non existent customer service
non existent customer service. I dispute a transaction and Ayush Gupta never even read my dispute before rejecting my dispute claim. Why bother even having a dispute process if no one even bothers to read anything.

This card is for the same people who buy foreign cash at airports.
Poor customer service, missing money, shocking exchange rates, not able to be used at many businesses overseas, long transfer times (up to 8 weeks to go into your account) and having to deal with Filipino call centre when something goes wrong (and it will) who read from a script and have no authority to actually do anything. Why would you bother? If you want a Qantas card that works, apply for one from the Big 4 banks, it will work and yes you pay fees, but it works out heaps cheaper. I swapped to my banks Qantas M/C 2 years ago and travelled to 18 countries with no problems, this card I had for mainly the US and Europe and spent $354 on phone calls and was stuck a number of times because it wouldn't work.

Poor product and awful service
I really do not know why Qantas is associated with the bank that provides this service. Was on hold for an hour and then they cut me off. On two occasions when I loaded money the funds were deducted from my bank account but not credited to the Qantas Money card. Unable to get hold of their call centre which must be severely understaffed.

High Hidden Fees
The hidden fees are ridiculously high compared to other available products. Yes there are attractive perks but trust me you are paying a high price for them. Do your research and look at other card options well in advance of your O/S trip.

The worst credit card provider I've dealt with... avoid at all costs
1) There application process is far more convoluted than any other provider.
2) They do not let you export your current month and previous month's transactions in CSV format. Only offering the content in PDF statements. This means at any point in time you can never reconcile your credit card statement in Excel.
3) They ask for your password in the application (after you are already logged in via your PIN) just to access your statements.

Absolutely terrible. Wouldn’t recommend
The card isn’t working and neither are the app, website and customer service. Don’t even bother getting one card. You will stuck at your airport and will not be able to do anything

No customer support if there's trouble- avoid at all costs
Even if you could get a better rate with Qantas money vs a bank I would suggest you pay a premium to go with a bank which is likely to have decent 24/7 customer support. I dealt with an issue of fraud and you can call Qantas Money and speak to a Philippines call centre- whereas most banks have 24/7 fraud departments in Australia with very professional and helpful people. I was left high and dry by Qantas because they clearly contract out the work to people who aren't trained to deal with problems outside of their scripts.
This is not Qantas's core business and it really is diabolical, stick with some real financial institutions or companies that do this as their business.

Don't waste your time & money, a product that stains the Qantas name!
Have been a long-time customer & growing less happier each day, I will no longer use it for foreign currency transactions. Different exchange rates for different things (load vs transaction - the latter not published so IMO it's rather misleading). The transaction only lists foreign amount and not the exchange rate - I didn't have that currency loaded onto my card so it took an 18 minute phone call to find out what was the exchange rate applied to my online purchase & why it differs so much to their published rates!? Worst-possible exchange ra...Read more
tes!!! On another occasion, card not working after card-renewal, customer service somewhere in the Philippines (hard to hear over the phone) it was rather embarrassing holding up the line as my card-payment wouldn't go through although I knew it had plenty of money loaded onto, the Qantas Cash Master Card people denied any problems with my account however card magically started "working" again after 3rd phone call... & the list could go on & on - not happy really, it's sad to have the Qantas name linked to such a product!Similar opinion? Poor exchange rate!
Brief review, think about using you banks Mastercard/Visa debit travel card as this facility just uses MC/V exchange rate plus add their substanstial margin to create a very bad exchange rate.

No problems with Card
Having traveled to Canada & USA over the past 6 years & have had only one issue with card thus far & that was with an ATM in Canada when short changed ($50 instead of $60). I have never used the Qantas card as a "holding" card in hotels but used my bank credit card for this purpose & payed the bill on checkout with Qantas card. Overall a good product

A great money card to use
I have been to Singapore on two occasions using QC and never had a problem both at the ATM and in shop. I have always loaded my card a couple of months before traveling so money was always there in the estimated time they gave. I never used customer service cause I never had a problem. A great product

