and never looked back.
Quiet, reliable, well built and beautiful to use.
Highly recommended by me and thanks to Paul at K Bean for all the help. Couldn't be happier.

Seriously good coffee, and so easy to use.
My Profitec Pro 500 was from Jet Black Espresso and came in a box labeled Pro 550 AU, I guess the 550AU is with Australian plugs? This is a German designed, Italian made espresso coffee machine with an E61 brew group.
I just love the coffee I get from this machine ... it makes the mornings special.
I also love the stylish looks, very polished stainless, and square design - not like the Rocket Giotto (but I understand that is personal preference). Also, inside it seems very well laid out - hopefully I won't have to pull it apart myself, but ...Read more
that should make for easier servicing. It has a 2L *stainless steel* boiler and a 1400W heating element. I chose the 500 over the 700 as I didn’t have the bench depth that the 700 needs for the Rotary pump. The vibration pump is very quiet (compared to most vibration pumps I have heard). The other cool things are that the water tank is accessible by lifting whole top cover cup tray off - sounds weird, but this is great, because you can leave the cups, etc. on the top when filling it. Also the cup warmer really works - the cups really get quite warm. The lever handle is very easy to use as are the the knobs for the steam and hot water. The steam wand will run continually, and I have made 6 or so milk coffees in a row without it needing to reheat - and it froths the milk very quickly!Similar opinion?