The worst ever! Beware of the fraudulent and lack of customer service
Ok, so I have had a few issues with this company but I kept giving them chances. The customer service is in some US state and not Australian. Terrible and deceptive. They have taken my money and said I had a negative balance which I did not and was not showing as a negative balance on any of their platforms. I still could not access the funds even explaining an emergency. Apparently an overseas hotel charged my card months after staying and they honoured it without any chance of me disputing it months later. They left me stranded in a city with a toddler because I deposited money due to the bushfire emergency and they would not let me withdraw it. Just misleading and deceptive and I hope that Australian authorities step in soon

Fraudulent activity on account
Somehow someone used my card number only (without the card, exp date or 3 digit number) to made 16 purchases in Sydney last week. QC sent an email 24 hours after the purchases asking me to verify the purchases. I rang CS and advised them that the purchases were not mine and decline the funds leaving my bank. The manager advised me the transactions would be declined.
I contacted the police and made an official police report for the fraudulent transactions.
Even though QC had placed a temp hold on my account, they still released the funds for the fraudulent purchases the next day anyway.
CS is located in Manilla and is basically script driven.
I would not recommend this product.

Just checked my balance and I seem to have lost the $200 I had stored on the card. My balance is now $4.
I travelled to Thailand a few years ago and kept Thai currency on the card. 2 years ago I checked the balance and decided to continue to leave the cash on the card to see if Thai baht exchange became more favourable. My money has since disappeared off the card.

Qantas let me down again
Qantas Cash had a promotion that if you loaded a minimum of $2,500 onto your card you'd receive 1500 points I just needed a few more points so I could upgrade my next flight, so decided to do it. I waited a couple of weeks the points didn't come through. I contacted Qantas only to be told that you don't receive the points for six to eight weeks after the promotion finishes. it's so disappointing that is not at all clear on the front page where they make that offer, because otherwise I would not have loaded money onto my account at a time when thes Australian dollar was so low. I did it just for the points but won't receive the points in time. Qantas disappoints again.

Fees are hidden in poor exchange rate
After a successful trip to NZ using Qantas Money all the way I was keen to try it again on a trip to Bali and Lombok. However after encountering difficulties with the card at a hotel and being forced to use my backup credit card, the stark reality of Qantas Money came to light. Inclusive of fees, two similar sized transactions (one on Westpac Altitude MasterCard and one on Qantas Money) had cost almost 10% more on Qantas Money. Despite Westpac charging me 3% and Qantas Money not attracting a fee, the poor exchange rate offered by Qantas Money made the difference. Suffice to say I immediately unloaded my QM card and have been using the Westpac card ever since.

transferred money from the card to my external bank account and it still hasn't arrived in my bank
Apart from having the worst exchange rates when travelling, charging high fees when some banks charge no international transaction fees, and taking an extremely long time to load money onto the card, the bad review is because of this:
I transferred money from my Qantascash card into my bank account 8 weeks ago and the money hasn't shown up. I've called 3 times (a painful process each time) and the last time I didn't even have the option to speak to anyone so I've resorted to posting on online forums. Never, EVER, use Qantas money
I was travelling in South America. 3 days before I arrived in Buenos Aires I loaded funds onto my Qantas cash card. When I arrived, there were still no funds in my account. I called qantas cash customer care to see if there was a problem. They could see my transaction but confirmed the money had not been released. I sent them screenshots of my transaction as requested and they said it would be investigated by the relevant team. This was on a Saturday morning, but the relevant team only worked Monday to Friday! Thats another 48 hours I had ...Read more
to survive with no money available and they offered no solution to this. Monday I called back. It had been passed on but they had no reply. They then said they would mark it as urgent (although why it wasnt already marked as urgent considering the time frame Im not sure). I heard nothing more that day. I rang again Tuesday morning, still nothing. By Tuesday afternoon, there was still no money in my account and so I called again. Still, there was no update ... and the only way they could contact the relevant people was via EMAIL! My initial transaction was on the 19th, it was now the 23rd. In 7 days I had been offered no solution or explanation. What kind of global travel service has their relevant people only available mon-fri, 9 to 5? How much customer care does it show leaving someone stranded on the other side of the world with no money, no explanation and no solution for several days?? This was the worst case of customer service Ive ever experienced!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Does Qantas cash card have any fees

No, doesn't
Frequent Flyer
Technically it doesn't, however they give you poor exchange rates which make it much more expensive then using your bank credit card. It is the same as buying money at the airport, usually 20% worse than at a suburban office of the same company.
